I travel to The Keys a couple times a month for work and often stay at Hampton or Fairfield and during certain seasons it can get very, very expensive. Friend recommended the Sea Dell Motel as an option and can confirm I have become a regular. Have stayed here three times now and the rooms are clean, the refrigerator works and the staff is very friendly. Very large ice machine by the office, lots of picnic tables spread around to have a nice dinner outside and parking is convenient. There is a small pool which I have not used however seems nice.

The rooms are far enough away from the road that you do not really hear anything and lots of F&B options around the property.

If you are in the market for a nice, clean, safe place to stay and okay with a bit rustic I can def recommend and support this property.

Simple Old Florida motel, some good points some bad that need improvements. The location was perfect for our biking to old seven mile bridge and up to Key Colony and then Sombrero Beach, lots of restaurants around for breakfast and Publix for snacks drinks and lunch. The staff Ryan and Chris were very friendly and informative, we had our own parking spot infront of unit 23 with a a couple of chairs and table and BBQ. Inside the two queen size beds need replacing or at least with a comfy topper, the pillows were too small and luckily I had brought our own. The shower was set up for ADA but at an incline up to it from the bedroom area did not make sense. There is a good size frig and sink and coffee maker. The toilet and sink was also at an uneven floor for someone who would be in a wheel chair. Had 2 bars for hanging onto. This was the only room available at the time I booked and did not need these amenities.
The tile floor needs a good steaming to clean the dirty grout, if anything spend money on that and new bedding . It was fine for the 2 days we were there, big room and had everything we needed but not if you want a fancier place and more comfy sleep and the price was right.

This is an older Mom & Pop style motel which is in very good condition with comfortable bedding and many amenities for any traveler. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Convenient and less expensive location to stay when Key West is your destination. Beautiful drive across the 7 mile bridge from motel. Also near restaurants and ice cream. I would stay here again if ever in the area. There is also a well maintained pool although we weren't there long enough to enjoy it.

Shower chair legs were bent and broken bring your own like i did..Little refrigerator was all rusty the place was filthy the floors looked like they have been mopped in months !! There was no maid service even though we hung tag out to please clean . The end of the day we came back with towels hanging in a plastic bag on the door knob outside
Ice machine was broken they managed to get it fixed on our last day . This motel is old and it shows and the mattresses also showed it and the sheets were Peltie with fuzz balls ..

So cute from the outside, with fresh updated paint and foliage all around the property. It’s an old facility. Room was clean at the start but floor remained dirty the whole stay. Not sure how much the cleaning staff actually cleaned? Toilet seat fell off, but was repaired quickly. Beds were hard as a rock. Sheets are nice and clean. Great location. Friendly staff. Nice fresh paint. We had room 14 and room 5. 14 was a larger suite, but the futon (made of cloth) and chair (also made of cloth) were very very dirty, ripped and stained. No access to beach here, were told to go to sister property to access. A little extra cleaning and some updated furniture and beds could have increased the comfort level here greatly. Definitely would not stay again in its current condition.

We checked in a little early and the room had obviously just been cleaned with a very strong smelling cleaner. Luckily we had wandering to do while it aired out. The gentleman at the front desk had lots of information to share about local eateries and we found his reviews to be spot on! Parking was very close to our door and since we were on motorcycles, that was important to us. We were just a short ride from the Seven Mile Bridge, Turtle Hospital and Sombrero Beach, and were able to walk to a nature center, and Publix for necessities. Chickens were present but not intrusive. Loved the vintage feel and the TV channel card on display that explained how to make a phone call on the nonexistent room phone :). Would stay here again!!

Totally wish zero was an option for this placeMy 18 year old called the hotel and asked them if they would allow him to check in before he reserved the room. They told him yes. They couldn't find his reservation when he got there. They told him he couldn't check in because they don't give rooms to children. I was 12 hours away so I called and the lady that answered said they couldn't give them the room and was very rude. Mind you they were 6 hours from home. When I found them a place to stay all of a sudden they found his reservation and told him by law they had to let him stay because of the reservation and they would only honor one night. He paid for two. They would not refund him the money that he spent either. Totally recommend Bonefieh. They helped out in a time of need.

My husband and I arrived on a Thursday evening. I was greeted by two very helpful gentlemen in the office who gave me suggestions on places to eat and things to see at Key West. Our room was in the back - just a basic room but clean. I did not hear any road noise in the room we had. However, there is some kind of business less than a block away with lots of heavy moving equipment that woke us up Friday morning - we get up early so not a problem but if you are late sleepers just be aware of that. Otherwise, the price is very good and we liked our stay here.

This motel may be a low price for the keys but be aware. In the middle of the night my partner had cockroaches go over her face. We turned on the light and there were a lot of them crawling around the room. We both did not get any sleep that night. In the morning the hotel said they exterminate and treat the rooms for cockroaches every other week. They did not offer any compensation for this horrid night! Another party in our group had an iguana in their room. This room was a big deterrent not to visit the keys again anytime soon.

Wow, what can I say? This motel was great. Is it the Hilton, no of course not. It is an older motel on the US 1 in Marathon. If I would have to guess built in the 1970's. Room was clean, had great AC, clean sheets, plenty of towels, plenty of hot water, and pressure. There are two dog friendly rooms available. We were in room 20 which is not the typical dog room there, but they said to stay in that one anyway. The day staff that we interacted with were very friendly. Pool was clean and heated. Lot's of restaurants within walking distance if you are too tired to drive. Did I mention they do not charge extra per dog per night? We paid $169.00 a night during our Feb 10th through 13th stay. Very affordable. If you are looking for a concierge, pay for parking, day spa, this is not your spot! If you are looking for a clean, affordable, dog friendly spot, then here is your winner. Sombrero Beach which is dog friendly and touted as the the most beautiful beach in the Keys is a short maybe 1 and 1/2 away. And a Publix is right before that turn to the beach, what more could you ask for!
