Marlin Bay Yacht Club is an ideal location for vacationers looking for the Keys experience without the hassle. Our resort-style accommodations leave nothing to be desired.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Marlin Bay Resort was absolutely amazing. It was so nice having the boat on premises. The units were beautiful and very clean. Our children age from 16 to 24 and everyone had a fabulous time. All of the employees were such a pleasure to deal with. We highly recommend the resort..it was worth every penny.

Specific unit and resort were as advertised and exactly as shown in the pictures. Our unit was a 3/3, each with a King bed and an ensuite. High end finishes throughout and unit/grounds/pool areas were very clean and well kept, a crew was out each morning for pool cleaning, grounds pickup and sanitizing of high touch point areas. Our unit (27) was set a little bit back from the pool and main grounds but was also one of the least expensive units. There are 4/4 units that also have a roof top deck, certainly would have been a great feature but also came with an upcharge. Was nice having the pool side bar for drinks, they were open roughly 12-7pm each day and any purchases went to your CC on file (no money changes hands). A great improvement to this set up would be ANY type of food offering other than small bags of chips. We all understand if the Resort does not want to be a licensed food merchant but man, bring in a food truck or something for a few hours a day! Will not hurt my rating for this Resort but wanted to make sure people knew. In lieu of that, there are a number of restaurants in walking distance although there was long waits during peak dinner times. The Sunset Tower along the Marina walkway is a great addition as is walking along the docks chatting it up with the friendly boating crowd. The Resort is located in the middle of Marathon and the Keys making it convenient to head either direction if needed. Aside from just hanging around the pool, we visited many of the local establishments along with an afternoon at Sombrero Beach, a nice local place with a fantastic park attached and clean bath houses. Although we tried many places, our favorites were Irie (utterly fantastic food and great setting), Castaways and Sparky's Landing. While we are apt to always try new places, we all agreed (3 couples) that we would not hesitate to stay at this property again!

My wife and I were looking to take our 18 year old son and two of his friends to Florida Keys where we could all enjoy ourselves. For my wife and I we were looking for a beautiful location to relax and watch the sunsets, for the three 18 year old boys, they were looking for somewhere that they could do fun activities like fishing, jet skiing or swimming in the warm waters of the Keys. Marlin Bay in Marathon Key was perfect for all of us! The house we rented was excellent especially the roof top deck, they even had a very nice heated pool. The bedrooms were perfect and the Master Suite was excellent. The kitchen was huge which allowed cooking for the five us easy and enjoyable. Each of the 3 floors had there own decks with great views of the marina and the Gulf of Mexico waters. The unit even had a garage large enough to fit our Chevy Suburban! The staff were very accommodating and helpful, we arrived around midnight and unfortunately the code provided to us to get into the house was not programmed correctly, but the overnight security were there within seconds to let us in and by mid-morning the next day the code was fixed. We were there when the rest of the world and the States were starting to go crazy during the COVID-19 issues and the staff were very good at keeping us updated with events and how they would impact our stay. With everything that was going on we had a great time at Marlin Bay and can't wait to return when things get better.

We couldn’t be happier with our choice to stay at Marlin Bay for the past week. Our group was a family of four plus another couple. The marina is top notch, protected, private and safe. All the amenities you need as an avid boater and fisherman (cleaning tables, grills, hoses, staff). Additionally some excellent viewing areas for the sunsets. Our unit was gorgeous and frankly I wanted to move in forever. Since the resort is so new, and also well-maintained, there is almost no wear and tear to be seen. Floors, carpets, furniture, inside drawers and cabinets is all spic and span. Everything in the kitchen was meticulously organized and had all the tools we needed to cook all week. Very spacious kitchen too. The elevator was a lifesaver when moving in and out with all of our food, coolers and luggage. Comfortable beds, plenty of linens and towels, clean showers and bathrooms. I also loved the pool because it was large and never crowded. I guess max occupancy of the whole resort is about 100 people but it never feels like there is more than 15 around. Our unit faced the bar and had a partial view of pool and marina which was great. Multiple patios, roof deck to watch sunset, laundry in unit and more. You cannot go wrong with this place!!! I can’t wait to go back.

This place is gorgeous and run impeccably well. Marina service is what you hope for and rarely receive. Prices compare to other places that don’t match up in service or quality. Each slip has non marking fenders. Houses were great as well, fully equipped and luxurious, elevator, mini fridge in master, everything you would need and again the service for the houses left nothing to be desired. Food would be nice if available but then this would become a busier place and it seems that’s not what it’s about with the gated community and being so private and secure.

This marina is among the best that we have been to on the east coast up to Connecticut! And we move boats up and down the East coast every 6 months. Absolutely the best! The most beautifully/clean manicured property we have experienced. We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend. The dockmaster, Greg, was amazing and let us stay right on the end of the pool area

I travel to Marathon several times a year and this was the first time I stayed at Marlin Bay Resort. I cannot say enough about the experience. It was hands down, one of the best places I have visited. The house was immaculate and beautifully, decorated with incredibly comfortable beds. They did not spare any expense, and it was completely loaded with every amenity you could possibly need. Every bedroom had their own pool towels, and there was a Beach bag filled with specific towels to take to the beach. If you needed anything, you just texted your concierge and they would arrange it for you instantaneously. The pool was beautiful and the bartender at the pool bar was so great. She knew all of us by name and really made the experience special. The clubhouse was also beautiful, but we didn’t have any rain so we didn’t really have any need to take advantage of it. They have a beautiful gym with a sauna and steam room and a shower, a pool table, shuffleboard, table, ping-pong table, and every other game by the pool you could possibly imagine. They even had a lookout tower to climb to watch the sunset but we had a roof deck so we didn’t use it. They had huge grills and picnic tables all around the property and Adirondack chairs to sit and watch the sunset. I can’t wait to comeback!!

I cannot say enough great things about Marlin Bay! From day one of booking and communication to arrival and departure and everything in between. The concierge service was 100% knowledgeable and available at all times. Location was perfect, we could walk to a couple restaurants and Publix/Winn Dixie was a short distance away. We rented a boat and the marina staff and location was convenient to 7 mile bridge and out to Sombrero Reef. The residence was well equipped, spacious and overall amazing. I cannot wait to go back!

I want to start off with I have been coming to Marlin Bay for years with my family. We’re a large family so we typically rent out the larger unit. Our previous times have been incredible, giving us a reason to make this our yearly family trip. Unfortunately, this time was much different. Upon paying premium pricing (which we are fine with knowing how the unit presented itself in the past) the unit was not up to par. Our large wine fridge in the kitchen was not plugged in and we are avid wine drinkers. We plugged it in and it started making a very loud sound that would not turn off so we had to turn it off by the breaker. I called maintenance and they apologized but the condenser was broken. The elevator did not work functionally when we tried to use it. The elevator light was also out and the management company seemed to put a sticky light on top which wouldn’t work either and was hanging off. Going for a short walk to the pool bar or just out for a grocery run made it difficult to leave any of the older kids at home due to the front door never being able to lock. They provide you keys but the door isn’t even able to be locked from the inside. For a week we slept in the home with no means of security for ourselves or our valuables besides the front gate. If you’re familiar with the area the surroundings outside of the gate are not the best. We also tried to access the roof top with the balcony access but the door was locked not allowing us to get that full view of the marina that we paid for. We asked the team upfront why the door was locked not allowing us access and they said “it’s unsafe to allow anyone up there”. We paid for a boat slip and every time prior with that specific unit it’s been right in-front of our home but this time it was all the way towards the end on the other side. Needless to say this stay was such a disappointment. For the amount we paid for our stay. I just wish they would have brought all of this to my attention at the time of booking so I was aware of what I was getting into. I mentioned taking my stepmother who is handicap here but I couldn’t imagine how this would have been possible knowing now the elevator is not in operating order. Management needs to step it up. This property and what it was gave so many a reason to come back. If a unit is not prepared to have tenants than they should not be booking it.

We are truly sorry to hear that your stay this time was not as wonderful as the last time, as that is certainly not the experience we typically provide. Our apologies that the wine fridge was not working during your stay, but please rest assured we are addressing the necessary repair. It is just unfortunately taking much longer than expected to receive the required parts down here in The Keys. The elevators are now functioning properly. They will often now work correctly, if all the doors on the various levels are not completely closed. I am unsure if you reached out to our Front Desk or Maintenance Team about this issue, but we can often resolve the issue quite quickly by showing our guests the various doors and how they need to be completely closed. The lock on the one door is a bit tricky, but I can reassure you that it does indeed lock. Again, not sure if you reached out to our Front Desk or Maintenance Team about this issue, but we are always more than happy to quickly come to the home and show our guests how that particular lock and door function. The "rooftop decks" on our 4-bedroom homes have never been accessible to guests due to how steep and unsafe the ladder is, in addition to the large amount of HVAC equipment that is up there. We do not advertise our 4-bedroom homes as having rooftop decks, just a handful of our 3-bedroom homes have that advertised as an amenity. Regarding the boat slip, we will always try and get guests' boats as close to their home as possible. However, it looks like you booked just a couple weeks prior to your stay dates, so unfortunately by that time we had limited marina slip availability to work with. We do appreciate all your feedback and will certainly work with our team to address the issues. We also truly hope that your family returns to Marlin Bay to enjoy the stellar experience we know we can deliver.

We stayed in the 4 bedroom 3819 home and it was breathtaking. Our boat was located directly behind the property which gave our family easy access ,daily for their fishing trips in the glorious Florida Keys. The house was magnificently designed with every upgraded appliances to decor imaginable. You would believe it was magazine ready. Thrilled that we found Marlin Bay and have actually rented for Thanksgiving week. Also Melanie from their office was incredible, she answered all of our questions in detail and was always accessible in the event we needed anything to be answered regarding the rental . I would definitely say look into Marlin Bay if you are looking for a luxury rental home in a quiet area.
