Excellent value in the Keys. This Inn is o lay a year old and very well maintained. Surprising considering how laid back most of the locals. The room was immaculate, the bed was very comfortable(and I don’t say that often), the breakfast had a wide variety of items, both hot and cold including eggs & sliced/lightly crisp Kielbasa, waffle-maker, juice, coffee, fruit, cereal, toast and a very clean dining area. I would highly recommend. Hard to find this kind of quality & value for the price.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at this Hampton for our Keys vaca. The hotel staff was average, they did their job. At check out, as they asked how my stay was, I said "It was only ok. .", there was no follow up from the staff member, which is why I said, they did their job as they were taught. The two issues I had was that when I tried to get more information on the Hilton website as to the hotels Covid reduction in services, I was sent to the "company line" website. I wish Hilton would direct such an inquiry to the hotel's website or have the response more specific to the individual hotel. Because the Hampton we stayed at in Homestead, FL., had daily housekeeping, served a hot breakfast and displayed a more "normal" Hampton experience. All the negative I've mentioned was not the hotels fault, but my second issue is/was. I paid full price for those three nights, but received no housekeeping (yes, the staff said I could ask, but really,, that has always come with my rate, I should not have to ask). The "Grab and Go" bag had a small water, a muffin and a granola bar, no hot breakfast of any type or in any form was offered. Soooo, I pay full price for less service or offerings. I feel there should be some type of adjusted rates, if the hotel is not going to provide the experience one expects from a Hampton. BTW, I did read in USA today, while there, that Marathon, Key West and another "Key" city had the 3 highest hotel rates in the country during the time we were there. . .

We stayed a couple days on way to key west. The breakfast was awful. Yogurt not in ice or anything wiped. The girl standing in kitchen on her phone. Then the african American girl wipes down the cereal and the trash can and then wipes the counters. Yuck. Rooms small and needs more towels. We reserved with one card and they charged another when we got there. When we left they charged the other one too. So two cards tied up on vacation. Said nothing they Could do. Manager and front desk showed no compentence at all. Watch your money and health at this one.

The location of the hotel was easily accessible from the highway, and there is plenty of parking. The room furnishings were adequate and the queen beds were comfortable. The breakfast was above average in quantity and quality. The breakfast menu selection had some variation from day-to-day that enhanced the breakfast appeal. The eating area was fairly large and the number of available dining tables was adequate for the number of patrons present.
The so-called Happy Hour at the Tiki Bar outside was a disappointment. There were no snacks offered and a very limited discount on only a few refreshment options. There was some evidence of shoddy fixture installation in the bathroom of our room. The bathroom sliding door could not be completed closed due to interference with the floor. The shower sliding door would not stay closed because the top support bar had not been installed level. There did not appear to be any option on the room AC unit room for the fan to remain on.

I liked this hotel but there were a few things that bugged me. First there were no Diamond room upgrades which is always disappointing as a loyal Hilton Honors member. Next the rooms either faced the parking lot or an angled view of the pool although the inlet is the other side of the pool. That being said the rooms were somewhat small although the bathroom was fine. The room had a refrigerator and microwave and sink area which was nice. The balcony/patio was pleasant other than the neighbor who was blowing smoke onto our Balcony/patio. I guess non smoking doesnt extend to the patios. For some reason the room had a number of rust like stains in the bath are and floor which easily wiped up but for some reason housecleaning didnt attend to. Breakfast was your standard Hampton fare and was fine although I wonder what has happened to biscuits and gravy as an option. Each day the Hampton had a USA Today and Local newspaper available which was nice. Locally there is a restaurant you can walk to just across the street and there are other restaurants and a pizza place just down the road. The pool at the Hampton was very well maintained and the pool service was excellent. Did not use the fitness room but it looked nice and was larger than most Hampton's and had plenty of equipment. Sombrero Beach is about a 10 minute drive and the beach area and water were very nice.

A great spot for a stay. Pros: the free breakfast was the real deal, full breakfast bar with lots of options for food including eggs, potatoes, and bacon. Clean comfortable room and bed, hot shower with good water pressure, I enjoyed the full counter around the sink and kitchen counter area being separate with a sink, cabinets, microwave and fridge. (this seems to be harder and harder to find) But the best part was drinking my tea on my 2nd floor balcony each morning. My room was close to the pool.

Another Pro is location. This spot is a great area. Right across the street from Island Fish Company where we are a few times and enjoyed the view/ food (dog friendly). Also across from a boat ramp where you can lounge. Lots of food close by. Pool bar and fitness center were awesome.

Cons: No restaurant on property. Island Fish Company however is a great choice, although we drove over didn't want to be running across the road in the dark. I was here for work but took advantage of being close to Key West and drove down to do a few fun things. Also, stopped at Sombrero Beach for a couple of hours (and received a $90.00 ticket) CRAZY, watch that pay for parking spot - I never noticed they've added the meters since previous visits. Another con - you can not see the water from any of the rooms, (you can have a pool view however).

Overall I would stay again. This is a place with kind, helpful people working there who will do what they can to make your stay comfortable.

I have a travel blog where I share itinerary and budgeting ideas to make your trip more fun (and save some $$). I've visited the Keys many times with my family and will be back again! My link is in my bio.

On arrival, we were shown to a ground floor room even though we had booked and paid for a second floor room with balcony. The first room we were given had broken AC. We asked to move and we’re moved to another ground floor room. This room has a broken plug socket that had a constant buzzing sound, causing us to have to move a third time. Finally, this time, we were given a room on the second floor with a balcony (which we had originally paid for without realising!)

This room was adequate. The AC was still old and noisy and the room smelt damp, but every room in the hotel seemed old and run down. The hotel has been renovated but everything was updated except for the rooms which guests spend most time in?!

Our key card was then deactivated on day two locking us out of our room. The lady on reception seemed incapable of just reactivating it and blamed a “broken door”… we had to wait 30 minutes by the pool to receive a new key card.

The pool bar used to be excellent (having stayed at the hotel 10 years ago) but is now severely overpriced and selling cheap, weak, tasteless drinks. $12 for a slushie claiming to be a daiquiri?!

The sunbeds are old, dirty and stained.
The breakfast was disgusting. For the price we paid, we expected better but it was all plastic looking food and over salted or sugared.

The quality of this hotel has gone down a lot and it’s a real shame, because the prices have gone up!

The service we received was disappointing and we feel extremely cheated out of our money. Won’t be staying again and wouldn’t recommend.

This hotel is located right on US 1 and across the street from the Gulf. It’s a small 2 story property, outdoor pool with a tiki bar and a little dock area with a few seats overlooking a channel. The lobby is very large and inviting decorated in a beach theme. The rooms are cozy, nothing fancy. The air conditioning unit in the room was very loud. The room doors are very heavy so they slam loud. The parking lot and grounds are well lit. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. Unfortunately the hallways smelled like smoke and alcohol. The outside grounds do need some care. Many trash cans were overflowing. The fitness center is outside next to the pool so no staff member can keep an eye on it. Little kids were fooling around in there playing with water cups. Can’t say we would stay again.

This hotel is abysmal. Ignore the fancy photos post renno. The fact is the room is in shambles. The hotel is in shambles!! Check-in was impersonal with staff barely acknowledging me. They had the audacity to charge me an incidental hold that they never communicated. And If they charge it, why aren’t they using the $ to fix the dents/chipped paint on the walls, chipped soap dish, treat rust in the shower, fix the AC and deal with brown stains on walls (yeah look at my pics). This was a bummer considering this hotel was renovated 2 years ago. What’s also upsetting is there was ZERO investment in soundproofing. Got screaming kids/bladder/lover??? Everyone is going to hear it. The two stars is for the convenience and variety at breakfast. Essentially there were enough options that it got my kids a snack and essentially me a trip to Walgreens for cereal bars.

Thank you for taking the time to complete a review regarding your stay with us. Your feedback is very important to us. I wanted to assure you that the incidental hold on your card was only an authorization and that it will drop off once you leave the hotel. This incidental hold is actually for your convenience in being able to charge anything from the front desk market or the pool tiki bar to your room, instead of having to carry your card with you everywhere at the hotel. All Hilton hotels ask for an incidental hold, my sincerest apologies that our front desk staff failed to inform you correctly. With your feedback, we will do better. Internal communication is the key to providing great service. Thank you for letting us know where we can improve. As always, we appreciate having you as our guest and hope you would be willing to give us another opportunity to make it right.

I stayed at the hotel in September. Wonderful hotel. They did state that they have adjoining rooms. But it wouldn’t be possible to guarantee them while booking since they can be changed by the Hampton Inn Members Representatives. When I arrived no adjoining rooms were available. No rooms even remotely close by were available. A bit of a downside but still a great hotel. Would recommend.
