We rented an ocean front studio condo steps from the beach through Airbnb (#30). Kimm was a perfect host and her place was impeccably clean and appointed with everything guests need for a beach stay (including fully stocked kitchen and beach towels). Plenty of places to sit and lounge inside and out, the bed was awesome, and the place has recently been remodeled. The vibe was very chill and guests enjoyed sunrises, sunsets, swimming, reading, grilling out, and gathering on the beach, which had plenty of lounge chairs and two large tiki huts with tables for shade and meals. There was a pool but we didn’t use it because we prefer the ocean, which was about 10 steps from our room. We snorkeled 3 out of our 4 day trip and saw unbelievably beautiful corral and fish at Sombrero Reef and Looe Key. We also kayaked the mangroves at Sombrero Beach and did an easy day trip to Key West. The Continental Inn is perfectly situated to do all of these things, and it’s a bonus to be next door to Sunset Park. We’ll be back!

We stayed in Unit 27 Continental Inn Beachside and it was the best equipped condo we have ever experienced, right down to the chip clips! Owners have anticipated what you might need and enjoy during your stay, with lots of personal touches and all of the comforts. We wanted to experience the Keys from A to Z so the centralized location was perfect for our excursions. On the days when we stayed put, their beach was super convenient, beautiful, and had just the right vibe.

My family enjoys traveling to Key Colony Beach and we always try to stay at the Continental Inn in unit #9 if it is available. Our favorite reasons to stay in this unit are because it is just steps from the private beach and you can see the ocean and watch the beautiful morning sunrise from the windows of the unit! Our most recent stay was in March of 2020 and it was fabulous, as always. The unit has been remodeled beautifully. The bathroom and kitchen are both very modern and beautiful. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you would need for a short or long stay. Additionally, for families, Key Colony Beach and Marathon have so many unique activities, including: Dolphin Research Center, Turtle Hospital, and the Florida Keys Aquarium Encounters. I highly recommend the Continental Inn and Unit #9 for your trip to paradise - you won't be disappointed!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at continental inn beachside. The grounds were beautiful and the private beach was spectacular- extremely convenient that it was only a short walk from the room and I loved that the tiki hut offered some protection from the sun. The room however, made the trip. It is evident that the owners put a lot of effort and thought into their unit- it was beautifully renovated and the decor was lovely. It was extremely spacious and the beds were very comfortable- we enjoyed having movie nights every night with the big flat screen tv equipped with Netflix. I can’t wait to come back and stay in room #22 again!

My wife and I were in unit #29 for a long weekend. We needed a little get away before my mother-in-law comes to spend the winter with us. The room was spotless and had absolutely everything you would need, including beach towels. The kitchen was a kitchen! It included coffee maker, blender, toaster. The unit was nicely decorated. The bed was great, very comfortable.
Unit #29 is only a few steps from the clean sandy beach, which included lounges, umbrellas, tiki hut, barbeque grill. It was so nice to wake up to the sunrise every morning. The weather was perfect, the water was flat calm.
It is very close to restaurants, groceries, Aquarium Encounters. You are also very close to Dolphin Research Center, and the Turtle Hospital.
It was very quiet and relaxing, just what we needed. We were glad to find this hidden gem of the Florida Keys.

My BFF and I spent an extended weekend here and it was everything we could ask for. Clean, comfortable, cute, and it had a beach! Now let's not get too excited. The Florida Keys are NOT known for their beaches. This one was pretty small but it was an actual beach. We watched dolphins and eagle rays jumping every day! The room had a full kitchen and bath, as well as a dining and small sitting area. There was a pool and two Weber gas grills for the guests to enjoy. My only gripe was the pillows, but, full disclosure, I'm NEVER happy about the pillow situation so don't hold that against them.
The area was friendly and clean. On our first night we walked over to Sunset Beach and watched the sunset. A local man who had come down to the beach with his bicycle outfitted with wine cooler and large speaker handed us a piece of paper with directions on how to get to the lyrics for the "song we sing after the sun sets." We looked it up and sang along. So fun!

I researched accommodation in the Keys for many weeks whilst putting our Florida road trip together. I struck gold with #41 Continental Inn at Key Colony - it was perfect and exactly what I was hoping for. We had a beautiful, clean 2 bedroom apartment with 2 large beds in each bedroom; the right size when travelling with teenagers! The bathroom was spotlessly clean and beach towels were also provided. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed and a lovely seating area. The area was quiet at night with no passing traffic or road noise. The beach area was gorgeous; we loved sitting at the beach in the early morning with a cup of coffee, watching boats leaving and pelicans diving. The sea was calm and clean and where everyone gathered for a friendly chat. Sunset Park is just a 2 minute walk away and a beautiful spot to watch the sunset and meet other residents. I was delighted to have found the Continental Inn, which was the perfect base to explore the Florida Keys.

We highly recommend #22 for your stay. It was perfect whether you’re a couple traveling alone or as a family. This studio style condo is beautiful, modern and clean. On the 1st floor steps away from the pool and a private beach with access to kayaks, a grill and lounge chairs. We watched amazing sunrises every morning. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook at home, but was also close to a variety of restaurants. So if you’re planning a trip to Marathon, #22 will be the “key” to an unforgettable vacation!

Someone referred to Continental Beachside as Paradise, how right they were!!! The property is just beautiful and it's so nice to walk right out onto the beach and look at the magnificent Atlantic!! The condo we stayed in, #9 was so comfortable and nicely decorated - you really feel like you're in the keys! The kitchen was well stocked and made it so easy for us to make some meals in and eat under the tiki on the beach! They also have grills that are cleaned daily, what a plus! One of our best vacations ever - thank you Continental Beachside!!!

Unit #9 is a comfortable, serenely decorated condo which we thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend to anyone interested in going to Key Colony Beach. We arrived stressed and left a week later refreshed and tan. We walked the beach, chatted on the beach with friends, enjoyed local music, and visited our turtle friends at The Turtle Hospital and sponsored a turtle for another year of care. We also explored local restaurants and shops - bellies and bags left full and happy. The staff who took care of our VRBO unit was attentive and very pleasant. We made reservations with the staff to return again, and our adult children will join us as well, as they enjoy having their own Continental Inn Beachside condo's to relax and unwind. A wonderful piece of paradise. Don't miss it!

Hello, they do have quiet time after 7:00 pm so please do not let the infant cry too loudly after that time of the management will get very angry. Also no, they have no cribs. I was told they are “not a nursery” and to bring our own.
Hello! As you can see on their website no dogs allowed. Not even service animals. So if you need service for your disability please go elsewhere as they do not want to see you with a dog and they will trespass you.
Hi! There isn’t a washer dryer per unit, however there are 2 washers and 2 dryers on property. The machines only take quarters, I think it’s $1.50 to wash and dry. They sell small boxes of Tide and Bounce dryer sheets at the front desk😊

I visited on 30th April, that was post Irma too, Continental Inn & nearby places are in proper shape, restaurants,snorkeling trips etc all working well. Only one thing that was effected at my time was that one part of Sombrero beach was totally closed. Thats it.
There are more places to choose from in the Key Colony Beach area.
