We had inquired with friends about Hutchinson Shores Resort. We visited and found the location to be a terrific property! Great staff with nicely appointed rooms. We had breakfast as well as dinner and were pleased with both sessions. Looking forward to a return visit.

We just returned from 5 days at Hutchinson Shores Resort and had a wonderful time. The resort is so beautiful and clean. The staff are amazing from the front desk, restaurant servers, valet, housekeeping, and beach attendants. They all go out of their way to make your stay perfection. Daniel (beach), Chase (restaurant) and William (valet) were especially great!
Our ocean front room was stunning and I've never seen such beautiful sunrises! Both pools were nice and not overcrowded and had plenty of seating.
My only suggestion would be to add more cabanas as there are only five or six of them (at $150 a day rental fee!!) and they go quickly. Also, for what you're paying to stay there the beach umbrella and lounge chairs should not be an upcharge. Two lounge chairs are included in the resort fee but as a family of three I had to rent a cabana, umbrella and chair daily which adds up.

When I first arrived, the valet opened the door to my car and I got out, then he asked me to move the car forward… after I had already gotten out of the car when he opened the door. Why not ask me instead of opening the door and waiting until I got out of the car?
The hotel looks nice, and common areas are, but the two rooms I ended up staying in were not worthy of the price. The location is great, but one of the most significant parts of your stay isn’t the common areas, it’s the room. We had oceanfront rooms, which are easily part of their top tier rooms. The first room I was in was just dirty, which I didn’t notice until around 10 PM since I was mostly in the common areas such as the pools. The area around the toilet was not clean, toilet had water stains which don’t just happen, it’s from continued lack of cleaning, and the handle on the toilet was broken. There were tons of marks on the walls and dust. This was something I was going to bring up the next morning so housekeeping could clean the room better… but that was before a bug jumped out of the blue curtains on the closet area onto me. That was the end. I called the front desk and was told it was probably a palmetto bug. Nobody cares. I’ve lived in South Florida for years without one in my house. The front desk was apologetic. They moved us to another room, which had stuff wrong with it as well. A massive crack in the ceiling with paint flakes falling into bed. Dust on the vanity, it just wasn’t clean. There’s nothing luxurious about dirty rooms, even if they’re oceanfront.
Drifts was mediocre at best. They also don’t have enough people working the poolside bar. We tried to order drinks and the male bartender ignored us on multiple occasions. The only way we could get anything was to wait for the lady that was walking around taking orders poolside.
The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. It’s not their fault the hotel isn’t properly maintained and cleaned.

This has been one of my greatest finds. We travel often and I have written nearly 2800 reviews. This hotel has a cozy, boutique feel with attention to detail and service. The valet meets you immediately and you feel at home. The property is beautiful with a beachfront pool and sunset pool and the staff is very accommodating. Upon check-in you receive a band bracelet to enter the private beach. They have great food and offer beach food and beverage service with full time beach attendants at your service with towel, chair and umbrella service. The beach is breathtaking and they offer complementary beach chairs with umbrellas at an additional small charge. The resort fee offers complementary water, ( both in the room and a "stocked kitchen area" on each floor) bagged ice and warm cookies with fresh fruit. We found them to very affordable with attention to detail and service. We met the manager; Ed who was very friendly and welcoming. This is a must visit. Get a ocean front room, it is worth it, you are directly on the beach.

Three day staycation at Hutchinson Shores Resort and Spa. The resort is located in a great beachfront location on Hutchinson Island. Close to a major causeways on to Jensen's Beach and the city of Stewart, Florida. The staff, from the valet parking, the front desk, housekeeping, restaurant and beach were friendly and accommodating. We had a fourth floor oceanfront room (427) that had a nautical décor to the extent that the bathroom door had a porthole in it. Room was large with a king size bed and the bathroom was spacious with a walk in shower. Our stay included breakfast and there were plenty of good choices. We did not eat any other meals in the hotel as we wanted to try some of the other recommended oceanfront/outdoor dining places. A nice perk that came with the daily resort fee was that each floor had a canteen that was stocked with water, bags of ice, a variety of fruit in the morning, and chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon. The resort fee also included two beach chairs, but a charge for the umbrella. In my opinion the umbrella should have been included. It is Florida after all and you could not use your own. All in all a very nice hotel and would recommend it without hesitation. Since we only live an hour away from Hutchinson Island it was a perfect place for our getaway.

Still upset over my spa visit. There are many great options for massages in the area, and we picked Hutchison Shores for my mothers birthday weekend. We were happy to get an appointment for the 4 of us, at the same time. At the start of my massage, the masseuse asked me if I like oil scents. I told him yes, and he gave me a few options. I picked lavender and we began the treatment. After, my group met in changing room, my mother pointed out that she denied the $25 essential oil scent and was happy with the scent that came complimentary with massage. My sister and I asked “what $25 scent?” Apparently, 2 out of 4 of the masseuses did not state a price or inform us of any up-charge, leaving me with a $50 additional bill. The upgraded essentially oil scent was literally an inhale in beginning of massage (to relax), and a spritz in air after massage. I had a 60 min traditional massage, and paid $180 ($155 massage and $25 up-charge for scent). One hundred and eighty dollars for sixty minutes……WTF? No sauna, no steam room, no frills. Just disappointed. I said something to nice woman at front desk, but she did not remove $50 charge. I unfortunately, will not get back, and highly suggest you don’t let them add additional services without notifying you first.

My wife and I take our children to a different Florida beach each summer. This year we tried out Jensen Beach, and stayed at the Hutchinson Shores. The hotel was spotless. Rooms were clean, and didn't have the overwhelming musty smell you sometimes get at beach resorts, no matter how nice. Everything was modern and tasteful. Amenities included valet parking and free water bottles everywhere you look, and a light breakfast and evening snack. The breakfast snacks weren't anything special. I wasn't blown away by the quality of the fruit or muffins provided. The evening cookies were only OK, but when you consider how many are served, I can let it slide. Water bottles were fantastic. We went through them like crazy on the beach, or walking around town.
The hotel has a large pool and a small pool, both well maintained. The beach was fine...this is Atlantic Coast, so no powder sand, and some shells and rocks, but not terrible. Chairs are provided, but you are charged $25 for an umbrella. Beyond that the hotel doesn't have tons of activities and events as I've seen other, similar hotels offer. That was OK with us, because we just wanted to hit the beach and/or the pool.
The staff was excellent. Friendly, and helpful. Joseph on the front desk was a particular standout. The quality of the other guests was a mixed bag. We were worried the first day when a drunken woman began twerking at a group of pre-teens by the pool. We picked up and moved to a different pool. After the weekend ended the place thinned out and we didn't have any other issues. The price per night was very reasonable, and when that's the case you get a mixed cast of guests. If you want a 4 Seasons crowd you have to pay a 4 Seasons price. Overall I'd rate the hotel highly, and would stay there again.

First I would like to say we have stayed at the hotel multiple times in the past and it’s been amazing. This trip, has been a huge disappointment for 600+ a night during a holiday week. They seem to be greatly understaffed by their own choosing as every time I asked management about wait times etc I was told they are not at full occupancy. The main pool bar/runners etc we’re closed multiple days which for us is a highlight of the hotel and convenience with children. Multiple times we couldn’t even get a towel. The TV in the room broke, they did fix it but things kept piling up. Generally speaking the hotel feels not as well kept and just disorganized for a high end facility. The staff who was organizing minus some of the management was great as a positive including Mike and Cassidy. I don’t think will be back. Will try try Lucie next trip. Ammenties are lacking.

Hello 201coryh, My humble apologies for the disappointment suffered during your stay. Please rest assured that understaffing on purpose and by our own choice is a preposterous notion. We strive to hire and retain the best service minded people that we can get. Thank you for your recognition of Mike and Cassidy, and I will share your kudos with them both.

Pretty hotel. Complimentary coffee ends at 8am. Ordered breakfast of pancakes and sausage with a side of fruit it cost $60. On the little piece of beach that is there my granddaughter who’s on the spectrum got rolled over by a wave and as I was struggling to get her the two people who worked for the hotel watched and then pointed out that our stuff ( clothes and valuables) was being washed away. They stood and watched 👀 We were the only people there.

Hello Far Away, My apologies for your disappointment. I am however perplexed regarding your breakfast cost. Menu prices are as follows: French toast is $14, side of Sausage is $7, side of fruit is $7. Even with the tax, this breakfast is under $30. Please help me understand and feel free to reach out to me directly so I can provide some clarity.

You can walk either through or around the large pool area to get to the beach. It's easy to get there no matter where your room is. Higher floors are always better :-)
Recommend Kyle’s G Restraunt not far from resort. If you have a car, drive over bridges to either Jensen Beach or Stuart. Great local hidden gems in both towns.
Hope this helps?
