Stopped for 1 night in this delightful b&b. The room was large with windows on both side one with a view of the extensive gardens. The bed was very comfortable and was a Tudor style four poster. The breakfast was delicious with eggs from the owners hens. Lots of curiosity to see through out the house. Would highly recommended this above average historic b&b
From the moment we arrived Debbie was the ultimate host. We were shown to our room which could not fail to impress. A huge four poster bed and a mattress you had to climb onto. The room was very clean with easy chairs, wardrobe and bedside tables. Dressing gowns provided as was tea and coffee in the room. The view from the window was outstanding as it looked directly over the well tended garden and lawns. Breakfast could not be faulted and plenty to eat. We would reccomend Boltho House to anyone looking for that little bit of luxury.
We decided to go away for 1 night at the last minute over the Bank holiday, preferring somewhere quiet and away from the coast. This was the ideal place! Set in the grounds of Goltho Gardens we had a twin room with en suite which was perfect. It was clean, well equipped and had the usual tea and coffee making facilities and delicious homemade biscuits. We were able to explore the gardens after they had shut and sat outside overlooking the waterlily ponds. The owner, Debbie, was delightful and very helpful. The cooked breakfast was lovely, served in a dining room overlooking the gardens. The eggs are from their own hens, homegrown tomatoes and local bacon. Delicious! We had been for a lovely walk in the local area and this was a perfect stopover. There was nobody else booked in so we found the quiet we wanted. We had a super meal at the local pub The Ivy in Wragby, a 5 minute drive away. It may be worth booking a table in advance as it was very busy. Food was excellent. All in all as a last minute decision it was definitely the right one. Thank you Debbie.…
we stayed here as a stop over for the Woodhall spa 40s weekend, the guest house was superb with fantastic gardens and the hostess was friendly and made our stay that much nicer. My wife left behind a few clothes which upset her but Debbie the hostess posted them free of charge to us which was a fantastic gesture. Would recommend this guest house to anyone staying in the Lincoln area. 12/10 ;)
