Location of the hotel is excellent with stunning views over the beach. The large room had double aspect floor to ceiling windows which flooded the room with light. The bed was very comfortable which gave a great night's sleep. We only ate breakfast in the hotel. It was in the Naked Crab and all staff were very friendly and helpful- especially John (I hope I have remembered his name correctly). I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel.

The resort is right on the beach and provides chaises on the beach at no fee. There are multiple restaurants at the property. We had lunch at the Salty Siren at the pool which has delicious smash burgers. It is pricey so we only ate there once during our stay. The pool has music all day and on the weekends there's a DJ in the afternoon. There is limited seating at the pool, but lots of room on the beach. The Wreck Bar has mermaids swimming behind windows in the pool that abuts the bar. That was fun to watch and our dinner was delicious. The rooms are nice, very clean, and the bed is comfortable. We had a beach view room with a balcony which I highly recommend. Everyone was friendly and our room was cleaned very well every day and we didn't have to ask for new towels, which some hotels are doing these days. It is a short walk to a few other bars and shopping areas. It is very expensive to park at the hotel so since the airport is so close, we opted to take an Uber from the airport and a few times used Uber to go other places. It saved us hundreds of dollars. I would recommend this hotel.

Our family stayed at this resort in Feb 2025 for 1 week -- and overall it was a bit disappointing, it did not feel like a 4 star hotel at all, more like a travel lodge.
The room layout, the restaurants and the general atmosphere was one of high turnover/short stay guests -- often very long lines in the lobby for check in for cruise layovers etc. The room was like a travel lodge, not luxurious at all, and totally not designed for a family of 3 to spend a week there. Not a single hook, only 8 hangers and a tiny wardrobe, 2 small draws, so we ended up living out of our suitcases which had to go on the floor and we stepped over every day....nowhere to dry towels, swimwear etc all very ill thought out.....awful pillows, a heating system that only blew out cold air, a broken heater to plug in if you were cold, thin duvets....and so on...really not 4 star at all....That said, I consider us lucky as I overheard another guest requesting to move rooms because of the black mold in her room !
The food in the on site restaurant for breakfast was again a bad travel lodge breakfast of 'heat lamp sat' scrambled eggs, bacon etc and we were very grateful we did not have breakfast included because at ÂŁ24 per person per day we would have been fuming ! But the pizza we had in the bar tasted okay, but at ÂŁ40 for a 12 inch pizza it was eye wateringly expensive ! The little coffee stall was really useful, and served nice coffee/teas and muffins, and you could eat in the lobby - but no great view of the sea etc.
The pools were smaller than expected for the size of the hotel and number of guests, the beach side pool was dirty - you could not see beyond your hand the water was so cloudy...the courtyard pool was better, cleaner and more protected from the wind, but with peeling paint. The beach towels provided were clean, but had seen better days as had most of the sun loungers.
The location was great for the beach, and a short walk to the marina bars and restaurants and the mini mart, a 40 minute walk to the Las Olas area which had great restaurants and shops.
Other reviews spoke about the great staff, but we found the staff to be largely mediocre, the receptionists were obviously over-worked and not at all helpful, the concierge was reasonably helpful when we needed to find a pharmacy...the coffee team again were over-worked but doing their best and pleasant.
If its an overnight stop that's needed in Fort Lauderdale and you are able to get one of the refurbished rooms for a great price, its okay, but I would not recommend for any duration. Shame.

We stayed here for 2 nights prior to our cruise because it was affiliated with our cruise line. The beach and the 2 pools looked amazing from the pictures. Our check in was quite easy and they let us store our bags while the room was being prepared. There are 2 pools on the property and we only used the one inside the resort as the one by the beach/bar was very crowded every time we went by. When we went to the beach the first time we may have misunderstood but my husband and I both thought they said it was $25 each to rent a beach chair, so we opted to sit on our towels, but on our second visit (different staff member) they said there wasn’t a fee, again this could have been confusion because there’s quite a few different fees at this resort. The pool within the resort was quite warm and never overly busy. The food at the resort is quite pricey but you can walk up the road or take advantage of Uber eats/door dash. We had quite a few issues with our door during our stay which the staff addressed pretty quickly. When we first checked in the door knob frame was hanging off and they had to retighten it, which didn’t take long. The second day the battery died in the lock but it was addressed quickly. The only issue was that we were on the 6th floor and the wait time for the elevators was long. I think that there was an event going on because multiple times we were on the elevators with staff taking stuff to the conference room. The room wasn’t bad but we were woken up quite a bit throughout the night due to cars revving on the main road (out of the hotels control), and other guests making noise until about 2am. My husband also thought that the carpet by the elevators also had a terrible smell. Overall it was an average stay.

I would give this hotel one star instead of two except that it has a nice beach area with chairs and umbrellas. As far as the room, I felt like I was at a Motel 6 (or worse) paying 4-star prices. The room was large with 2 double beds (most hotels have queen beds these days) and on the website pictures of my room category, show an area with a sofa, chair and floor lamp. In my room the space was empty except for a small chairl (with no arm rests) plopped in the space as an after thought. There is no desk, just a wall counter below the tv. The bathroom was one of the smallest I have ever encountered. There was a small sink with no vanity area to place belongings....nothing. I had to put my stuff on the toilet while I shaved, brused my teeth, etc. The towels were thin and one had two holes in it (below even Motel 6 standards). The shower had mold in the grout and beware of the steep step down (or step up if you are getting in) which is truly a safety hazard. Because there is no space in the bathroom, you have to go to the clothes closet to get the hair dryer if you want to use it. You could only watch tv in bed unless you used the pathetic chair previously mentioned. Maid service was nonexistent. A card said sheets would only be changed every 3 days (I was there for 2 nights) which is fine but it also said to leave towels that you want replaced on the floor which is where I put the towel with 2 holes. Upon returning to the room after being out for the day, it had not been touched. I saw no signs of housekeeping anywhere except a couple of small carts which didn't have towels or toiletries on them so I'm not even sure what they were for. They certainly didn't have cleaning supplies to get rid of the mold. Prices are ridiculous at this hotel. The only parking option is valet and it's $55 per night. There is also a "resort fee" of $39 per night with the only thing decent being beach chairs (not sure if there is another charge for an umbrella) I laughed at the resort fee description on the website scraping together "features" such as free bottles of water and "free domestic local and long-distance phone calls". Who even uses the hotel phone in this day of mobile phones? There are two pools. The main, large pool had music blasting so loud that it was intolerable. I'm not sure if this is an everyday occurrence or just on the weekend. I would never stay at this place again despite the location. This is a case where you are NOT getting what you pay for, which is a lot.

The resort was clean & nice however i booked & paid for an ocean view balcony room but it wasn't disclosed that the view was obstructed due to a concert on the beach & instead of hearing the ocean we heard construction & the AC was broken. The guy at the desk promised to move us up the next day but he wasn't there & lied about putting a note to have us moved & the guy there said it was promised to others as well by the previous guy n they have few balcony oceanfront rooms. Be prepared to bring a bag full of money because everything is ala carte like beers are 8.00 for a small can, 16.00 for a waffle, 8.00 for 2 pieces of toast & delivery fee if u order room service, and they add service fees & gratuity is 18% on everything even if u order 1 beer at a time and the food isn't every good for all that money. The shower water was a yellow color .. just pay close attention! Also they have a private beach but still have to pay for umbrellas 25.00 and if u burn quick n need a cabana its 218.00 and its only from 9-6 and they will chase you off it

We understand your disappointment with the view. This is one thing we regret from this City-wide event, things we can’t control that affect our guest experience. We apologize for any broken promise by the front desk agent, as guest satisfaction is or utmost priority. While not a typical occurrence for our guest, your comments are important to us, and we will use them as we continually work to improve our services. We hope you will give us another opportunity to show you this was just a one-off experience and in no way reflective of our typical guest experience.

Our room was supposed to be ocean front. When we walked off the elevator, we found the hallways to be dirty and full of garbage. The room was ajar, which immediately gave me a creepy feeling. When we opened the door, we found a room that looked like it was in major need of cleaning and renovating. The closet had a huge gouge through it. The furniture was all scratched and old and when I pulled back the sheets… there was a stain!!! The carpets were also in need of vacuuming. It was awful. Management told us they were oversold on ocean front so we had to stay across the street at an ocean view room with no balcony and listen to traffic It was a terrible experience I would never stay at this hotel ever again. They don’t even offer a common area for you to bring food back to relax inside, their food is gross but they make you buy theirs if you sit near the bar area. They are less than accommodating when the weather is bad

We arrived late in the evening after 10 hour flight and was allocated our room. We had to take two elevators and some walk to it to get to it and couldn’t find our room number, went back to reception and he had put the wrong number down on the card ( there wasn’t even a room with the original number on ) We finally got in it was lovely and clean when we arrived We didn’t have our room cleaned the first day as it was 3.30 pm when they came to clean it and we were having a lie down after being tired from being out at the beach so they left us with some coffee Service charges are added to all drinks food and as this has been added the service was terrible especially by the pool already had their tips so couldn’t be bothered with service Next day room again wasn’t cleaned so before I went out at 4 asked to be turned over which when we got back at night it had been done but half heartedly - no coffee, rubbish on floor , bathroom bin left in room , sand in shower The next day at 6pm I had to ask again why our room hasn’t been attended too they couldn’t answer but it was done when we got back late Checkout day we wanted to sit by the pool for a while until our taxi arrived and we wasn’t allowed to sit at table as we wasn’t eating terrible attitude off the server We come to fort Lauderdale twice a year and we won’t come back here

If I remember correctly, the hotel's private beach does not have a lifeguard, but the public beach just north of there does. The Ft Lauderdale government website contains information about the location of lifeguard stands. (Sorry, TripAdvisor prohibits my posting that link here.)
