If you’re in FLL and want a classy stay, look no further. My boyfriend and I came here on a trip in April 2024, and we were absolutely blown away. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful (shoutout to Sean—you really run the place, thank you so much for the amazing service and restaurant recommendations!!). The amenities are great too—the pool is nice and clean with lots of outdoor seating. The pool bar had reasonably priced drinks and you can order food from the downstairs restaurant. The main restaurant on the premises (the Riveria) is great—we had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here at various points during our stay and loved it. Almost every night, we sat at the bar and enjoyed a few drinks while watching hockey or baseball; the bartended gave us free fries and a free round of drinks one night. This place really gets 5 stars on service!! The rooms are spacious and very clean. We stayed in a marina facing room with one king bed. Housekeeping was prompt around 10 AM every day, and was accommodating when we asked for extra towels/blankets. Never once did I feel like it was not clean! The location is prime—so many restaurants within walking distance, and Ubers are quick to come to the hotel entrance and priced well. There is a Starbucks attached to the hotel that had wonderful service as well! Finally, the big selling point for me was the 2 free beach chairs included with your stay for each day. The beach felt nice and private and was clean and well maintained! The attendant was very friendly and always offered extra towels and water. An umbrella costs $30/day, but you can rent the chairs and umbrella from 9-5 each day—worth it in my opinion! Thank you again Hotel Maren for such a lovely stay. Should we be back to FLL soon, there is NO WHERE else we would rather stay!!!!

During my recent business trip to Fort Lauderdale, I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Maren Fort Lauderdale Beach, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. This hotel exceeded my expectations in every aspect, making it an ideal choice for business travelers.

Bring a bathing suit, some sunscreen, and shoes you can walk comfortably in and you will have all the makings of an excellent vacation. Uber ride is 10-15 minutes from the airport, be sure to let the front desk know when you will be arriving as they were very accommodating to an early check in. Be sure to tell Uber the valet address so you don’t have to carry your luggage up any stairs. The rooms with an ocean view/balcony were worth the extra money for the seclusion and extra space. The in-house restaurant was delicious with indoor/outdoor dining and an ocean view, and there is a Starbucks on the premises that makes ordering from the app super easy. You’ll get pool towels and beach towels from the hotel, plus two bottles of water each day. The beach is a few short steps across the road and it’s an extra $25 a day for an umbrella. Get the umbrella!! (And be aware they only take cash or card at the beach stand-can’t charge this one to your room). After exploring the Fort Lauderdale area, I can safely say that Hotel Maren is in a perfect location. Away from some of the hustle and bustle of city life, but close enough to still be accessible to food and shopping. The staff is friendly, the hotel is clean, the beach and pool are perfectly relaxing. Easiest vacation we’ve had in awhile!
Places we enjoyed eating: Coconuts (right across from the valet side of the hotel) Bo’s Beach for lunch (Right next door) Lona Cochina Tequilaria (.8 miles away, but worth the walk for fish tacos alone) Tokato (1 mile down the strip, but this was our favorite meal of the whole trip. Take it at a slow walk and you’ll be there before you know it)

Celebrated my birthday this past weekend at The Maren. I enjoyed every minute of it. Sean was very helpful and informative. Mike at the beach was very helpful assisting us with the beach chairs with the umbrella ( umbrellas are rental). Room service was very punctual to our needs. I enjoyed my yoga experience with Lola and Sasha. Last but not least, DJ was very nice and helpful with my check out this morning. I plan to stay at The Maren again. Oh my hotel room was the Sunset Marina View. The balcony was beautiful day and night.

This hotel is modern and well located. It is attractive. Check in and check out is efficient and friendly. Views are spectacular and the room is very comfortable spacious and well appointed. Sean is the porter and concierge. What a star. Sean deserves a raise. He works hard , has a great sense of humour and a superb attitude. The hotel is lucky to have him. The beach attendant was fine but he would benefit from a bit of training on how to answer questions from guests about the beach , water temperature and swimming conditions. Towels , and loungers were in hand umbrellas cost extra $30 which seems unnecessary and grudging. All in all a great experience.

We are locals, and we're having some work done to our house, which we had to be out of for a few days. We decided to see Ft. Lauderdale like a visitor. We chose the Maren for its location. The Maren is steps away from the sand on Ft. Lauderdale Beach. From our arrival, we were greeted with an awesome experience. Starting at valet Santiago was amazing. We were a little early for check-in he unloaded our luggage and pet crate (they are pet friendly) and held it until our room was ready. At check-in, the front desk staff had all the paperwork ready to go. Santiago had taken our luggage and put it in our room before we got upstairs. The rooms are very comfortable with a modern flair. We had a beautiful view of the beach from our balcony. Everyone we encountered was just as helpful as the last. We had the opportunity to meet Ryan the GM. It was nice chatting with him. Even though we are locals, we will definitely recommend The Maren to anyone wanting an amazing experience on Ft. Lauderdale Beach.

This has been the best Hotel stay I’ve experienced! Coming from the southern states, the hospitality has been phenomenal. As soon as you pull into Valet everyone is so welcoming and helpful. Every time you get out of an Uber, they are quick to come open your doors. Not just when you arrive to the hotel.
I wish I would have caught the names of everyone that helped us this week and made this week so memorable and easy..but for the person who stands out the most,
Sean knocked it out of the park!! The stay would not have been as great without his amazing, positive attitude and help with knowing which restaurants/ activities to go to while we were in town. The rooms were clean, room service is quick and they will make your bed whenever needed. They provided us with water bottles in the room almost everyday and fresh towels when we needed. The view was great. The noise cancellation in the room is top notch. I didnt hear any noises from the hallway/ other rooms. The pool is clean and has a great view of the ocean. I cannot remember the gals name that was working at the pool, but she was there April 15th. Her service was amazing. The pool food and drinks were good Not only is the service great inside the hotel But also on the beach…
Michael helped us with the beach rentals, was so helpful, had a great attitude and made the beach service/ rental part such a breeze! (You get two chairs per room, I believe) which is an amazing bonus.
Can’t say enough about this hotel, truly! I usually book airbnbs on trips. But we definitely would not have had as smooth and great of an experience if we had not stayed here. Thanks for the hospitality!

We had a nice stay at Hotel Maren. We arrived very early on the first day of our stay and were thrilled to receive our room so early, by 10:30am! The bellman was amazing, kind and helpful in explaining local dining options and activities. The front desk staff were efficient. When we entered our room we loved the ocean view and the wall of windows. The room definitely has more of a modern vibe, and the space was rather large. The beds were comfortable and the space was very clean. The housekeeping staff were fabulous. It almost felt as if they were waiting for us to leave our room so they could clean it, not it a negative way, more in a “very on top of it way”. We would leave our room in the morning to grab a cup of coffee and return and the room would already be cleaned! Additionally, the cleaning staff was always working very hard in the lobby keeping that area clean.
The beach access is very nice, you do have to cross a busy road, without a crosswalk directly across from the hotel, but usually the traffic is pretty heavy and the vehicles are stopped which makes crossing pretty effortless.
The reason for the 4 star review versus 5 star are due to the pool area and restaurant which are lacking a bit. The restaurant/bar was very understaffed. Most of the time there was one person bartending and serving which made for a long wait! He was hustling and doing his best, but just wasn’t realistic to keep up with the demand. The pool area is fairly small. The area is shaded most of the day, and there are not enough lounge chairs to accommodate the amount of people on a sunny day. The pool bar is sufficient, but nothing exciting at all, it just doesn’t necessarily give off a “resort feel”. The water temperature of the pool was comfortable, and they did have 3 cabanas overlooking the ocean which were a nice touch. The hotel was very quiet until our last night, which was a Friday, and you could hear loud music until 5am, which kept waking my husband and I up. I think it must have been coming from a nearby bar/club.
The area is very walkable, with lots of restaurant options. We felt very safe.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

I paid over $400 for an ocean view room. We were on the side of the resort facing a major construction site. When we checked in Friday, it was typical construction noise w/ noisy trucks backing up, hammering, etc. I was very up set and wanted to change rooms to one less noisy. Javier, at the desk, said the hotel was full and would look into changing my room the next morning. When we woke Saturday am, the construction was stopped for the weekend and we decided to stay in the room as it was too much hassle to move. Ryan, the manager was quite apologetic and even sent us a bottle of champagne which was quite nice. The hotel was beautiful with full amenities and directly across from the beach where they had chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc. I think in the future, they should warn guests that their “ocean view” rooms were 25% ocean view and 75% construction which involves quite a bit of noise. I certainly would not have spent that much for a room if I knew what the majority of my view and noise quality involved. I would certainly stay here again but be very wary of what “ocean view” meant. The staff tried to rectify but having the hotel at 93% occupancy (which Javier quoted me when I asked for a different room) made the fulfillment of the request impossible. The bed was incredibly comfy, the ac worked well, and it was nice to receive drink vouchers daily along with daily new water bottles. The bar in the lobby seemed nice but we only stopped for a glass of wine to take to our room. I can’t comment on the food but the hotel was exceptionally clean and staff was customer-oriented.

Yes, we do see that you reserved an ocean "view" room that does have a view of the ocean. We do also offer ocean "front" rooms which are directly overlooking the beach. We would have gladly changed your room type but due to the holiday weekend, all of those rooms were reserved as Javier mentioned. I am also happy to hear that Ryan took such good care of you. As you are aware he did offer to upgrade you at no charge the next day but you declined. There is always some construction going on in south Florida as it is growing rapidly and we have no control over this.
