Front desk staff is horrible! Not a smile at all, is very uncomfortable coming from the airport to see faces like that. She didn’t told me anything about the amenities. When I went to the room at 11 pm, all the sheets have hair, meaning the housekeepers did not change the sheets! Is very unhygienic, especially being in a pandemic. I came down, and of course no one was at the front desk neither answer the phone calls. I understand that front desk is close, but is very weird that nobody is at a hotel! What happen is something bad happens, how is the management going to handle any bad situations, like a fire! I have to go to Ross, thank God they were open late hours to buy new sheets! The bathtub also have hairs! I really feel really uncomfortable touching everything in that room! The floor was dirty as well. Also, no pots, no coffee maker nothing! I understand we’re in a pandemic but what do you expect from travelers to bring pots and coffee makers in our luggage? I used to worked at a extended hotel and I know how it works, with pandemic we still have plates and coffee makers ect... in the rooms. I am a coffee lover! And the website said coffee available but I didn’t see it anywhere at the hotel! I have to wake up at 5 am to go to the airport and others guests were so loud that I didn’t sleep at all! They were smoking and supposedly is a non- smoking property! And of course nobody can complain because NOBODY IS THERE TO HELP! I pay $600(a lot of money for 3 nights) that was not even worth it paying with all that I encounter here! I am not a person to complain , especially because I used to work at a hotel , but I HAVE TOO! I am very upset, I need someone to contact me and see how you manage this horrible experience! Thank you! I was in room 233! I will be expecting a call and not a sarcastic reply here like I have previous see in this website. Thank you!

We apologize that this was your experience and our hotel was not able to accommodate your needs. While the pandemic has played it's part in changes to services and amenities, on a normal basis we do not provide kitchen utensils but offer packs to be purchased at the front desk. As an extended stay style hotel, we do have set office hours but provide a lobby phone that connects guests with our on-site staff for any assistance needs. I see this a trend in the comments section on multiple search engines and wish I had done my research. They take advantage of situations and show no compassion. We had our credentials but were turned away from the property only to have lost over $250 in room fees. We pleaded for the hotels mercy and with the online booking provider but it seems this is what they do. Very callous and left us feeling taken advantage of like many other guest here. Will never book or stay here and will try my best to spread the word. Kim the manager here was likely doing her job or as directed but nevertheless was very cold. This isn't hospitality folks.

I had planned to stay a week. I always read reviews first. I wanted to leave this here so that their corporate office knows that people read reviews and base their plans on them. This hotel gets far too many 1 star reviews for me to spend any money there. Fix your people or lose business.

It saddens me that in such a time as this, there are business who do not value their customers. Such a business is Wood spring suites extended stay in Panama City. I book hotels for my company for traveling techs all over Florida and have never experience the total disrespect, rude, unprofessional behavior that I have experienced with these people. Since March I have booked several techs to this hotel and it has been nothing but a nightmare dealing with the staff to the manager. I book rooms for weeks, sometimes a month at a time. I expect to be treated with respect and to get a return call when I have an issue or concern. To start I was never offered a group deal or a point of contact for issues or bookings when I initially spoke with someone and told them that I would need several rooms. Which I thought was weird since I am sure people were not beating down their doors for rooms with the Covid 19 shut down going on. My first issue was my Amex was charged and I had not received the receipt in my email (even though they had it on file & I had requested that this be the practice). I called the front desk and had to wait a few days to receive it. Again, I let it go thinking due to the Covid19 they were short staffed. After checking my company card charges, I noticed again that I had charges but no receipts and again I had to call to request the receipts. Then my corporate office sent me over charges to reconcile and some of the charges I did not have receipts for so again I called them, left messages with front desk, on the managers phone. It took a few days before I reached anyone to assist me. I should not have to do this. When the manager finally emailed me about the charges it was to say my card would be credited and there was glitch in the system which is why my card was charged. I am not sure what kind of glitch they had but this happened more than once. I have been charged “linen fees” which I did not authorize and had to call to get removed which they do not inform you about. I only cover the room & taxes as stated on my credit card autho form. I have tried calling the manager on some of my concerns and even called a number that was given to me by my office and was told in no friendly manner she was off and there was someone at the front desk who could help me. When I tried to tell her why I was calling and to explain I had already contacted her office she hung up on me. I have NEVER been treated like that from any of the business I deal with. I called the front desk and ask for another manager and was told there is only one manager. I asked for the corporate number and was told they did not have it and I could email them. Choice hotels owns this hotel and I have made two complaints on their website only to receive a confirmation of my submission but nothing else. Needless to say, if they don’t value the business my company brings than I will not continue to use them. If they cannot be bothered to respond to a customer concern why would I continue to be treated in this manner. There are other extended stays who would beat down their doors for our business. My advice is don’t stop here, their customer service and leadership leave a great deal to be desired. There are other hotels in this area to choose from. Unless you’re desperate and there’s been an apocalypse and all the other hotels are in rubble I would pitch a tent in the woods before staying here.

Clientele here was not that great - looked like mostly young people here looking to party so I wasn't expecting a great stay but it turned out fine. Quiet and comfortable but definitely no frills Area wasn't great and the front desk seemed burnt out from the guests. It was fine - bed comfortable.

Had a horrible experience. Front desk lady was very very rude and tried to accuse me of having a fake ID. Help was never available. Had to pay for new towels each day which is absolutely ridiculous and then to get new towels it was only during a short period of hours when we were not even at the hotel so I had to go to the store to buy my own towels. The whole hotel smelled strongly like marijuana. People were extremely loud all night. Floors were disgusting and dirty. Worst hotel experience I have ever had.

We stayed for 2 days the room was never cleaned and we needed fresh towels on the second day so I went to the front desk the employee ask that I bring my dirty towels back to the desk before I could get clean ones. So went back up to my room grabbed my towels then back down to exchange them, only to find out they did not have any towels, they were all dirty!!! The employees are not very intentive to the guest. The parking lot has frequent drug activity and smells like marijuana. Did not feel safe in this facility! Will not ever stay again.

Thank you for this important feedback. About the room cleaning and towels, it sounds like you were not aware of our unique approach to lodging --- that guests pay a base rate and then add only the services and amenities that are important to them. Many guests just love creating a customized experience that is easier on the budget. We include room cleaning service every 14 days in the base rate, but more frequent service can be requested. Many guests prefer the privacy that comes with limited Housekeeping. And, our Linen Exchange Program is another additional service which many guests enjoy. I'm so sorry you were not expecting this and had a disappointing stay because of it.

The room is well laid out, and the bed is one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in. The room has a small kitchenette with full-size refrigerator, microwave, sink and two burners. However, there is not one piece of silverware, or plates, or pots or pans, or glasses, and no coffee pot (coffee's in the lobby after 7:00 AM). If you intend to cook, bring everything you would need. The room is very comfortable, clean (no carpets) with a nice-sized window. If morning light bothers you, be prepared. There are blinds, but no curtains. What we didn't like is that there's no bedside light, just a bright one in the ceiling over the bed. Thus, if one person wants to read and the other to rest, you're out of luck. Overall, we liked the room. Another thing to note: on Saturday and Sunday, the front desk staff is there only from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. If you have a problem, you have to call 500 on the phone. Staff members live at the hotel and are there to assist. There's no housekeeping, but you can change your towels daily by taking them to the front desk for an exchange, no hassles.

My wife and I stayed here for 12 days. We were victims of Hurricane Michael and needed a place to stay while our home was being worked on. This was the worst place we have ever stayed. It was described as a suite with efficiency kitchen. There was a refrigerator, 2 burner stove, sink, very small cutting board and cabinets. There were no pots, pans, drinking glasses, kitchen utensils, or coffee pot thus rendering the "efficiency kitchen" useless. We spoke to the front desk about the unit not being what was advertised and the office clerk said their interpretaion of "efficiency kitchen" was plastc wrapped cups in the bathroom and the very small cutting board. Additionally, there was no maid service the entire time we were there. The place reeked of marajuana and there was frequently a sheriff deputiy parked out front. The internet service was virtually non-existent and we were unable to do even the basics like checking email and viewing facebook. To say the least, we couldn't wait to leave this place. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Thank you for this valuable feedback. We are so very sorry that you were not expecting our unique amenities --- that guests pay only for the amenities they want to use (like daily cleaning, linen changes, cookware). We offer additional service package options. One package includes linen exchange, another provides more frequent housekeeping, cookware sets are available to purchase, etc. By allowing guests to choose and only pay for the amenities they desire, we are able to keep our rates affordable and many guests enjoy a customized experience as a result. It would be a bit shocking if you weren't expecting this and we're so sorry we disappointed you. We hope you are able to stop by and see the wonderful changes we made after our re-building and renovation efforts from the Hurricane.
