I had a fantastic stay at Kili Seasons Hotel in Tanzania. From the attentive staff to the delicious food and excellent accommodations, it truly felt like an oasis of tranquility. With only 16 rooms, the hotel provided a peaceful atmosphere, along with a great pool, gardens, bar, and lounge. Danny, the manager, was exceptional. I will definitely choose Kili Seasons Hotel again on my next trip to Tanzania.

Kili Seasons Hotel in Tanzania exceeded my expectations. its convenient location was a plus, only 30 minutes from Kilimanjaro International Airport. The small size of the hotel created a serene and intimate setting, and the staff provided exceptional service. Water is filtered all over this property, this added such a peace of mind. Totally recommended!

We had a lovely overnight stay at Kili Seasons hotel. The room was set up for us and we were greeted by the manager upon arrival. It is clear that they are trying very hard to please guests, so we found the overall stay to be very enjoyable.

We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both of which were lovely. The dinner waiter was young but did a great job. The menu was balanced and the food very well presented and tasty.

I would say that there is certainly more landscaping that can be done, but it is clearly a new hotel and the rooms/buildings have been beautifully renovated. I am sure it will hit its stride in time.

Unfortunately, our shower drain flooded the whole bathroom while we showered and we also had no hot water in the morning, but otherwise, we have no complaints.

Kili Seansons we felt almost in in The Netherlands. A large library at the reception wit a lot of Dutch books. Friendly staff. Foods is excellent and made in a semi open kitchen. Seimming pool is available. You can charge your batteries if needed.

Nice and proper place, good swimmingpool, very good beds, very friendly management,<, allowed us to stay until we had to depart for our evening flight. Perfect for a rest before and after visiting the game resorts.

I stayed more than a week in this hotel with my partner. The staff is great, but the management of the hotel is very unpleasant: refusal to grant me even a 1 hour late check out I had asked (I had booked the hotel direct though, to favour them), the manager (Dutch or from South Africa) stopped saying hello or talking to us after my partner who is black checked in, the other manager and owner I think used the hotel for her personal use and flooded the swimming pool and the sundeck around with dozens of guests for a full-day party for her kid, making loud noises, and with numerous kids flooding all day the rather small swimming pool, as if it was not bothering the hotel gests! The day after the dining room was closed all day including at lunch because 20 professionnals were attending a seminar in the hotel. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL BUT THE PRIVATE PLACE USED BY THE MANAGERS FOR THEIR PERSONNAL NEEDS AND BUSINESSES OTHER THAT HAVING HOTEL GUESTS

During February 2024 for our 10 nights Calving Season Safari, we Stayed one night each - starting before our Safari and after our safari at Kili Seasons Lodge. Very vice place, well maintained grounds as well the property, very good and helpful front desk staff as well as the restaurant staff. Large room with reasonable facilities. One only negative- the property is about 30 minutes from the main road and believe me, if you plan to stay here before you start your safari, you will have an experience of African Safari Massage!!!

The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with good choices. We were happy with our choices - just avoid the Pizzas……

This was our fourth trip to Tanzania for Safari. We are 66 and 72 years old so - if this property is on or about five minutes driving distance from the main road, we would gladly stay here. Planning to go back to Tanzania again in 2026 February…

This was an amazing experience. Danny, the manager and his staff greeted us upon our arrival. The landscaping was beautiful, the building was clean and welcoming, the restaurant and bar were exceptional. His staff were warm and accommodating. The views were breath taking. Food was delicious.

Beautiful lodge but client service is downright terrible.
Could easily be 5 stars....

Positive:
The lodge and the garden around it are beautiful. Super luxurious with a beautiful large room and bathroom. The bed is wonderful. A private terrace with a view of Mount Meru. It is spotlessly clean and every detail has been taken into account in terms of interior design. The swimming pool is very large and beautifully located in the garden near the bar and restaurant. The food there is really fantastic and the cook is a super friendly lady. The pool boy and the people in the garden are also very friendly. So much for the good news.

Negative:
We did not feel welcome here. Most people are very distant, which gives an unpleasant feeling. No one can smile or do anything that makes you feel good. This is mainly the case with the male counter employee and also with the man at the restaurant. The first evening after dinner, he asks us what time we have breakfast. (Breakfast is from 7-10).
We say we don't know. We are tired after a long journey and will see tomorrow morning. He asks: at 7 o'clock? Again we say we don't know. He asks: 8 o'clock? We say again that we will see that tomorrow, it is still a holiday after all...

Lunch is from 1-3 p.m. We would like to order dessert at 2.30 pm, he looks difficult. We say that we just want something small and then he brings the card anyway.
That evening we order dinner, starter and main course. He immediately wants to know if we want dessert. We say we don't know yet. This man is not suitable for dealing with guests. And believe me we are very easy going people. Perfection is not necessary and things can go wrong. But the lack of a smile and a little hospitality is really a no-go for us.

We requested a late check out (6 p.m.) through our travel organization. We check this with them to be sure. It should be settled. The man at the counter knows nothing about it. He will discuss it with the manager and says he will inform us the next morning (day of departure). The next day at 8 am he is there but says nothing. We'll have breakfast first. The female counter employee comes by and asks how things are going. We say that we don't know what the check out is like and that it is a bit stressful to still not know whether we have to leave our room in an hour or not. She says she will check it but then doesn't come back.

To illustrate: the lodge is deserted and we are the only guests for 2.5 days…
We go back to her and she says we have to discuss it with our travel organization. In short, they will want money for it... in any case, we can stay until 2 p.m. If they had said that right away it would have saved the stress.
In the end she arranged it and we can stay.

When we go to the restaurant at 5 o'clock for a last bite before we leave, she is clearly going home. She asks them if we are going to eat and says that our driver is already there. We say indeed. She then says nothing and walks away. No greetings or thanks for your visit. Nothing at all. Very strange.

At our last short meal at the end of the afternoon there is a new man serving, who is friendly.

There is an information folder in the room stating that the room is cleaned twice a day: during breakfast and dinner. In our 2.5 days, no one was there, nothing was cleaned and not even new drinking water was installed. We asked for that ourselves once. And luckily we had an extra roll of toilet paper. We drink tea from the dirty cups every day. An hour or two before our departure, everything was suddenly (unnecessarily) cleaned, including the bed and towels.

The bed and pillow are great! Not the duvet. That is 50 cm wider than the pillowcase, so they partially folded the duvet in half. That gives a thick warm wad of blanket on one side.

In short: overwhelmingly beautiful at first glance, but there is a lack of feeling of being welcome as a guest. A strange experience. Maybe it's because the lodge is quite new, I hope they do something with it then we would come back. Even at check out, no one asked how our stay was, otherwise we could have provided feedback.

A wonderful hotel to recover from an unforgettable safari. The pool is lovely, the food good and the rooms are spacious. In addition, there is a nice sitting area outside in every room. The staff is very friendly and everything seems possible. Also stayed here the first night. Didn't arrive until around 11pm and the bar had just closed. Because we wanted something to drink, they kept the bar open a little longer especially for us and even made us something to eat. Really great!
The hotel is approximately a 45-minute drive from Kilimanjaro airport.
