Stayed here for a week at the end of last month for an emergency work trip and was treated like family.
From the time I walked in until the time I left, the hotel stuff was on their A game.
Very impressed how the staff kept a very positive attitude despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
Room was comfy and quiet
Shower was l a.c rge enough for a family of four with great water pressure and hot water that never ran out.
Good location just of the interstate and close to restaurants.

My wife is a frequent visitor to this SpringHill property, but she does not stay here; it is a pick-up location for Red Dot Airport Shuttle for whenever she visits her daughter who lives in Stratford, CT. Nevertheless she is always treated exceptionally well. On March 18th she experienced the hospitality extended by Front Desk Supervisor Minerva Salgado and Assistant General Manager Dharrmais Gandi.
Traveling alone is typically stressful for my wife, and I would like to express our deepest appreciation to these managers for making her feel welcome, safe, and secure while she waited. I hope all readers will consider this review as an enthusiastic endorsement of the guest services you may expect at this SpringHill location.

Hotel was generally fine, but I was discouraged by a couple of problems. First, we had a big leak in our room that flooded the floor. They were friendly and found us another room even though the hotel was full, but I was then quite surprised at check-out to discover that my rate rose $130 when we switched rooms because their computer system re-priced it. They immediately fixed it, but had I not scrutinized the bill, we would have been overcharged by a lot. I also thought they could have done more for the inconvenience than giving us a few Bonvoy points.
On the positive side, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean, which are two of the most important features in a hotel of this nature.

We are Marriott Titanium Elite Members who have traveled the world with Marriott. After a long Covid hiatus, we booked a trip to Milford, Ct to visit family. We reserved a room at the SpringHill Suites in Milford based upon its 4.2 rating on the Bonvoy site and our previous stays at SpringHill Suites. It wasn’t until we walked into our room that we discovered that “suites” would ONLY BE CLEANED EVERY 4TH DAY. Allegedly, this is due to Covid and is in accordance to the latest CDC recommendations. No daily housekeeping — and no fresh towels, coffee, cups, soap, shampoo, etc is provided unless requested daily at the front desk. Not even a Kleenex box is provided, only a travel pack of 16 tissues for a 4 night stay. None of this is announced at checkin or noted on the website of this hotel. Were we aware of this at the time we made reservations, we would never have stayed at this facility. Additionally, the condition of the room — in particular, the badly stained bathtub and the broken closet door, is in rather poor condition. Overall we are very disappointed with this Marriott. While carry away breakfasts may be a necessary accommodation at this time, what is the difference between Marriott and AirBnB without housekeeping???

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. I was sorry to hear this visit was not aligned with what you have experienced in the past and have come to expect from Marriott. We are slowly returning to "normal" and I was sorry to hear our continued local health department restrictions had a negative impact on your stay. We are currently following these guidelines along with Marriott guidelines in completing housekeeping room stayover service. While we are not providing stayover service at this time we are still offering guests all the amenities we typically do. I apologize that this information was not passed along to you at check-in. We ask our guests to contact the front desk and we will be happy to remove from your door soiled linen and trash. We then will gladly leave you new supplies so you can continue to enjoy your stay. We also note this information in a letter to our guests that is placed in all guest rooms. We eagerly await the lifting of the remainder of the restrictions so we can continue to exceed our guests' expectations. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back one day. Found dry blood in our bed. Also found it on the shower curtain which tells me that the room wasn’t cleaned properly nor was the linen changed- especially concerning during a pandemic. No compensation was offered for the inconvenience. The hotel is aware we have 2 small children who stayed in the room.

The room was nice. Clean when we arrived. The remote for the TV didn't work, but I could use my cell to control the TV. We left after breakfast, which was very good, and returned at about 7pm. We stopped at the front desk to ask about the remote and the clerk was very accommodating, saying a new remote would be sent up. We found the room in the same condition that we left it. The bed was unmade, the trash cans were full and our used towels hadn't been exchanged. The front desk informed us that the room isn't cleaned unless you book a 3 night stay. A young gentleman brought the remote and when he found out that we needed towel, he brought towels to the room. The dirty towels and the trash were put outside the door for pickup.

We asked the clerk upon checkout why the rooms aren't cleaned. COVID was the reason given. COVID has been declared over by President Biden. This is just Marriott saving money by cutting service.

I apologize for the inconveniences you experienced with the housekeeping service at the property which impacted your stay negatively. While we do not complete a full clean until day four of your stay, we most certainly provide a tidy service every other day which would include the trash being emptied, fresh towels provided as well as the bathroom being wiped down. I will be reviewing this process with both my housekeeping and front desk teams. The response you were given at check-out could about Covid is not a factual comment. We have returned to a "new normal" for some time now and this response is not indicative of policies in place by Marriott. I plan on using your feedback as a teachable moment to improve our quality and level of service. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again should your travels bring you through the area.

Upon check in I was immediately met with attitude, as were my colleagues. Asking to add our membership numbers was met with hostility and an absolute resolve to NOT help. After checkout I noticed an incorrect charge on my credit card statement. The hotel had charged me for services on days AFTER I was long gone and no longer even in the state. I tried calling the hotel MULTIPLE times to rectify the situation, each time being told "there was no manager on the premises that could help". If you are unfortunate enough to have to stay here PLEASE check your credit card statements, you never know what they might conveniently add and NOT refund. Stay elsewhere!!!

The mini fridge had an inch of ice on the freezer compartment. One cabinet door next to it nearly fell off the hinge. I almost fell in the tub because the floor was so slippery-luckily I managed to reach the grab bar. It was like one of those commercials with the cloggers upstairs - people walking non-stop right above the bed making the floor creak loudly. I seriously almost checked out because of the noise. The "brown bag breakfast" was a sad excuse and we even had to go back to the desk because the muffins were left out of the bag. Shouldn't have bothered, terrible muffins.

Huge mistake. You can't blame everything on covid. We stayed for a couple days. First, check in, as a Marriott Bonvoy Elite member, I expected better. You are handed a 2 page waiver, they are really worried about you having parties in your room. As a business traveler that uses Marriott, I can tell you I've never been asked to sign a non party agreement. But then a $200 hold on my credit card. Again, I've never seen this amount placed on my card for essentials.

Next, the room. Food crumbs on the carpet when opened the door. We took showers the first night, then hung the towels and reused them in the morning. After that we threw the used towers into a pile near the front of the room. When we returned later that night, we opened the door. Towels, damp, still in a pile on the floor. Bed not made, carpet still a mess. I called the desk and was told the rooms don't get touched for four days because of Covid-19. I went to the desk to pick up towels and I was told to "read the letter" on the desk. I told her there was no letter. The person at the desk truly did not give a crap about us or our stay. She handed me a pile of towels and that was it.

No letter on the desk, but there was door hanger that said to "leave your towels in a pile and the would replace them".

I understand the problem with getting decent staff, but there needs to be a huge upgraded at the front desk. Moving forward I will look elsewhere to stay.

I was sorry to hear that this visit was not aligned with what you have come to expect from your previous stays at other Marriott properties. I was troubled to hear of the responsiveness challenges you experienced with my front desk staff that set the tone of your stay. While we do ask our weekend guests to sign our hotel policies form upon arrival, our staff is empowered to check a guest in without it and then have a member of the management team reach out to the guest. I was sorry that was not the case. The property has not yet returned to daily housekeeping stayover service as we continue to return to the new normal. I apologize for the inconveniences you experienced due to this not being clear to you. Again, my front office team had the opportunity to make the situation better and they failed to do so. I will be using your feedback as a teachable moment to improve our quality and level of service. First the positive: friendly staff who did their best to deal with a problem .

But the lack of hot water for 3 days is inexcusable! The first day our shower water was at best lukewarm. The second day it was cold. Front desk staff said it was because 4 sports teams had all showered before checking out. Again that night, hours after checkout time, the water was still cold. They sent a maintenance man who explained that the boiler is on the opposite side of the building and hot water sometimes can’t make it as far as our room

Front desk adjusted our bill without us even asking. So thank you, Danielle for your excellent customer service. This seemed like a problem they are used to dealing with.

Bedding was worn and stained, and towels were very thin and worn. This hotel is badly in need of a total refresh. Well below what we have come to expect from Springhill Suites/Marriott in other locations.
