The whole stay was great. It was my first time visiting Vail. At check in, Megan Rose was super pleasant and upgraded my rooms. I wanted a fireplace so bad, and she was able to give me a fireplace with a beautiful view of the slopes. The guys and girls at Valet were always available to take us anywhere we needed to go. The servers and bartenders at the lobby pub were super pleasant. The housekeeping staff were great. Anytime I needed any extra amenities, they were super quick and efficient. We had such a great stay here and will def be back!
This is our first trip since COVID became a risk in March of 2020, so I had some trepidation around safety. I was relieved to find the hotel enforces safety protocols to ensure guests can have a comfortable stay while mitigating the risks related to COVID. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful - with masks on and behind plexiglass barriers. Our rooms were exceptionally clean. Signage throughout the hotel reminded guests to maintain a safe distance from those not in your household and requiring masks and guests were accommodating. The hotel is really convenient to the slopes, transportation (also with modified protocols for health considerations) and restaurants (for takeout or limited seating). Marriott has pivoted nicely to create a safe experience without sacrificing comfort or service. View of sunrise from our room and outdoor fire pits included. …
We came in with a COVID safe mindset, and this hotel did a great job! Location, ski valet, boot lockers, free elite status breakfast, hot tubs open (with a reservation) all made our stay perfect. Most people are using points from what I can tell, so upgrades may be a challenge. Well worth taking your family here! We booked a driver to/from airport and I would highly recommend. You do not need a car in Vail, and parking is costly.
Overall this hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of a Marriott Resort. I have status for life at Marriott and was using points so wasn't sure what to expect but I will be staying here in the future on my visits to Vail. Specifically, breakfast options for elite members, proximity to the mountain, valet team and front desk staff were all very helpful. My stay was in Dec 2020 and I also very much appreciated the changes the hotel made to help guests feel safe. My room and the common areas where very clean, housekeeping was flexible and changed sheets and provided towels based on my preferences and didn't enter the room without me asking. Tips: Get to breakfast a bit early to avoid the crowds, people there are very friendly and flexible helping you to grab some things so you can eat in your room. The valet shuttle will take you anywhere in Vail, we skied to the village one day and then they came and picked us up with our skies which was a nice change versus always going back to lionshead.…
I am a Bonvoy person, always stay in the chain. This hotel, what can i say, it is a perfect choice, spotless, the team is outstanding, they ahead go out of their way to please us and i assume everyone. Rooms are great, renovated recently and will kept. Reception is a wow, valet is great, shuttle bus to and from the Vail village is impressive. The resort is 3 min walking from the Gandolla for skiers, and from restaurants, shops, etc... I commend again the team working there for making our stay unforgettable. Keep it up. Highly recommended.
