I never saw any other guests (20 rooms) until the last night when they put another couple right on the other side of my wall instead of spacing. Loud when they arrived the all the way until 3 am!! I called the owner the next day polite but firm. He said stay somewhere else and hung up. Reeked of smoking every day in spite of no smoking signs on door. The main reason for a room is to sleep! I had a 14 hr drive ahead of me. This is not hospitality. They put them on the other side of the wall for their own convenience! He said the heaters were broken in a lot of the other rooms.
Large new very well done room and beds. I was very surprised how nice the room was. The bathroom was small and the fan very noisy, but we didn't spend much time there. Sink and large mirror are outside the bathroom. The hot tub was broken. Interior hallway with rooms on one side. An older motel with the best refit I have ever seen. No view out the window. Good wifi. In the center of what little town there is. Off the highway and quite.
Very much worth the price. We had a great experience in the oldest town in Colorado. Its was very well kept. Even let us see all the available rooms because we had a three-year old toddler and she needed to have her own bed downstairs. We will recommend this place to our friends.
Stopped over here for one night on our way through and found a clean and pleasant hotel. Friendly staff and clean, well equipped rooms, plenty of parking. The only drawback was that it was a long walk to the main restaurants / night life in the area. However this did mean that it was quiet, was a little disappointed that there wasn't much choice for breakfast but over all I'd recommend the motel as good value.
Stayed here after trying and failing to find a reasonably priced room in Alamosa as we headed south. I'm happy it worked out that they had a room available as the room was comfy and clean. Nothing fancy and small bathroom, but slept pretty well. No breakfast was offered in the morning (nor coffee), but there is a great little coffee and pastry shop down the street where you park for the stations of the cross. Motel felt secure and parking area was well-lit as we arrived later in the evening. Would stay again.
