The hotel property is very beautiful with lush landscaping and nicely appointed individual cabins. The cabins have a large indoor shower and outdoor shower with rain shower heads. The service is excellent, and they offer you a fruit drink and cold towel when you check in. There were two cons: 1) Extremely uncomfortable bed that felt like sleeping on a hardwood floor. 2) Privacy is a bit challenging when staying with kids as there is no door to the showers and they are located behind a partial wall so you have to trust the kids to stay put in the bedroom portion when showering. While this was a lovely hotel, I likely would l not stay here again unless there were more comfortable beds.
We spend two wonderful rainy days at this secluded hotel located right next to Volcan Tenorio . We hiked through its trails and slept peacefully under the sounds of running water and rain. We would like also to send a shout out to Juan Pablo, our luggage carrier and unofficial tour advice guide. He was always available and willing to let us know where to go and have a great time. Definitely an experience never to be forgotten.
We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights with a multi-generational group. Wildlife was abundant throughout the grounds. We even saw monkeys on one of the roofs on the last day. The staff was excellent. The rooms were spotless and the food was great. There is a path that leads to the river if you want to swim. My boys preferred the pool however. I highly recommend this hotel.
I do not have enough good things to say about this hotel. We would highly recommend it. We loved everything about it from the amazing staff, to the gorgeous rooms! We also highly enjoyed the paths to the beautiful Rio Celeste River, and the wildlife that can be viewed from the hotel, including colorful birds, butterflies and monkeys. It also very close to Tenorio volcano national park and the beautiful Rio Celeste waterfall. We will definitely be back!
Kenneth and the staff at the hotel answered every question and request to make our 2-night stay hiccup free. Our bungalow was spacious and elegant, with lots of natural light during the day from floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as reading light for evenings. Two spacious showers, one indoor and one an enclosed outdoor shower complete with luscious flowering plants. A gorgeous, roofed deck so we could sit out even when it rained. Everything was supplied. The open-air restaurant is surrounded by so many lush tropical plants it is like sitting in a garden, and the food. Well, one of us is an omnivore and one a vegetarian and we each had choices that were delicious, with some suggestions by the chef. They had positioned in the “garden” a stand with fresh fruit which attracted the birds so we could photograph them up close! They arranged a guide, Joseph, to give us a night walk around the property where he explained what we were seeing, and hearing (very reassuring). We got to see colorful frogs and friendly snakes and even footprints in the dirt of something I do not remember the name of. Frosting on the cake was Joseph forwarding us the close-up pictures he took on the tour. He is an accomplished photographer!…
