Great rooms, great amenities, great location, great housekeeping staff and great owners who run this place. The rooms are newly renovated with crown moulding, new floors and new tile in the bathroom. All done handsomely in good taste. We loved our stay and we'll be back for sure.

Friendly Hills Inn was a smart choice for lodging and rest after a surgical procedure at PIH, which is only 2 miles from the motel. Our room had one king-size bed and was well appointed with high-quality amenities and a well-maintained appearance. Staff are friendly and responsive. We would stay here again.

I usually stay at Marriott properties since I am a Titanium member but two friends we staying here so I decided to book my room here. My room was amazing it had everything I needed except for a pencil. It was very clean, recently well done remodel, the king bed was great, it had shutters that kept a lot of the early morning light out, the wall a/c was efficient and drowned out any outside noise. A terrific family operated Mexican Restaurant was next door. I was going to pay $155 at the Marriott but I wouldn’t have been a happy with the room as I was with this one for 2/3 of the cost.

I grew up in this area and had no idea it existed until to I have to visit for business and found this spot on trip advisor. I was very impressed with my over all experience with this establishment. The person who assisted me was so professional, friendly, and efficient that registration was a breeze. As stated in other reviews, the rooms are newly renovated and are very nice! Extremely comfortable bed and all of The USB ports you need! I have already made reservations for my next trip in a week!

This is a very good basic motel, clean and well set up. No room service. They clean the rooms every two or three days, but you can ask for clean towels every day. Very good mattresses on bed. Parking is a little tight if the motel is full. Whittier is a very pleasant town.

Very nice place to stay. Great staff clean rooms. Front desk staff went out of their way to serve our needs. laundry is done thru an outside company so always clean and folded sheets . Will be back for sure

I highly recommend Friendly Hills Inn in Whittier, CA. For my needs the Inn is centrally located between my families that I visit and to shopping and freeways. Besides those conveniences, the rooms I have had were clean and well stocked. The management is very sincere and accommodating. As a single female traveler I also feel safe there.

The motel is located in a non-tourism area and fair distance of drive to any of the attractions. My worst experience is the noise. Noise from AC and traffic. The hotel room is not as clean as I expected as I can clearly smell something unpleasant at the sink. Also, the wall is very thin and I could hear all the conversations or moans upstairs, lol.

hotel is very nice inside and out very well lit and staff very nice..pros of staying here nice rooms big TV , great lighting in the room, decor ad colors are easy on the eyes, shower head has quite a few spray patterns and great flow, area was very quiet. now for the cons pool locked and only open 10 to 6 and have to get staff to open pool and very small pool what a joke. the mattress sucked I needed a chiropractor adjustment after our stay here. towels to dry with after a shower are way too small for any adult Scaulding hot water need to turn the water heater down this can be very dangerous

Worst experience ever at a motel/hotel. From the get-go it was a bad experience. One thing after another. They would not accommodate a downstairs room after requested (no biggie), the door rattled like a freight train every time the ac came on and maintenance could not fix it. The worst part...I ended up with bed bug bites and they refused to refund me even after showing them photos. Don't stay here! Run away, don't walk!

I'm not sure as my room was not handicap. I would contact the manager directly. They were on-sight and very helpful. I know the lower level is accessible but I'm not sure about your shower question.
There are more places to choose from in the Whittier area.
