I had an amazing time, I would definitely come back next time Im in LA. The location of the Hotel is in a very quiet neighborhood, which is great when you want to spend time by the pool reading a book, just enjoying time with yourself or family, the Bedroom was pretty clean, I love the attention you get since the doorman, front desk, all the staff very friendly and respectful, specially Franco, who helped me so much in guiding me with the menu, I wanted to make sure my meal was gluten free, and he gently helped us through, since I have bad days with gluten and not everyone is so understanding.
and last but not least, the pool has a magnificent view, the bartenders are very nice and smiley all time. If you’re planning on staying in LA, Montrose is the place to stay :)

I stayed at this hotel twice this month with my very large family. The customer service was amazing! David, Eduardo, Victor and Arturo were my favorites! Arturo even remembered my oat milk substitute when I forgot to order it in my latte one day, this is something that is rare in customer service. Victor always greeted my family with a big smile on his face and was incredibly friendly to my shy puppy. Eduardo and David were so friendly and understanding when I had to take everything out of my car and especially when my family was driving me crazy.

I will say that other servers can definitely learn from Arturo, there were a few days where we had to wait for over an hour for our meals. Also once I asked for three smoothies, one at my table and two at the other table. When I asked the server for the third one, I politely asked if the third smoothie would be coming out soon and the server just looked at me, when I said that I had ordered three smoothies, he flat out said, "No, you ordered two." I was a waitress for a long time and I do not think I have ever flat out told a guest that they did not order something. I would also like for the hotel to automatically bring up things like towels and washcloths daily, but I understand that new protocols are in place due to COVID. It was pretty pricey, I feel like I have stayed at "fancier" hotels for far less. The beds were pretty hard.

All in all, this was a great place to stay. Thank you so much to this hotel for a wonderful stay!

Hotel was great, staff was nice. The main reason I booked this hotel was because of the roof top pool. When I arrived there was a note posted that the pool was closed all weekend for maintenance. Huge disappointment. The only other issue was acting for things that never happened. I asked for more towels and waited up for them they never came I was told someone would come to my room to make up the fold out bed that never happened and I had to call down to the desk again to get them to send someone up to do it but eventually they did.

To be frank the only good thing about this hotel is the location. In that regard I would give it a 5/5. There are tons of great restaurants in the area and as a solo traveller I found it to be very safe.
It was severely lacking in every other aspect. The front desk was unwelcoming and disinterested at best. I do have to say that the room service and restaurant staff were amazing. They were extremely nice and accommodating.
The rooms were a good size and very clean but for the price you pay per night it was seriously lacking. There are no drawers for clothes and there is no full length mirror. It should be noted when i asked to switch to a room with a full length mirror the front desk was able to bring one to my room (something cheap you would get at ikea).
The resort fee is the most preposterous thing. The hotel does offer free coffee in the morning and a “happy hour” (with wine only) from 5-6pm. But there are no coffee machines in the rooms. And you have to ask the front desk for cutlery. Not too sure what “resort fees” I was paying for.
I was really looking forward to staying here given the location but I will never come back. It’s not even close to worth what you have to pay for. Rent an Airbnb in the same area if you have the choice.
As a tip to the owners/managers. Please invest in hospitality training for front desk staff. And possibly invest in common customary hotel items.

Good hotel, good location but services not so good. We went first to a room in the second floor with a noisy AC just below it. Asked to change the room, then the new room had no curtains in one of the windows. Asked the front desk to help us and, although they were polite, in the end said couldn’t do anything. I had to put some cushions to try to block the sunlight. Also, they charge you $25 per day for amenities and $45 for parking. One of the valet guys is extremely rude. Hotel should train employees better.

Wonderful experience staying at the Montrose Suites hotel for 2 nights last week. My room (529) had views over downtown LA which at night was spectacular.
The spacious king bed room was so comfortable and the large modern bathroom and walk in shower was a pleasure. The living room with its gas fireplace and even a kitchenette was quiet and comfortable
Located in a very safe area of Los Angeles with many close by dining options.
The knowledgable service staff were extremely helpful and willing to assist in anyway.
I look froward to my next stay in the near future.

The room was great - spacious, clean and city view was amazing. They found out we were celebrating a birthday and sent us up cake and ice cream! Walking distance to weho nightlife. Everyone was very nice, responsive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Only reason why it’s not 5/5 is because the amenity fee didn’t feel worth it and parking was steep at $45. Would absolutely stay again and recommend to a friend.

First let me start by saying the best part of this hotel is the outside valet concierge service guys. Friendly, nice kind helpful always!!!!!!!!!
Hotel front desk hit of miss. On check in guy was a bit cocky and I am very disappointed that we booked 6 rooms all of which everyone had a tiny kitchen, balcony and sleep sleep area. I get there and say i have a balcony right and he says no for 20 more I can get you one. I said wait I called I am with a party and we all got a special price and told we would have balcony. He said let me check to see what i can do. Sure enough he got me a room with one. But i swear he gave me one without kitchen and sep sleep area on purpose. Had I known what other rooms were like from the start i would have complained and demanded to be switched. Traveling with someone who snores it would have been helpful to have that sep area.
Another night the man up front was super nice and then final day the girl working was ah so so.
Anyway the rooms were ok decently clean not spotless but ok. A chair on patio would be nice. The bathroom and toiletries very nice. The advertised laundry area which I needed to use was a disgrace. it was in a parking basement garage hot humid dirty trashy unsafe and gross. Unacceptable.

Pool is super small but fine bar was very limited hours etc by the pool. All in all if i knew what I know now i would stay again in the larger rooms. Price is not cheap but ok for area. I prefer and would proballytry to stay t a name brand hotel next time.

We've stayed at the Montrose several times. It's ideally located for quick/reasonable access to a variety of nearby points of interest. Each of our stays has been ideal; the rooms are clean, outstanding desk, valet and room services have been experienced by my family and me. This last trip, on New Year's Eve no less underscored the Montrose's seeming commitment to excellence. We were greeted at check-in by Amber. Amber was attentive, detail oriented and also ensured excellent care of some extended property that the Wifey & I were concerned about with the blessing of Montrose management. I can honestly say this place comes across as a well-oiled machine and I encourage anyone coming to the area to give this fine hotel a chance to serve you.

The Montrose is nestled in a quiet, residential neighborhood, and its design integrates into the area so well you could walk by it and never know it was a hotel if not for its non-obtrusive signage. It's just a short stroll from Sunset Boulevard, yet remains quiet in the evenings.
My suite had a balcony which faced the main street. It was well-decorated with few indications of wear and tear, and featured a small gas fireplace in the sitting area that was nice in the cooler evenings.
I most enjoyed the multi-level pool and tennis court areas, the latter of which had been revamped into a sitting area and small outdoor gym. I visited in late November, and the combination of direct sun and occasional breezes made it very comfortable. The former tennis court was situated a level higher than the pool and I don't think many people realized it had been converted, so I had it all to myself for hours on end. It offered a lovely view toward downtown LA, and was a great place to read in peace for a few hours.

Yes, I stayed w kids similar age. It’s not a kid focussed property which suited me fine. Great location and nice rooms. We had a room w 2x queens (2 kids shared) and sunken lounge w sofa bed (1 kid). The sofa bed mattress are VERY good. Small kitchenette w sink, fridge etc. Doesn’t come well stocked w cutlery etc but do what we did - just tell them what u need (5x plates, bowls, cutlery, glasses) and keep for duration. Good shopping (pierdmont) not far away. I would stay there again w family - our second fav accom on our trip
