We do not agree with comments of people saying the hotel is old, sky bar is disturbing the stay of hotel residents, etc. The hotel is well maintained, room was renovated and spacious with good city view, we were On the last and 12th floor. Swimming pool close at 6 pm (but you can still be in the water a bit after, no worries) as the skybar welcomes West Hollywood nights with beautiful people and cars (dress code apply even for resident). Valet service excellent and no restaurant during our stay but many options in the surrounding. You have to ask the front desk for ice, room servicing but this is explained when checking in. We enjoyed being in sunset boulevard , riding Beverly Hills and the comfort of the location. If you plan to stay for the weekend, just be careful the skybar can be out of control if you stay on the pool side… stay on city side, high level floor and enjoy the quiet air conditioning at night.

I read the reviews on this hotel and I was about to change hotels. All the negative reviews, but SOOO glad I didn't. This place is amazing! First, let's start with valet, front desk, and bell hop. Ruston, Anderson, Terrance and Wesley were amazing. Valet is $49 a night, but our car was always ready for us. Anderson always greeted us with warm conversation and asked me how my birthday vacation was going. The front desk staff as a whole was very professional. Lobby always smelled so clean. And the ambience of the lobby is wonderful. When Anderson found out it was my birthday, he had a bottle of champagne sent to my room and he gave us a great suggestion on dinner our first night. Great steak house walking distance from the hotel. I booked the suite, it was clean and very spacious. No problems with hot water or towels. They will clean your room upon request, but we just received fresh towels from the front desk whenever we needed them. No microwave in room, but they brought one to the room when we requested it. The bar and pool area are nice, but being January we really didn't use the pool. The hotel utilizes the Pendry hotel next door for their room service, but we just went there every morning for breakfast. Very good food and we didn't mind walking right next door. The only negative comment I have to say about this hotel is they make you pay a $90 resort fee for wifi and other amenties, but the wifi was very slow. My husband did use the gym and he said it was very nice. Overall we had a wonderful trip to LA and We WILL definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.

I know everybody has a choice when traveling as where to stay in a hotel and I have to say though staying at the Mondarin Los Angeles in West Hollywood was by far the best experience I have ever had in over 20 years and especially now with the pandemic the rooms were beautiful comfortable clean and omg the staff was beyond amazing, especially the entertainment manager Robert Nichols and Diana who was at the front desk, they were amazing, went above and beyond…. always answering questions, providing guidance, and they would just come up to me in the lobby and spend some of their time and asked how I was doing! That in itself is priceless, oh and I was treated like royalty. I will absolutely stay here again! The views were breathtakingly amazing!!

Our one bedroom suite had black hairs all over the ceiling, snot on the bathroom wall deplorable bathroom conditions and the front desk solution was to apologize they had no other rooms for the night.

The following morning the front desk assured that they would arrange for us to be moved into a “clean room” and thus we packed up our bags and left them by the door. Upon our arrival back at 9pm after a long day in L.A with two small kids, not only did we find that they had not moved us to a new room as was promised; insult to Injury, our room had still not be cleaned with the black hairs still festering in the bathroom from the day prior.

The front desk manager, while apologetic, claimed to know nothing about the incident the night before and again apologized that they had no other rooms available to move us to. 10pm they finally had people come clean our room, our kids fell asleep fully clothed given the nature of the bathroom.

Upon check-out the following day, for the third time, I had rehash my story as the morning front desk manager was unaware of any adjustments to be made to the invoice for our inconvenience of having to sleep in a dirty room for two nights. In summary, dealing with three various managers across three dates there is zero accountability as to who is in charge of this hotel with zero concerns regarding guests’ experience.

I believe a basic expectation of any hotel is that you have a clean room, and at this price point you also expect to have superior customer service, Mondrian fails at both. I have contacted American Express Platinum and have encouraged them to take this property off their recommended signature properties. I even had American Express Travel call the front desk during my stay to resolve this issue and asked if they could assist us with procuring us a new clean room, and like me they were unsuccessful in doing so. I travel extensively for work spending nearly 50+ nights at hotels and have never encountered such dysfunction at what is supposed to be a luxury hotel. I emphatically encourage travelers to stay somewhere else.

Stayed at the Mondrian Feb 14-16. At the price point I expect a reasonable amount of service attention and immaculate rooms/sheets.

Upon waking up on 2/15 I found my bedsheets had a weird stain on the edge. I raised it to the attention of the front desk and they let me know that they would notify housekeeping and address the issue while I was out. When I returned, I checked in at the desk and they confirmed that it should’ve been handled. When I got back to my room, the room service tray from 9pm the night before was in the hallway, the room itself has not been serviced and the sheets were still on the bed. While I was gathering my stuff to once again leave, housekeeping knocked on the door and asked if I needed a cleaning. I had to re-explain the issue. I let the front desk know, they apologized and said that they’d talk to the housekeeping manager. no attempt of service recovery.

On 2/16, before checking out, I laid out a towel on the floor of the bathroom and noticed a dark stain on it. On checkout, I brought it to the attention of the front desk and they apologized. Again, no attempt at service recovery.

I noted that for a high quality hotel, stained sheets and towels isn’t acceptable and expressed my surprise that the hotel hadn’t offered anything in terms of a real apology. The front desk agent offered to get a manager and stepped off for a few minutes only to return with information that a manager wasn’t available.

As an anecdote, it took me 10 minutes to get anyone’s attention when I was trying to get a table for breakfast. The host stand wasn’t manned and waiters weren't paying attention.

I provided them with my mobile number at 7:50am and as of 9:45 I have not been contacted. Clearly there’s an issue with the hotel’s laundry service, but staff is neither empowered to or interested in delivering service either. I gave the hotel a couple chances to be proactive here and am very disappointed; going forward I won’t be staying at the property.

We traveled to LA for a show at the Hollywood Bowl, and stayed at the Mondrian for location, and also to check out their weekend pool party. From the moment we pulled up, we were greeted by friendly staff (valet, check-in, even the cleaning crew we passed in the hallway!) Service truly stands out above all the other positives (and there are a lot)

Our room was GORGEOUS. We got a large room with a beautiful view of the Hollywood hills and the Sunset strip. Our room had a huge sitting/lounge area, a bar area, and a dreamy bathroom. Extra bonus was the shower with the large window/ visibility into the room (wink wink!) The Alice in Wonderland theme was a small, but appreciated detail. From the furniture to the design decor, well done!

The Skybar was amazing -- we had gorgeous LA weather and the pool party was an absolute blast. Both Saturday and Sundays, the Skybar has great DJs all afternoon! The pool is a bit smaller than I expected but plenty of lounge chairs, cabanas, and of course the large covered deck bar. Everyone from Tyler at the front, to all the beautiful ladies/ bottle service, made us feel VIP! The Director of Operations stopped by to check on us (and everyone) and that was just next level service.

Additional notes: No ice machines, the front desk/ staff will bring you ice buckets upon request. Walking distance to A LOT of restaurants and bars on sunset and down La Cienaga. Valet is great, but there's also an affordable lot across the street (if you have guests visiting or if you don't want to valet.) I didn't see a restaurant on site but I do believe there is food service?

I celebrated my birthday weekend at the Mondrian with my husband. We had the Balcony Suite overlooking the city and it was such an amazing experience drinking champagne on the balcony watching the sunset and sunrise. From Valet to Front Desk, to Housekeeping I experience everywhere amazing customer service and everyone was so friendly and just made this hotel so very special. I am very particular about my hotel stays and little things like this just stand out to me. The location of the hotel is perfect, easy to walk or use RideShare to anything on the Sunset from fun brunch to bars or shopping and restaurants. I really enjoyed the restaurant but especially had a fun amazing time at Sky Bar just steps away from the lobby with an awesome view. The suite had a great layout, loved the bathroom with jacuzzi tub and rain shower, loved the bathroom products, even makeup wipes were provided, love those little details. Balcony is soundproof with 2 double doors, so you really cant hear the hustle and buzzle coming from the city and the bed was just relaxing and so comfortable, I even slept in till 9am (thank you black out curtains) and that is a rare experience for me.

I had the best birthday weekend. Thank you Mondrian.

This was previously a happening hotel with a super fun vibe, though on this stay it felt cold, abandoned and impersonal.

I understand it must be hard during this time though this was my 5th hotel stay in 5 nights and this was the only hotel that felt this way.

When I checked in, I mentioned I was sensitive to noise when I sleep and asked if there was a room possibly not facing the strip, and the gentleman who checked me in was adamant there was no noise (despite facing Sunset). It didn’t feel like I was being listened to or heard.

There was (of course) lots of street noise, though as I was only there one night it wasn’t worth trying to arrange moving once I got to the room.

The experience with him felt cold and impersonal.

The hotel itself is clean and in a happening area of town. It is right in the heart of WeHo near great restaurants, bars and shopping.

The room felt boxy, though the bed was comfortable and I appreciated the coffee machine in the room.

I was disappointed by the $45 resort fee, that when I asked what it was in regards to got no clear explanation. I am happy to pay top price for a hotel, though if you have a random fee and your team cannot explain it, it is off putting.

This was especially frustrating given there was not even a restaurant or room service available.

Overall is a clean, bland hotel that once had panache. I would not return.

Our stay at the Mondrian got off to a terrible start, we arrived at 3:30pm and check in was at 3pm to be told that our room was not ready and we could not check in for another 2 hours, whilst being made to feel we were not important and did not belong in the hotel and were actually at fault for wanting to check in. The staff member then offered us an option to check in immediately if we paid another 35 usd a night! We had already paid plenty for our stay on sunset boulevard and said no, I then confirmed the check in time was 3pm (it was) and asked why our room was not ready as we should be able to check in without paying anything more. I was told there was many late check outs and there was nothing that could be done but they would discount the upgrade to 30 usd a night for us to check in and that was the end of it, in quite a rude manor considering we were the client and not in the wrong. We then sat in reception for over an hour waiting for the room to be ready feeling out of place and questioning our life choices. For the amount paid to stay here at the very least a free drink while we waited would have been a good offer but the staff were not interested as we were not the ‘influencer’ type. There’s also was a large deposit to pay on check in.

This hotel is designed with influencers in mind and is all about the look, the hotel pool, bar and restaurant are all for those with TikTok or insta followers with people arriving all hours of the day to make use of the facilities and hotel guests not really welcome to use them. We went to the pool once, it was pretty small but the view over LA was great.

The room was fine and a haven from the rest of the hotel, we dreaded having to walk through reception to leave each day. The mini bar and room service menus were pricey and the room itself had cigarette burns on the sheets, make up on the towels and not enough coffee making facilities, the bathroom door was not functional and the furniture took up way too much space.

The location was handy but there are other hotels on the street and we ubered everywhere so if you’re here to see LA and not interested in the ‘Hollywood vibe’ don’t stay here!!

In LA for a meeting, we spent a very comfortable night at this property - which to us seemed to have a few design quirks. The reception desk is very small and tucked into a corner of what otherwise is an expansive lobby area - laid out with different focus areas. The bedroom was huge and the bed exceptionally comfortable. But a few feet from one side of the bed was a wall of glass separating it from the shower (which admittedly had a vanity curtain). Compared to the size of th bedroom, the bathroom was minute and had very small horizontal services to temporarily place make up containers and the like. The living room had a good sized television mounted on a floor to ceiling pole that enabled the set to be rotated to be viewed either from the couch or the bed. Most strange was hotel access - an easy drive in from eastbound Sunset but there was no exit onto eastbound or westbound Sunset, one had to exit on a side street and then go around a block. What contact we had with staff was pleasant and helpful and, of course, the restaurant and pool area has a simply stunning view.

I am trying to book a room for my wife, teenage son and myself. The website suggests several rooms, but none mention a second bed or a pullout couch and also say you can't ask for an additional cot. Where would my son sleep? Is there a room you'd suggest that has a pull out couch or extra bed, other than the king for ourselves?
