This Inn is very charming and romantic. Safe and quiet, day and night. They serve the best coffee and best breakfast. The stuff is very friendly, kind and helpful and no extra charges and fees, like the big hotel are adding to the bill. Location was great, I drove to Bill Roges beach, to Santa Monica beach, to Temescal village.
The wine and cheese in the afternoon, was enough "dinner" for me.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Channel Road Inn in Santa Monica for a high school reunion. I have always enjoyed the homey feeling and the warm hospitality at Four Sisters Inn. Channel Road Inn did not disappoint. It is an adorable cottage bordering Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades. It is in a very safe neighborhood. Walking in the residential area is candy for the eye. Walking the other direction takes you to the beach with walking and riding trail and clean bathrooms along the way. The location is perfect. Driving up the hill is the beautiful Pacific Palisades and Malibu. . Driving a few minutes other direction is Santa Monica, Westwood and Beverly Hills where there are plenty of restaurants. The inn is beautifully decorated. It is very clean and comfortable. Sasha at the front desk greeted us and kindly kept our bags till we check in later. Dominique was a charmer who kept the inn smelling like freshly baked cookies and a warm feeling of being at home. She made us a delicious breakfast every morning and prepared a cheese and wine tray in the afternoon. The bed was very comfortable, the towels fresh and the water was a perfect pressure! I can’t stand low pressure showers! AND best of all parking is free (usually $45-$60 a night in LA. There was also free parking on the street. There was always space in the lot for us so we had. No problem with that. There is a restaurant across the inn and one next to it. We did not try either one. However next time I would like to do that. Overall it was a 5 star experience. Channel Road Inn will be my to go place fir a few days get away. Thank you Four Sisters Inn, Sasha and Dominique for a wonderful time. Ok now I like LA and will visit and stay there!!!!

I can’t say enough about this fabulous Inn. The location is perfect ,the rooms are great, the staff is super friendly and helpful! The breakfast was outrageous they make all the muffins and pastries from scratch and have fresh fruit and yogurt and homemade granola in individual adorable dishes ! Several cute spots you can have breakfast inside and out! Then the email you receive around three that your happy hour wine is ready! You are given a bag with fresh baked cookies ,crackers, pretzels and individual cheese plate along with a small carafe of wine! They even packed me a to go breakfast for my early morning flight!the rooms are super clean! Masks must be worn in main areas of the property. We will be back at Thanksgiving!

We stayed for two nights as part of a road trip up the Californian coast. The B&B is a couple of minutes walk to the beach and about 30 minutes walk to Santa Monica pier.
We felt very welcome at the B&B - the staff were friendly and went out of their way to make us ensure everything about our stay was enjoyable. Breakfast was simple but had everything needed and the hot options each morning were very tasty. The cheese and wine "hour" each evening was likewise worth getting back in time for!
Our room had a small balcony with comfortable outside seating, a strong shower and comfy bed - all the public areas were likewise comfortable and the whole property felt well looked after.

I wish we could have stayed longer than one in this lovely historic home with modern bathrooms and plenty of outlets. Convenient to the beach, Pacific Coast Highway, and Palisades Park. Our bedroom was lovely and the common spaces were even lovelier. The staff was attentive. It is a traditional B&B so be prepared to carry your luggage:)

This is a jewel only a block off the water and close to everything in Santa Monica and Malibu. The gorgeous home is old and new. Love the new dark blue paint, it's so beautiful - as is the staff. Fantastic service and personal touches. A real home away from home. From the clean and beautiful rooms, to the wonderful afternoon wine and snacks, to the living area that is inviting to have a cozy chat with others, read a book or just relax indoors by the fire, or outside at many different choices of seating and tables all while hearing the ocean crash. The breakfast spread is divine. The home is 3 stories, there is no elevator, so if you can't do stairs then choose to be on the bottom floor if needed. We will be coming again.

We stayed at the Channel Road Inn for 2 nights last month. Our room (no. 1) and bath were lovely and spotlessly clean, a bit small but we had a large private terrace. The public spaces were beautiful, the breakfast buffet was delicious and bountiful, with a baked egg dish as well as cereals, fruit and bread. Evening snacks were better than average. The location was walkable to the beach and a few restaurants. You would need a car to go to the downtown Santa Monica locations. We stayed during the week so there were enough parking spaces on site. The staff was helpful and friendly. This is a great base if you are visiting the Getty or want to be close to LAX. The neighborhood is quiet and mostly residential. We will return.

Everything about this property was excellent. The staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful we have seen anywhere. The breakfasts were out of this world. Our room was perfect. Very comfortable furniture and a roomy bathroom. Great common areas were perfect for just sitting back and relaxing. With their location being only a half a block from the ocean, it would be very tough to beat this property. We are big fans.

My husband and I booked one night here in order to be in close proximity to St. John's Providence Hospital for his early morning surgery the next day. So, obviously, this was not a pleasure stay. But I need to convey my deepest appreciation for the outstanding staff at Channel Road Inn whose efforts to be kind and helpful meant so much. Violeta, for example, sent me off with a "to go" breakfast pack, including the most delicious parfait I have ever had, because we could not partake in the breakfast in-person experience. Audrey let us check in just a bit early the afternoon before so we could rush off to handle the preop appointment at 4pm. These acts of kindness helped at a very stressful time. The accommodations, including the quiet, calm, and beautiful spaces of the inn as well as the clean, comfortable room and bed, helped us get into the most positive mindset. We loved it at Channel Road Inn and promise to be back again under less stressful circumstances. Thanks again!

What a wonderful experience! Every detail of my visit was truly exquisite. Impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and a gorgeous property inside and out. There was not so much as a speck of dust to speak of negatively. This property is an oasis of tranquility in the sea of busyness that is the Los Angeles area. We felt as if we were nestled in the mountains of North Carolina with the added bonus of a Pacific ocean breeze! The wood floors and other wood features throughout the house are gorgeous. There's even a desk facing a window that, I swear, you could write the Great American Novel on. The bathrooms were perfect. Water pressure wonderful. I really, really loved being led to my room and walking into a space flooded with natural light and filled with classical music playing. Just perfect.

I had a charming room, on the second floor, facing the back. It had its own deck too!

Yes, we welcome guests travelling with children babies in certain guestrooms. This ensures the comfort of the family as well as fellow guests. The Petite Suite guestroom would be an ideal choice and can be viewed at the channelroadinn website. We recommend contacting the inn directly to discuss available guestrooms for your needs. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
Hi Jan,
Thanks for your inquiry. As our amazing TripAdvisor community have mentioned, the beach is a five to ten minute walk from Channel Road Inn.
We are always happy to assist with questions and recommendations either by telephone, email or TripAdvisor.
I hope we can welcome you in the future.
Warmly,
Heather Suskin
Innkeeper, Channel Road Inn
The Third Street promenade is about 10 min. from the Channel Road Inn in Santa Monica (without bumper-to-bumper traffic). You can't take a left directly onto Pacific Coast Hwy unless you take a right out of the inn and then the first left on a side street, then a left onto PCH.
We walked there and back and spent the day shopping on 3rd st promenade, it's a long walk, but it's lovely to do if you have the time.
There are bikes you can use at the Inn and I would recommend doing that as the walk is a bit long if you want to spend a day shopping. There is a bike stand on the ground floor of the big car park that is near to the mall that has Nordstrom and Macy's.
