Tanisha was great, and very friendly and helpful. This hotel is very beautiful, and staff was nice as well. I will definitely stay here again. The restaurant was a little overpriced, but I guess they have to make their money too.

Isaac was very helpful - Thank You Isaac My wife, adult daughter and I were in the area to attend an afternoon wedding. We called ahead, asking Isaac at the hotel front desk if it was possible for an early check in to allow time to drive up there and change before attending the wedding. Isaac was polite, professional and very friendly and helpful.

As a loyal Hilton Diamond member that travels monthly all over this country for work, I have grown accustomed to Hilton excellence. Unfortunately, Zessa by Hilton (?) formerly Doubletree on MacArthur Road, Santa Ana CA fell far below the standards I have come to expect. How disappointing! Arriving at 11 pm Monday night, after a long day of travel from the East Coast, I couldn’t locate the hotel despite my GPS telling me the Hilton was nearby. I circled the hotel 3x! Apparently the hotel changed its name to the mysterious “Zessa” but there were no signs on the hotel or from the entrance my Apple phone GPS led me too. I guess they took down the Hilton sign last week. Forgot to put the new name over the door? One wonders… is incognito the new chic? 😎 Zessa’s style & design are lovely, fresh, & elegant but the remodel is mot finished and I wouldn’t recommend staying in a hotel under construction. A large ceiling tile was falling into the lobby this morning, the pool was closed, the plumbing was off 10 am-2pm two of my three day stay, the fire alarms were being tested, weird announcements by speaker into my room about “the false alarm” (?!) at 9 pm, the presence of loud beeping cranes and workmen everywhere. It’s a work zone. That alone wouldn’t have spoiled my stay, however, it was the poor service & non-responsive staff that did that for me. Front desk man Jessie was okay (grumpy, gruff but a pussy cat deep down — he gave me a complimentary breakfast coupon when I shared my woeful tale the first night) but Natasha was channeling some dark energy both times I had to deal with her. She was extremely unprofessional and aggressive when I told her (morning day #2) that I never got my waking up call and my alarm clock/plug-in charger wasn’t working. Natasha was very irritated that I couldn’t remember my room number. I apologized & explained it was either 406 or 416. I thought it was 416 but the computer said 406 so I repeatedly said that I could be wrong. Could she check which one I’m in & fix the problem? After telling me she couldn’t if she didn’t know what room I was in (?!) she growled at me that there was nothing in the system indicating a wake up call, either. She didn’t apologize or help problem solve at all. So I literally walked away from the desk baffled by her teeny angst rudeness. 10 minutes later she called me while I was driving to my client site to tell me, triumphantly, “You ARE in room 406!!” I was taken back… ok!? Why are you calling me, I inquired. “I need your permission to enter your room to fix your clock.” 🥸 Natasha, that’s why I stopped by the desk 10 minutes ago. 🫤 So my alarm clock/phone charging outlet was not working day one, & my phone & toilet stopped working day two. Wednesday morning I asked that someone fix my toilet. It’s not fun having to remove the cover & stick your hand in the tank repeatedly. Wednesday at 5 pm, the tank cover was still off my toilet tank and no one had been in to fix the plumbing. All communication to request repairs or replacements was frustrating, especially since my room phone wasn’t working (no ring tone/no buttons connected me to anyone!) 😞 Natasha was, predictably, upset this morning when I told her that no one had come to fix my toilet yesterday. She got defensive and asked, “Did you tell me about that or someone else??” Honestly, I couldn’t remember who was at the desk when I reported the broken plumbing. Does that matter Natasha???? She never apologized or offered a kind word. I think I mumbled something about how ridiculous this was when she then offered to take off my $27 a day (4 days) parking fee!?! “What fee?!” I asked incredulously. No one told me about a fee. I’d been told from day 1 to park out front in the mini lot that’s not fenced in or gated. Subsequently, I had asked daily where I should park & if I needed to move but was assured I could stay there. No mention of fees at any time. 🙄 You can imagine how receptive Natasha was to this feedback. She rudely said “Well, it’s on your bill so I am taking it off.” No hope you had a nice stay, please come again, thanks for being a Diamond member. Just attitude. The staff shortages impact quality clearly. Which is sad but perhaps unavoidable? Even at a 3 star Hilton in LA! I try to be graceful & kind for those who do show up & serve with professionalism, they are so deserving of deep gratitude & respect. 🙏🏼 So thanks to the cleaning staff. The rooms were impeccable. Thanks to the sweet young man at the coffee shop in the lobby who brightened my morning! And thanks to Jessie, who gave me two hot Choco chip cookies & check-in & a gruff chuckle when I teased him after he spilled his coffee all over the front desk. “We’re cutting you off tonight, Jess!” And the security guard chuckled too. 💕 I won’t be staying here again. Zessa, focus more on customer service & less on boutique interior design. People need substance over style. 🙏🏼

Nice hotel that was close to where I needed to be for a meeting, great staff. Lorena was very helpful and cheerful checking me in. The rooms were newly renovated. Some construction occurring but only would cause issue if staying in the hotel during day time hours.

Wait staff, Anita was exceptional. Food was good but the recommended items were right on track. Anita service was not over the top, but just right. She attended to our team’s needs in a very thorough manner, without being overly in our business.

The server was very attentive and provided recommendations on the menu when we had problems deciding. She was prompt with refills without interrupting. She remembered everyone’s request and was quick to correct an error in the meal. She was very pleasant throughout the meal and made the business dinner enjoyable!

Anita was AWESOME as always. Anita was Very attentive and professional, I look for her whenever I come to this hotel! The food and drinks were spot on. The salmon is consistently cooked perfectly, never dry. I even ordered an extra salmon dinner for my lunch tomorrow.

It was my anniversary of 20years. Hotel was nice and we got some warm cookies and waters from Tanisha. She was all smiles and looks like she enjoys her job. We stayed in a suite which was very nice. Tanisha gave us a complimentary upgrade because of our anniversary. That was very sweet of her we appreciated her for doing that. She has amazing service.

I stayed at this hotel because of my friends. It was a great choice. Tanisha gave us some good recommendations for restaurants and local attractions. The lobby is beautiful. Tanisha said rooms will be renovated as well can’t wait to come back and see.
