When you first arrive at this place, you'll find a mixed design of something from Morocco and the 1980's. It is a long hotel with the elevators at one end and the room expanding from there. You will be doing some walking when you go to your rooms. The hotel is aged and could use an update, but the room are very large including the king bedroom.
There seems to be a full-service restaurant on site with a mall across the street with lots of local and chain places to eat and shop. The elevator is a bit confusing as the lobby is on the second floor and now where the usual starred floor is indicated. The room was well appointed, but the clock was still displaying daylight time it was three weeks from when we had adjusted our clocks. The fan was very noisy and worked well, but I couldn't find a way to just keep the room temp constant with the fan blowing all the time. The room had a big window across the wall that faced the parking lot and mall.
The place was clean, the bathroom was laid out well, but the toilet is old school and flushed let's say, lightly. There were plenty of soaps and towels. A mini refrigerator was available along with a small microwave. I did receive that Doubletree cookie, but it was old and hard, not at all fresh.
Parking was plentiful along the edges of the hotel, not too much of a walk. There is no charge for parking, which this location just about 15 minutes from Los Anageles, is a major costs savings. There was no valet parking.
I found the location good as I was going to see Elton John at Dodger Stadium and was there and parked within 30 minutes. (Note, I did leave around 2 hours before showtime.) Located on Highway 60 this freeway connects to many others, and you can get around quickly, when traffic allows.
Apparently, this location used to have both smoking and non-smoking as the Hilton app showed both when I was selecting a room. But now it claims to be all non-smoking.
This is a good property for a California visit if you are going to be in the central Los Angeles communities of activities.

I reserved a function room plus hotel rooms, the rooms smells cigarette and never kept up the rooms. Outdated, lightbulb out in the bathroom. Wifi doesn't work, limited parking due to events. Great location.

It was ok. Not as good as it used to be. You no longer get the cookies with your stay. Breakfast is $16 per person. No room service. And no remote to the tv. When I tried calling front desk I couldn’t get a hold of anyone.

I have written about this hotel chain various time before and I will continue to do so only because they are the Best Hotel Chain. I look at them as a business partner because of them taking care of me I’m able to do what I need to with my clientele and that to me is worth more than anything else. In business you are only as good as you are able to keep your clients happy and Hilton makes it super easy for me to keep my clients very happy. Thanks again to all the staff at this Doubletree in Rosemead location for all your courteous and professional help. I’ll be back real soon

Stayed 2 nights while in the area on personal business & it appears this is a property that is being flogged by ownership. Burned out &/or missing light bulbs in both the room & bathroom, broken desk chair-I don’t understand how any of this could have been missed by housekeeping unless management wanted it missed. Interestingly the housekeepers have real glass glasses on their carts for the rooms but don’t actually put them in the room, which I also don’t understand. Dining options and hours listed on the website not accurate & never did figure out what the real hours of operation were. No pens/paper/laundry bags in the room. But the ‘best’ part is the motion detector installed in the bathroom for the overhead light that would come on in the middle of the night by itself! Was not unhappy to leave.

Upon arrival our room reeked of smoke. There was no shower curtain and the toilet and shower was leaking. They only gave us 2 towels and it took hours for our crib to arrive. Couldn’t sleep because the shower kept dripping loudly. We called 2 times for them to bring a shower curtain but by the time we came back to the room at 10pm it still was not installed. Would not recommend at all.

Before I arrive at the hotel, I called and spoke to a lady, I asked for an upgrade because I want my mother to experience a room that has a whirlpool which is the reason I chose to stay here again.. She said "No we don't have that" but I have Junior Suite for you. I arrived at the hotel on 02/04 at 7pm, the person who checked me in was the same lady I spoke over the phone. I knew only because when I tried to ask for the same room with whirlpool she said "I already talked to you and give you an upgrade" She wasn't welcoming, very cold, unfriendly and unapproachable. The whole check in process was robotic and it feels like she didn't want us to be here in the hotel. When I asked for the hours of the pool she shut me off by saying "it's in your key packet" I still have some questions but I didn't want to talk to her anymore so I asked my girlfriend instead. Her attitude towards me and my mother VS my girlfriend is totally different. I'm actually more shook, more concerned and not pleased with the way we we're treated upon check in. Very POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Arrived with a dead roach in my room, brushed it off cuz most hotels have some sort of roach issue. Last night of my stay the AC went out. Called multiple times to the front desk, maintenance personnel was tied up on other issues with AC units going out. The response I got from the front desk was there was nothing they could do, “all sold out” unable to change rooms however the parking lot is quite empty. Room got up to 81 degrees, so much for a restful stay.

I traveled to the area for business. Traveling alone as a woman, I felt very safe and comfortable in this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful and offered free toothpaste when I realized I had forgotten mine at home. I would definitely stay here again.

I booked 2 rooms for my parents and I for a night in Rosemead to visit nearby family. Our rooms seem a bit older and worn; some ripped wall paper, older bathroom hardware with grit and rust. But we overall had a comfy night of rest, considering the value for my family and I. The shower worked, was hot, decent pressure. Our toilet’s flush mechanism was a little weak.. but it works.

Rosemead Hilton also booked our family’s rooms on the same floor, right next to each other, which we appreciated!

I’m so happy to have received exceptional service from Bill- our customer service rep for the morning of check out. We originally had a reservation for 1 night, but needed an additional night on short notice. Bill was able to help us book another night on short notice on the morning of check-out WITHOUT having to move my parents out of the current room they were originally in.

As a new Hilton Honor Member, I’m very pleased with our stay, the value and the service. Thanks for taking care of my parents Bill!

It is about 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the time of day and day of the week. Midweek is probably best. Use Waze to get there.

I think the hotel is renovating so as far as what other people said about rooms it could vary. I had an ok experience. I worked over in Monterey Park area about 10mins. away and there was nothing but ASIAN influence in that area. (google area around and north of Monterey Park Hospital). Almost all the signs were in lettering I could not read while trying to find the business I was visiting! Many I saw were Hong Kong I believe but that may not be all of what is there. There is a big oriental supermarket near the post office so you could probably get some advice about restaurants.

The renovations seem to be finished and the new section of the hotel is beautiful. However they did not seem to update the older sections of the hotel. If you stay here I recommend you request a room in the newer section of the hotel.
