Pros: Very comfy bed. Nice room layout. Convenient location (walk to grocery stores)
Parking availability is okay, with extra space on basement level. For COVID, breakfast is delivered to the bedrooms.

Cons: Offered "hot breakfast" but only served hot items which contain pork products. Had no cereal available. Non-smoking room smelled strongly of weed. Poor quality TV (low res image and color made it hard to watch).

I advise bringing disinfectant wipes with you and cleaning surfaces yourself. The toilet seat was not perfectly clean in my room but was fine after I cleaned it myself.

I was very pleased with my recent stay at the Greentree inn in pasadena. It was located in a great location next to restaurants and shops. They did not have the breakfast buffet open, but actually delivered a hot breakfast that we ordered the night before. Actually enjoyed having it delivered directly to the room over having to go to the buffet room. Rooms were very clean, quiet, and quiet large. Rooms were newly renovated and had hard wood flooring instead of carpet, which is a huge plus. front desk staff was very helpful, prompt, and very friendly. Will DEFINITELY be returning to this location in the future, and recommending to anyone staying in Pasadena.

First, let me say that we would not hesitate to go back there again.

Why only three stars, you ask?

One of our rooms was not made up when we entered it.
They use a really strong cleaning agent that made us have to air the room out every morning.
Both bedside outlets did not work and, after saying someone would look at them, still not working.
The bathroom door has a really annoying creak when it slooooooooooowly, swung closed.
Showerhead sprayed everywhere.
Coffee pot did not work.

At the end of the day, the location was great, staff was friendly, and the room was otherwise comfortable and clean, so if you get a good deal, have no fear.

I Arrived to Pasadena Ca. And Green tree Pasadena was the first hotel with available rooms, I was properly greeted by "FATIMA" And she was such a wonderful host from the time I walked into the lobby She showed me so much concern about my well being until I was in my comfort zone. Great job with your hired staff. She truly displayed how a guest should be treated.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I've stayed here a few times and thought it was decent
for a motel so I booked it again for this visit. A HUGE
mistake! This place has gone downhill since I was last
here. They charge for parking and additional charges
upon checking in. I had a long flight and didn't want to
ask what the charges were for. Housekeeping is not a
regular service you have to call ahead to get your room
cleaned. Maybe it's due to Covid but I just thought it's
such a hassle so never bothered.
Bathroom had mold and there was a dead spider on
the ceiling that was squashed and wasn't even
removed. The ceiling's drywall in the shower was
peeling off. The room had red nail polish or paint on the
floor.
The place smelled of weed, it came through the vents
and you can smell it outside. On top of that, I wasn't
able to get any decent sleep because music was
blasting from a car at 2-3am for over an hour for my
entire stay and staff didn't do anything about it.
The front desk employee was very rude, a middle aged
Latino man. I asked for a parking pass and a do not
disturb sign, he was annoyed I asked such a thing. I also
reported that the tv wasn't working, he said to unplug
and plug back in, he was just very rude and unhelpful.
told him that didn't work and he said he come by to
look at it. He never showed up. Because of Covid, no
breakfast was being served it was in a brown paper
bag at the front desk. I asked is this breakfast, he didn't
even acknowledge me. I said thank you and no
response. This man was so unfriendly and extremely
rude. Why work in hospitality if you're just going to have
attitude with guests. I'm never staying here again. I
would give it no rating if I could!

This hotel is affordable, conveniently located near the metro station, and offers free parking. All three people at the front desk were helpful and nice. The breakfast is good and a nice convenience. My main complaint is with housekeeping. The room had a bad smell when we walked in. We tried opening the windows to get rid of it, but it only helped a little. Most of the refillable, "tamperproof" toiletries in our room were empty. The hand soap was empty and had one of the refillable bottles of shower gel next to it on the sink, not locked up to use instead. If these bottles are regularly just left unlocked on counters when housekeeping doesn't feel like filling the locked ones, how can anyone trust that they haven't been tampered with? Luckily, we brought our own toiletries, but if housekeeping isn't doing a basic task like refilling toiletries between guests, it does make you wander what other basic cleaning tasks are being ignored between guests that leads to weird smells. This would be a 5-star review if I wasn't left wondering.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights, arriving before 3PM. A nice receptionist checked my driver’s license, processed the credit card payment and issued the key card which had the wifi code. We parked in their nice basement lot and took the elevator to the 2nd floor.
Room #221 was in the back and quiet, spacious with a comfortable king across a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The large TV had many channels(difficult screen guide), desk with outlets & chair, decent lighting, lower window AC with temperature control, blackout window screen and good secure WIFI. The fully outfitted bathroom(slow drain/odd sprayer) had a tub shower and separate sink area, both with good hot water. Room service on request and I swam in the clean pool, shaded after 4PM.
The 6:30 AM breakfast buffet was serviced & filling; Juice, bananas/apples, fruit loops/corn flakes with milk, scrambled eggs, hash browns, biscuits & gravy, oatmeal, yogurt, breads/muffins and 3 coffees.
This was a perfect location for our Pasadena area visit with a superb Whole Foods supermarket across the street, 1 block to the Del Mar Station and 6 blocks to the Norton Simon Museum.

I've stayed here several times previously. Simple motel that has a pool and usually a free breakfast in an upper patio area. But for now, breakfast is a grab bag and not very alluring. So either opt for take out or find a breakfast place in town. The room does have a microwave and small fridge and there are a couple of larger grocer chains right nearby. So bringing grocery purchases back shouldn't be a problem. The rooms don't offer much in terms of comfy furnishings and the lighting level is a little dull; but the point of this motel group is to be efficient at a minimal level. The metro rail is across the way and very functional for getting to downtown LA. Pasadena Old Town is easily walkable. And there are several posh restaurants right down Arroyo Parkway. Most parking on site is free. Ask when you arrive.

The dirtiest hotel I’ve ever been. The toilets were dirty, the rooms, smell like dust, and urine. We requested a room change and the guy to seemed to be the owner based on his huge gold chains, did exchanged, he went up to see the original room and we bumped into him he said it’s not urine it’s the chemicals they use to clean. Sorry but I worked with homeless population for 15 years I know the smell of urine. As we were walking away he said without thinking we would hear him, you have to be Fn kidding me!!! We just walked away, because not only did the hotel was bad but his customer service was terrible. My advice don’t stay here specially if you have kids, 3 of my coworkers and I got sick after we left…

So, I have been here now about 3 times with my girlfriend for weekend getaways and each time I come to stay, Gabriel greets us at the front desk. Out of all hotels I have been at, this guy makes us feel the most comfortable, unrushed and welcome, with assurance that our stay is always problem free.
The way he carries himself, you'd think he was a manager lol And right away asks us if we need breakfast in the morning.
I told him that this is now our go to hotel, even more than Marriot or Holiday Inn, because of the amazing customer service and comfortable vibe we receive. Thanks for being different than the rest!
