We had tickets to see the decorated floats (day after parade). This hotel had a perfect location as it was right across the street from Pasadena City College, which is where they take you by shuttle bus to see the floats. Front desk staff was very nice. Our rooms were clean. A little musty. Decent sized refrigerator. Sink area and bathrooms were very clean. We had six people total sharing 2 connected queen rooms and we had plenty of space. Parking lot is small but fortunately for the night that we stayed, it wasn’t crowded. The continental breakfast was just ok but they did have fruit, yogurt, cup o noodles (a hit with my teen kids) and a waffle maker. It’s close to Huntington Gardens, which is where we went after checking out and then heading home. Overall for 1 night it was a decent stay at a good price.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a double room. The room size was great, but the toilet was loose from the floor, in a location that doesn't really work with kids. The lift was being repaired (in the middle of the morning) so people were waiting and there was no signage anything was being done. The parking lot was small but we managed to find a parking. The breakfast is the same every day and the waffles are probably the best item of choice. Laundry facilities on the floor was great, but needed change which was quite a mission to get. Area not great at night outside of hotel. Lots of homeless people around and didn't feel particularly safe after 9pm..

I used my check card to reserve the room, but when i arrived i found out I needed a credit card to actually book it and my passport was not considered an acceptable id. I had to come up with $200 in cash to stay in the room and one of my teenagers had to use her id because i don't have a credit card or drivers licence. No where, when I reserved the room was i told about these rules and had i not been able to come up with the alternatives i would not have had a room and been out of luck for the night with two teenage girls. The staff was nice but were following rules not made clear. It was very frustrating. Someone else checking in when we were had to also put $200 down because they did not have a credit card. Who does not accept a US passport as as ID?????

Don’t be fooled by the photo of pool! It is small. Can probably fit a few kids in it and no place to lounge. Doors in room in disrepair. Small refrigerator makes horrific sound. Doors squeak. Shower - clean. Had to run a disinfectant wipe around refrigerators, micro, tv controls. Lobby had tv on loud with some reality show. Annoying when you first arrive and unwelcoming! Take care of your places Wyndham!!

Hello all, I want to let families know that if you have more than 4 in your family that you will not be welcomed to stay as our family wasnt. We had 2 adults and 3 children. I cannot leave my kids unattended and still young enough to stay all in the same room. We had reserved 2 bed and let the reservation agent know our family size but when we arrived the front desk person wasnt the best at customer service and ultimately said we could not stay there. There were no alternatives provided just that we had too many in our family for the capacity of the room. Sorry families but do not recommend if you have small kids and you are more than 4.

If cleanliness and maid service is important to you, don’t stay here during the pandemic. I’ve stayed at this motel many times in the past and was quite pleased. Leo, the manager, is terrific. Perhaps the issues I experienced with the lack of cleanliness particularly in the bathroom but also with dusty surfaces in the bedroom would have been met with more concern and abject horror if he had been on duty. But the on duty desk clerks told me no maid service would be available for an 11 night stay, and the prospect of having to change the linens and make my own bed did not sit well with this weary international traveler. I checked out and moved to the motel across the street where there is daily maid service available and the room was spotless.

My company uses a debit card for funds and expenses. This hotel was book and prepaid, upon checking in after a long flight I was told their policy is with debit cards to hold and charge $250.00 on the card for incidentals. They do not have room service or anything that could be charged to the room, is I am confused what the charge is for - nor is this policy in writing or on their web_site. I feel, this is a cycle of using my money and holding it for 3-5 days without paying me interest! When ask about it, I was informed that is policy and speak with whomever booked the room.

The outside of the “Hotel” is more like a classic roadside motel than a hotel. Doors that open right into a parking lot with limited parking.

You are required to have a permit on your dash to park there. The pool is tiny, and we didn’t use it.

The place didn’t have trash, but it looked very run down.

The inside is a bit better than the outside. Pretty standard hotel room, everything worked but again seemed well used.

The beds where lumpy and uncomfortable. The shower was hot but the pressure was low and used a fixed shower head.

The soaps and shampoo provided looked extremely cheep.

The drawers looked to be in new condition except they got stuck opening and closing.

The tv had lots of channels but was small.

The breakfast is bare. They had your standard bread case, apples, bananas, and some cereal. The only hot item was hard boiled eggs, which they only had 2 left 30 mins prior to breakfast closing, I ask if they had more and they said no. They where overcooked anyway and uneatable.

We ended up going to Millies cafe which I highly recommend, had both vegan and gluten-free options.

They have signs everywhere about Covid protocols but no one was enforcing or following them.

It is across the street from a really nice looking library and has a ton of stores and restaurants in walking distance

Bad guest services! Rooms smelled musty, No WiFi, I called front desk he gave me a 1-800 number to call to get WiFi. I called and they were no help. I decided to leave and stay at another hotel. I wouldn’t recommend and I definitely will not be coming back.

I've stayed here before. But this is my first stay during this Covid situation. Seems like they have refurbished the interiors pretty well, though there's little they can do to fix up the outside areas. This is an older, route 66 type motel across from PCC and behind that, CalTech. Parking can be cramped and you'll get a sticker to place on your dash for the length of your stay. There is no overnight street parking in this section of Pasadena except with a special use permit, obtainable on-line. The location is on Colorado Boulevard maybe a long mile from the strip of trendy shops and restaurants and Old Town beginning at Fair Oaks. You can walk, but the first quarter mile or so will be pretty scummy. Once you get to Lake, things around you will seem more comfy. As far as the rooms go, as I said, they have been re-done to a more contemporary style. Actually I had 2 mini-fridges as well as a microwave. I did make use of these. Breakfast is takeaway for now; but you can pick your own choices. As an added touch they have ramen noodles. Don't reserve here if you are ill; there will be a temperature check on arrival. The motel is 4 stories and has one elevator. The nearest Metrorail is at Allen Street, maybe a 15 minute walk. But there is a bus stop just west of the motel entry for downtown as well as for Hollywood.

Room Tip: There is an elevator so choose an upper floor to avoid the vehicle parking on the ground level.
