Hotel's Favourite
Busy hotel and excellent service when a particular housekeeping issue arose. The staff, across the board, were accommodating, professional, gracious, and seemed to be genuinely concerned that guests were satisfied with any aspect of their stay. Just another of many favorable Hyatt visits, and reasons why my entire family views Hyatt as the most reliable and dependable hotel properties of all major brands.

This hotel is gorgeous! Everything is top notch. The rooms, the service, the ambience, the pools, the gym, the restaurant, the meeting rooms - just above my expectations and I didn't want to leave! All of the Staff treat you like royalty. I love this place!

Construction noise, slamming doors, poor and expensive parking condition, no charger that could be borrowed, no tooth paste either (I test hotels on that all the time). Bottom line, once you pay taxes, resort fee and parking you add more than 50% to the already elevated room rate. Don't do that.

Nice, clean refurbished older property in nice location. Unfortunately the noise level from being older property was very bad. We could clearly hear people in next room and out in hallway. Also very loud noise from people walking in room above ours.

This was a super kid-friendly hotel, with three pools, and a giant chess board and other outdoor games. We’ve also stayed at the Hyatt in Huntington, and that one is fancier, but this one is more casual and still super nice! I loved that we could just text to order food right to the pool deck. It’s a perfect place to stay with small kids, and it’s pretty central if you’re bopping around Orange County like we were—we did a Disney day and then visited some friends in Dana Point, and it wasn’t too far from anything. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because of construction. We will definitely stay again.

Hotel room, grounds and staff were exceptional. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant lunch was fantastic. We enjoyed sitting around the firepit in the evening (and loved the offer of making s'mores). Location felt private and resort-like (including complimentary bikes and golf) but conveniently located close to many restaurants. Easy access to the surrounding area.

this hotel is rundown- desperately needs a makeover - everything in the room is old, ripped up, there were bugs! I stayed in a few rooms and they were all bad - GM, if it’s the same one, needs to focus on her hotel not the people who have legitimate complaints. Rooms smelled like mold - it reminds me of a 70’s motel at the Jersey shore - some staff were nice while others didn’t want to be there. Just an fyi - as a Globalist, I have spent tens of thousands of dollars staying at Hyatts

We loved that we could walk to Balboa Island. The beds were comfortable. Don’t accept a room by the Giant Chess Board as inconsiderate guests let their screaming young children use it as a playground starting at 6 am and many were crying constantly as well. Then once it got dark, teenagers took it over as a volleyball court. So if you see that outside your room, you should bring ear plugs or ask to switch locations!! We didn’t think many people would use it but it was constantly occupied by multiple families.

Hyatt Regency Newport Beach is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Newport Beach. The hotel offers a cozy and comfortable environment, and it is conveniently located. I stayed at the hotel with my family in may this year, and we all had a highly satisfying experience during our stay.
