Lido House is lovely in a very painstaking let's make it beach-y sort of way. It's light, airy, and I found it loud. I did not appreciate the trash trucks at 0 dark thirty early morning as they rattled and beeped their way around (Although I celebrate the people who work the trucks). The beds are very nice and the room was comfortably furnished. I did not like having to hunt for towels which were stored in the closet. I found the bathtub/shower arrangement odd. There is one knob to control the hand held, the tub, and the shower head but there are no markings to indicate which way to turn it. There is a hinged bench which just seemed to be in the way. The morning staff at reception was pleasant and helpful. We checked in sort of late because our plane was late and I did not find staff friendly, helpful, or informative. …

My husband and I used Bonvoy points to stay one night while visiting our daughter for her birthday. I will never pay the rate to stay here-it's not worth it. The good: comfortable bed, nice shower and bath products, robes, etc. Great location. Charming theme and friendly staff. The bad: the hotel is surrounded by traffic, is not on the beach but several blocks away. Our room (226) is right next to the elevator with a view of the parking lot which was 72,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for one night! The room needs a little attention-baseboards need painting, coffee machine doesn't work. The location worked out great for our visit, but would think twice about staying again due to lack of either value or luxury.

Absolutely would recommend!! We'll definitely be coming back! We are locals, but stayed 1 night because our place is having work done and it was my birthday. First thing I want to say is, JOSHUA (from the front desk) IS AMAZING! If you are reading this and work at Lido House as Joshua's boss, PLEASE give that man a promotion! He deserves to run that place honestly. He was amazing at checking us in at the front desk and was so attentive and literally made our stay superior. The rest of the staff that we interacted with was also very nice, but Joshua especially stood out. We ate at the restaurant downstairs and it was delicious and they gave me free cake for my birthday. It wasn't very crowded because it was a Tuesday, so I feel like you only need a reservation if it's a weekend or holiday. Lido House is also extremely close to a lot of amazing things! The grocery store is right across the street and there's plenty of restaurants, bars, fun things to do, and the beach is in walking distance! I literally have nothing bad to say about this place. If you go in, definitely cross your fingers that Joshua is working though because he literally made the stay a millllion times better. The room was also nice! The bathroom was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be. The bed was SO comfortable and they even have Netflix on the TV. Perfect for a work trip, date night, or bigger celebration.…

#1 hotel in Orange County! We just returned home to Denver recharged and refreshed after an amazing birthday weekend for my wife. My wife even brought home some design inspiration based on the amazing job they did designing Lido House. Our three kids had an amazing time and created lifelong memories. We arrived early from SNA to learn our room was ready to go upon checkin (benefits of arriving on Thursday vs. Friday). I knew we were in good hands because the hotel did a great job connecting prior to arrival to cover itinerary and anything we may need throughout our stay. As a parent of 3 the list was quite long but Lido House took care of it all. The crib was in the room upon arrival and we were blown away by the personalized amenities for the kids. Something as small as a kids book with their names labeled on each one goes a long way (HUGE thank you to Rory and his team for this!) I was very impressed with the guest relations team at Lido House and when Hannah came out to say hello to the kids and introduce herself when we checked in, I knew we were right where we belong. The front desk team was very kind throughout our stay, Melissa and Josh, thank you! Josh even went as far as asking about any pets we left at home and gave us a fun bandana to take home for Sunny to wear this summer. Maria Lucy, our housekeeper throughout our stay, bless her heart. She was the sweetest and works so hard. We walked over to the beach each day to play with the sand toys the team provided our kids each day and I couldn't believe how close the beach was. Our server in the restaurant, Rico was a delight each morning we dined for breakfast. Exactly like no place else he explained. That motto stuck with us and as we returned home we reflected on all the great memories and it truly was exactly like no place else. Kevin and Chase assisted with our bags upon arrival and with departure as well. They were always available and provided a friendly welcome back upon each return. One last shoutout.. TODAYO! Todayo saw us on the fourth floor in the heat of three kids eager to get out of the hotel room and over to the beach. It wasnt until we were at the stoplight we heard a familiar voice, Todayo was there with a sticker book for the kids along with a smile and a reminder to have a great day. Overall just a tremendous stay.. The service, the amenities, the location, the complimentary bikes, the pool.. Everything was perfect and we cannot wait to return soon. Rory, thank you! This hotel is actually part of the Bonvoy program which is surprising considering their audacity of defrauding people that do not catch their surprise bait and switch rate increases. On top of this, their managers hide in the back room leaving their front desk staff powerless. I have stayed here many times and after what I encountered today will never return. On top of this I am seeing if Hilton or Hyatt will status match my ambassador status with Bonvoy. The management is very rude and uses an accusatory tone contradicting what their front desk staff say. Further they only correspond via the Bonvoy chat function as they cannot be bothered while sitting in the back room. You can't make up how ridiculous this is. I'm just happy I caught the $150.00 plus room upcharge that I was almost scammed by.…

Had a free night certificate expiring with Marriott and decided that the best use of it would be redeeming it at Lido House. While not an oceanfront property, it’s close by and the hotel runs a beach shuttle that’s covered by the destination fee. Reward stays are unfortunately still on the hook for the fee. We parked in the residential neighborhood across the street to save on the valet fee and didn’t have any problems. The nautical theme pervaded the entire property. We encountered cozy sitting areas on the second floor decorated with multi-story length ropes. Room and bath were fine. Connecting room doors were the usual problem and let in guest noise. Still can’t figure out why so many properties embrace them to a such a large extent. They create more problems than they solve. The curtains were blackout but were missing a valence to keep the light out. Shout out to Rick at the Mayor’s Table restaurant. We usually avoid on property establishments but visited the restaurant to use the $30 voucher we received for Platinum status in the Marriott Bonvoy program. Food was absolutely top notch and not to be missed. Very much enjoyed the egg white omelette and the pancakes. Definitely not the usual Marriott breakfast here. Service at the rooftop bar was excellent as were the cocktails. Will return to Lido House and definitely prefer it over the Ritz Carlton Laguna Beach (actually in Dana Point).…

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. After COVID and a noticeable lack of customer service across all areas (understandable, pay your workers!) it was so refreshing to come to LIDO House and have the level of customer service we experienced. From our check-in with Cory which included beignets and croissants, to a plate of cookies and hats waiting for us in the room (it was my birthday that day), it was all a flawless experience. Everyone we interacted with from the valets to the trolley driver to the front desk clerks, was so kind, welcoming, and professional. The hotel itself was spotless and well-maintained, in fact so shiny that we wondered if it was built recently. The outside has gorgeous landscaping, and the inside is designed with nautical artyness that inspired us every time we walked inside. It's just a gorgeous hotel. Our room was perfect. While the pool is a bit basic, with the ocean just a short (free) trolley ride away, it didn't really matter. Everything is within walking distance: we highly recommend Fable and Spirit for dinner and drinks and Hearst for morning coffee and delicious pastries, Malibu Farm for lunch, Wild Taco for a cheap lunch, and Hook and Ladder for a heaping plate of fish and fries. I had my friend's birthday party at the amazing roof top. The service was amazing, and the view was incredible. Very friendly staff. The rooms were amazing with a cape cod style that really made the experience feel like living at the beach.

The location and meeting space of the Lido House made our annual meeting for 60 people one of the most favored events. The proximity to restaurants, the oceanfront, the marina, a grocery store, two coffee shops, and shopping was ideal for attendees to enjoy their time outside of meetings. The various conversation areas in the lobby's lounge, the Mayor's Table and rooftop bar suited my group well. The nautical theme created bright, fun rooms. The Boathouse Ballroom was very open and spacious for hosting successful meetings. Staff was responsive. The weather was a tad chilly for our outdoor meals, but the heat lamps, available blankets and addition of indoor table options made it all manageable and fun. This will be the meeting venue to beat.
