My wife and I took a newly retired “bucket list” trip to LA to visit Dodger Stadium and being a Hilton Honors Club member decided to book 3 nights @ H2S Montebello. Situated on a golf course that is closed for major renovations the area around the hotel is underwhelming however being located a short drive from Dodger Stadium outweighed any shortcomings.

Best decision ever! The staff @ this hotel were the most professional, most courteous group of hotel employees we have ever encountered! Everyone from the front desk to the breakfast staff, housekeeping, hotel maintenance and security personnel made our stay simply amazing!

This Hilton Home 2 Suites is in very capable hands and management should be extremely proud of such wonderful employees!

Thank you ALL!

This hotel was used as our home for a visit to Disneyland, Universal Studios and Knotts. Each was about a 30 minute drive with minimal traffic. There were no major problems with our stay. We used the Hilton Mobile app for check in and a digital key, but they gave us a different room than requested. The location isn't the greatest, but they do have security onsite and a guard shack for incoming vehicles entering the road the hotel is on. The road leads to the other Hilton property located up the hill, the golf course and a venue type hall with concerts, parties and weddings. The guard shack was manned half the time. So it's more for show than actual security.

The hotel itself is nice. The room was new and clean.

As mentioned in a lot of posts the breakfast is a little chaotic. If you get there before 8:00am you will have no issues, but from 8:00am to 9:00am it gets really crowded. They have microwaveable fritattas, omelettes and sandwiches. They have breads and toasters and a couple waffle makers. Coffee was available early in the morning before breakfast service. It is located by the bar.

Room tip would be that though you get a room with a view you also get a room with extra noise if you select a "lake view" room. The lake view rooms face the street used to enter the hotel and there is more traffic than you think there would be.

Overall a nice hotel and centrally located. If visiting multiple destinations in LA this is a good choice.

My family and I stayed at This hotel for 7 nights. Room was ok, space, light and great view to the golf court. Breakfast included is a plus! croissants, oatmeal, fruit, coffee, bagels, omelette to eat in your room. Business center very good with printer and a separate space where I had sone virtual meetings.

Carpet on my room had stains and bad smell. I was with allergy my whole stay. Because this is a pet friendly hotel (I love dogs) dogs barked all day and night. My floor was full of fogs even I had no dog wirh me. Pet friendly rooms should be on certain floors and guests witj dogs should be accomodated only on those floors innorfer not to bother other guests with barks.

Room cleaning was really bad, our room was cleaned once and table was still with food stains, crumbles. It seems they just change towels and linens. Cleaning ladies were not friendly st all, when I ask them for toilet paper they told me to call front desk and ask for the toilet paper.

Location is good, not to far from downtown.

I originally booked this hotel for the suite features but probably should have read closer the features. The suite is large but the bath was a little small. The kitchen consisted of a refrigerator, sink and microwave. Very similar to Townesuites but it did the job for us on this trip.

Other unusual features were the open closet and a very long desk for spreading out work or organizing lots of stuff before moving your daughter into their dorm.

Our room faced the back parking lot and golf course so it was quiet. The front of the hotel is far back from the freeway so sound should not be an issue for any room.

They do serve breakfast but you have to specify what you want (max one item per category) and they hand it to you in a paper bag. Hot food was a breakfast wrap (not good). The fruit, cereal and milk was the better choice. They pumped too much coffee creamer into my coffee so be specific how many up front. I suggest seriously going out for breakfast.

The gym was nicely equipped and a redeeming feature for the poor breakfast. There was enough treadmills and ellipticals for multiple users as well as a complete set of dumbbells. A filtered water dispenser was convenient. The only noise came from the laundry room which was located inside a separate room (no door) to the gym.

Other features were an outside pool, nice lobby with ample seating and tables (for breakfast) and decorated in their bright colors. A small market also on site. Being next to a golf course would be convenient for golfers. Lastly the guard shack at the entrance for the complex was just for show as I only saw a person sitting in their once for less than an hour.

A good first time stay that could improve with a better breakfast.

Lots of things were not to standard.
At checkin I was asked about room cleaning, I told them yes, on Friday.
While entering our room, our toilet paper and paper towel rooms looked more than half used? I guess that’s ok, but with covid and the upscale standards of a Hilton hotel, I just wasn’t expecting a used roll. Either way, on Thursday night while returning to the hotel after a long day as a tourist in Los Angeles, I stopped by the front desk and spoke to a black gentlemen, I asked for more toilet paper as we had very little left, I also enquired about the cleaning for tomorrow, he stated it would be around noon. I thanked him and waited for toilet paper. Fast forward to the morning, and still no delivery. We ended up using facial tissue and paper towels from the kitchen, I then called the front desk to request it again. We decided to go down to the pool and hang out while our room was scheduled to be cleaned. At around 2 I returned to the room and to my surprise, well not really at this point. It was wasn’t cleaned. I went down to the front desk only to find out, that room cleaning was never scheduled. They offered to send a lobby attendant to “pick things up”, I laughed and said never mind, I can pick up my own things. I expressed my disappointment to the lady on for it to fall on deaf ears. A lot of other little things just kept accumulating our negative stay; slow connection with wifi, they sent up a employee who had no idea what he was doing, trying to fix our wifi. The pull out couch cushions were torn and worn, very gross. The shower door leaked and didn’t have proper sealant, so the bathroom floor after every shower was a small pool. They failed to grant me Hilton honors points because I booked third party and not directly with them. The fire pit didn’t work, the lady said she will have her “engineer” come look at it, he never showed up. Looks like I will not be returning to that place again as it was a over priced “motel” after all. Save your money; the no stove, just a microwave and a fridge, which both I’ve seen inside a cheap motel.

Dirty rooms used toilet paper. Used dish soap and dish sponge. The sofa bed was super dirty full of crumps and trash. Was one of the worst experiences I have had with a Hilton hotel. We did get another room but the dish soap and sponge was also used in that one toilet paper was not used in that one. But soca bed and floors were really dirty.

I was surprised at the resort feel this hotel has. Very chic and modern and the staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and perfect. The indoor pool was so much fun for late evening swims with the family. Kitchenette was very user friendly and bathrooms had perfect lighting.

Staff was friendly, however there were dirty dishes and the bathroom should have been cleaner, both the sink and shower were not properly cleaned. Dishes and silverware were also dirty in the room. Breakfast was not great. They were missing basic items like milk and plates, I ordered an omelet and it was literally placed in a brown lunch bag.

This hotel is great for a long stay, the 1 bedroom suite is comfortable and parking is complimentary. There's a reasonably sized kitchen and a huge bathroom. The front desk people were nice. The huge pain point at this property is the cleanliness/maintenance. Starting with the smoke alarm beeping every hour presumably for battery running low, dishwasher didn't rinse well so everything came out dirty, showerhead and shower floor had mold, cookware and cutlery were dirty, there was a hole in a blanket, etc. The location is ok, although there aren't many healthy options of restaurants nearby.

Location was good, plenty of snacks/drinks in the lobby and security measures. However, the cleanliness of the bathrooms could improve a lot. There was hair in the drain in our first room, they were very nice and moved us to another room but there was still black mold in the grout of the shower as well as the sink bowl. Towels are also super tough and stiff, and the bed/pillows are not the most comfortable. Overall an okay stay but for the price there’s lots of room for improvement. Checkout/check in was super easy and convenient and parking on site is free!

The standard room was very nice as this hotel is new. You would think you were given a Diamond upgrade for this hotel level. I am a Diamond Member as well.
