Hotel's Favourite
this place is brilliant!!! It just felt like I had gone back to my childhood spending my vacations at St Pete's beach in Fl back in the 90's.
Property consists of four buildings and you are located dependant on your room type.
Staff are lovely and very welcoming - I got the impression it is a family run property and it just gave it that lovely vibe that they are happy you have chosen to stay.
Check in is at 3pm and check out is 11am. (it does clearly state upon check in that if you are late for check out they will charge you - I cant blame the property for this as they need to turn the room around for their next guests)
There is on site parking and dependant on your building your room is you may have undercover parking which is helpful especially in the height of Summer. Parking is $25 per day (as per Sept 2024). Personally a little steep in price, but again this is a beach location. Do make sure you place your parking card on your dashboard otherwise you may get a ticket.
We opted for the Premium Sea View room and it did not disappoint.
Granted that the place could do with a small refurb, such as new bed side tables and a lick of paint - but you are not here to spend all day in your room!
Good bathroom / do bring your own toiletries as the shampoos&soaps etc are small. large fridge, coffee peculator. Air Con. large TV and plenty of storage space.
Your room is cleaned every 3 days. If you need more towels, just ask the front office. You are located on the main road in and out of Manhattan beach - it can get very loud especially the young ones with their car engines so if you are a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you unless you are in a room located off the main road.
The beach is located about a five min walk - to get to the beach, you walk down a steep hill - walking back, especially when its hot is not easy. those with walking difficulties I suggest parking at the actual beach.
the main Manhattan beach street where there are plentiful restaurants/bars is a one mile walk along "The strand" beach front and what a lovely walk especially when the sun is setting. If you are staying during peak times or over the weekend - do make reservations for a table at the restaurants. There are a few restaurants/bars literally a 3min walk from the property. Sloopys across the road is lovely, there is also a pizza takeout which is great if you want a chill out night. Very popular breakfast places too. We sadly did not have time to visit these breakfast places, but if the locals go, you know its good.
Pool towels / beach towels / beach chairs / parasols / bucket and spades for the kids / bike hire - ALL FREE OF CHARGE AND COMPLIMENTARY!!! What beach property offers this to you?! not many...absolute bonus and a plus especially when you come for a long weekend and only have a carry on - no need to worry about beach towels. they just ask you to bring back the items by no later than 8pm and for the bike hire you can rent these for about 4hrs.
there is also an on site swimming pool - we did not use it as we spent out time at the beach but upon taking a look at the pool, the water was warm and very clean.
LAX airport is about a 20min drive (if that) local Target to get groceries is about a 10 min drive.
I would 100% stay here again and only wish I could have stayed longer.

+1
One of the iconic pastel painted Huts on the beach at Wells Next the Sea, hut 131 provides everything you could possibly need to enjoy a day watching the clouds float across the blue horizon. The vista is unending with Norfolk’s big sky and golden beach laid out as far as the eye can see. Accessories to dine, facilities to brew hot drinks, chairs and tables to create a beach chill out zone and of course games for the beach for the more energetic. Buckets and spades for sandcastle construction and somewhere cool to store the picnic. The hut is sited at the dog friendly end of Wells beach and has both drinking water pipe and toilet block within easy reach. With whale themed accessories and jolly bunting In the hut you really will have a perfect beach day.

The Sea View Inn has gotten it right, from the incredible location and views of Manhattan Beach to the down-home charm of vintage art, clean, cozy rooms with lovely views (even from the shower), balconies, and freshly ground coffee, to a heated pool, free use of cruiser bikes and beach gear, convenient parking, and impeccable service. This place has a futuristic-retro vibe that makes us want to return again and again. Meeting the owners was a true pleasure, as I had already been singing their praises to my Girlfriend before I realized who they were. We have both traveled extensively, and highly recommend the Sea View Inn.

The Sea View Inn is a classy and wonderfully well-located hotel in a really fun part of Manhattan Beach, right on the main boulevard and right above the beach. Easy stroll to fun restaurants and shops - we didn't use my car in the four days we stayed. The bungalow room is like a studio apartment, large and comfortable, with a full kitchenette. Also a nice back deck for private sunning or just hanging out, or having a little separate space for work or relaxation. They also handle the coronavirus crisis really well, with thorough cleanings between stays. We declined room service during our stay, just to be super careful, and it all worked out great. Very friendly and fun.

We stayed @ the Sea View Inn @ the Beach for 4 nights this month. Our room was on the 3rd floor above the office. It had a balcony with fantastic views of the ocean and sunset. The location on Highland Avenue is about a mile north of the Pier/Downtown MB but this is actually much better. This section is where the locals go and there are lots of good restaurants. We would highly recommend staying at the Sea View Inn and take advantage of the free beach cruisers. Warning - The 4 block hill to the beach is not for the faint of heart but it is super easy access to the beach. Enjoy!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and had booked a double queen bedroom after a long road trip on the west coast. We were looking for a place to relax and chill.
Location: The hotel rooms are not on the beach but a short distance down the street. There are no hotels on the beach in this posh area and this is the closest you can get with a hotel.
Manhattan beach is the absolute perfect location and gives you a great feeling of small town village. Super safe (one of the safest beaches close to LA) , clean and private. Everything is on the beach and cycling from one pier to the next is a delight.
Rooms: clean and as expected. Not the most specious but everything is there. 11am checkout was strict but we were alloyed to stay longer and use the pool and beach amenities (which was great)
Staff: overall very friendly. Our most interaction was with Eddy at night and he was super nice and helpful on every question and support. A perfect host.
Price: High price (compared to our road tip in the west) but not so bad for the area. The big plus is the beach access, privacy , amenities included (bikes, body boards,..) , safety and sense of private village.
100% recommend this hotel

This is truly a well kept little secret. Great location, nice clean units, and big enough for my wife and myself and our 5 adult kids. We will be going back often. There is also a trendy breakfast spot just a few doors down. You can walk the boardwalk, or use the bikes and boogie boards they provide for you.

Would not come back. Terrible customer service. Thin walls can hear people. Phone in hotel doesn't work. On a busy street so hear cars and garbage trucks. Terrible views just of buildings not really of sea.
Heater is very LOUD.
The staff is not wearing masks only when you enter room. Didn't feel very safe.

Ran into some issues with a nearby AirBnB, and the folks at The Sea View Inn were able to provide us with a great experience. Extremely helpful with locating us a room that we'd like and making our trip to Manhattan Beach that much better. Great location right next to good coffee and food spots. Highly recommended spot if you're visiting.
The bikes offered (for free) for riding along the beach are a great additional benefit too.

Pool is small. YES towels are provided at the front desk. .Rooms are clean , rooms size very on where located.I think they have many buildings. So I would definately talk to the front desk to see exactly where your room is located.Very friendly help.Enjoy your stay.
2bd/2bath has one king in master bedroom and 2 queens in second bedroom, then sofa sleeper in living room
Our room was near the road but we had no noise this hotel is really nice and we enjoyed our stay there.
Dear Guest,
You do see the ocean, just not a full ocean view as above you.
Dear Guest,
The Beach House Studio is a lower unit with no ocean view.
Here's the link from our website: then rooms and suites, apartments, beach-cottage-1-bedroom-lower.
Hope this helps.
