We stayed one night during our planned flight connection between Asia and South America. This hotel was a lifesaver. The location was convenient to the airport. When we couldn't figure out the faucet, a staff person immediately came and explained it to us. The top-floor breakfast—though expensive—was delicious and filling, and it gave us a great view by which to remember the city. That was something we appreciated especially because we were there for such a short time! The free hotel shuttle brought us a couple miles within the neighborhood so we could run errands, while the front desk held our bags. The hotel is tip-free, which made it easy, since we weren't carrying U.S. currency anyway.

We had searched for a location near UCLA and found this little gem of a hotel. The service is impeccable, Matt and Carlos at the front desk were so great. We checked in the last night the hotel restaurant was open due to CoVid19 so we were able to enjoy a delicious meal. The restaurant and bar are fabulous and offer room service with the same great quality of food during this time.

Our room was clean and comfortable, changing out the couches would be my only suggestion and perhaps a set of dresser drawers in the bedroom ( we stayed in the 2 room king suite ) so not sure if this is a problem in other rooms. Our shower was huge with a sitting area which fit our needs perfectly.

Anything we needed was seen to immediately. We are so happy here we will be staying here thru the appointments, surgery and recover time, we are required to stay close to UCLA for 2 months minimum. Make sure you sign up for Inner Circle they offer, free valet parking, 15% off food and beverages and other perks!!!!

The lobby coffee shop needs to increase their inventory and include sundries, microwaveable small meals and a larger selection of snacks, but they have a wine social every night so they get points for that.

Overall if you are looking for quality, clean, friendly accommodations book a room at Hotel Angeleno.

We stayed here during our tour of The States.
The location is ideal if you want access to Santa Monica and Venice Beach also Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Strip as Hotel Angeleno is an equal distance between both of those areas and only cost us around $20 to get to either.
The rooms were very nice, the staff were pleasant and helpful and the skip the tip policy made this leg of our trip a little easier on the wallet. Nice bar/Restaurant on the top floor is worth a visit for the views alone.
Oh and be sure to take advantage of the daily free wine hour in the hotel reception area!

My husband and I booked our first trip to la in order to spend New Years Eve with my bother who lives 30 minutes outside of la. our plan was not arriving to lax until 9:30pm on 12/31/20. so we decided to contact The Angeleno to inform of the late check in so that our room would be held until we arrived. i spoke with a represenitive named "Brandon". who assured me that this would be fine and that our "king city view suite" would be waiting on us once we arrived. after getting our baggage and the rental car, we arrived at The Angeleno arrived 10:45pm. we were informed by "Brandon" that our suite was no longer available and that all they had left was a twin double bed room. we we'er livid this was our first trip to la and our room had been given away that we called previously to ensure that it would be ready. my husband was so upset that Brandon cleaned a room that a guest had just checked out which took close to an hour. therefore we spent our NYE in the lobby of The Angeleno. not only that our 2nd day there the valet attendant lost the keys to our vehicle causing us to be late to the airport to pick up a family member. then after check i noticed a charge on my banking statement that shouldn't have been there being that we had already prepaid for our stay there. i called and spoke with the supervisor "Matthew who assured me that the charges would be refunded and we still have yet to see this refund. it was the worst experience ever....i would never stay here again nor would i recommend it to anyone else.

I can't comment on value because our stay was part of a package tour. The bus had to unload us on the street with everyone getting to the front dooor via a very steep driveway.
But after that, everything was great. Elevators are large and easily accessible, room keys are fun and creative (as a designer, I appreciated that). Our room was small but comfortable with everything we might need including a botlee of water. Each room has a balcony that you can actually stand on. So many hotels these days have windows that don't open, this was a nice surprise. There are two electric shades, one that lets the light in for privacy, and a blackout one for the night.
Beds are on the soft side but comfortable. You get 4 very comfy short pillows, nice for reading in bed. Plenty of towels, and easily adjustable heating/cooling. We were on the freeway side, but the noise was not a problem.
Great view, even from just the 6th floor. The best views are from the top of the building though, where the restaurant is located. Wonderful breakfast, great service (friendly but not intrusive) and the best coffee I've had in ages. There is free wine in the lobby in the early evening, and a small shop with snacks and ice-cream.
Everyone on staff was extrememly friendly, and the front desk was helpful in figuring out the wifi, which doesn't work exactly like the instructions tell you...
All in all, a very pleasnt stay.

We stayed in the hotel for two nights on 12/22-12/24. We found blood stains in two sheets , one was totally fresh which means the bed was not changed from previous guest!! The other stain was smaller, it was horrible! We slept one night in these sheets!!The front desk people were not nice, one said it is cranberry juice , which we felt it was a joke for him.
The next morning I asked for the manager who was not there so they sent me another guy who is in charge of the House keeping. He looked
like a nice guy and after long discussion he took off one night and promised to do more and call us ! We checked out and it has been 10 days after , never received any phone call , I tried to call his voice mail is full, sent an email to him which was never answered!!
It is pity because the hotel is nice and looks like a small nice place but until you check the beds...
I was waiting for the phone call that was promised to me or the answer to my email and feel that for them
It is probably something that is a regular complaint!
Would advise you to consider staying in this place!
By the way, we also found a dirty tissue on the floor for two days it was there...

Loved our stay here. The rooms were very clean, spacious and well decorated. We had a small balcony overlooking the motorway but it was quiet inside the room. The bathroom was lovely although the shower pressure could have been better. Check in was straightforward. We had everything we needed including a coffee machine, ice bucket (ice machine just up the corridor), iron, hairdryer and fridge. The restaurant/bar on the top floor had amazing views of the city and was a relaxed place for a drink. There is a daily happy hour too. Food was very good. My absolute favourite bit was the pool area. The pool was a lovely temperature and the area was sunny for most of the day. It was a very well presented area with lovely sun beds and cushions everywhere and I loved being there. There is a little cafe-bar beside the pool too. The complimentary wine hour from 4pm till 5pm was a lovely touch and Brian was very accommodating. You could take the wine back to the pool in a plastic cup and there were always at least 2 choices of wine to try. There was also a lovely lobby area to relax and drink your wine in. The valet parking staff were really friendly and helpful and always took an interest in you. We got a deal with free valet parking so that was good. For a hotel of this standard in this part of LA I thought it was very good value. All in all very impressed.

I needed a good place to stay for one night, mid-week for a business trip. Hotel is a "skip the tip" place and as such does not allow tipping. They claim their employees are well compensated. They must be as the service from just about everyone in the place is very friendly and helpful. Room was modern (chic) and reasonably priced for the location. Hotel Angeleno has many amenities, such as a full service restaurant and bar on the top floor (17th), valet parking (optional) and a little coffee shop on the main floor. Two miles from Beverly Hills and five miles from Santa Monica.I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms are a decent size, although they only gave us 2 towels for 3 people and although they brought more when we requested them they took them away when they cleaned the room the next day.
The pool is small but nice and the gym only has a few pieces of equipment but good enough for a quick workout.
The real reason this place only gets 3 stars is the location. It is too far away from anywhere to walk and the complimentary shuttle service is only offered between 8 and 2 and will only take you 3 miles which doesn’t get you anywhere useful.
Get a shuttle to “pep boys” on sepulveda boulevard and walk 0.5miles to the metro.
I would definitely recommend Mannys pizzeria which is just round the corner, great food at a decent price

The hotel is within sight of the Getty Museum, just off Sunset Blvd and the 405. A great location. The hotel is a tower, so rooms are on the small side but comfortable and well-appointed. And the views are great, especially from the 17th floor restaurant ("West"), where we enjoyed good food and excellent service. The hotel's rates are quite reasonable, given its location, even with the cost of valet parking included. And when we needed our car, it was brought to us quickly. We look forward to staying in Hotel Angeleno again and recommend it highly.

Ill be honest with you. We travel often and use Uber or Lyft everywhere. I'm sure you will have already spent alot of money to get there so using these ride shares is much safer and easier in the long run. You might want to stay on the Hollywood side where more attractions are located.

I would have to say not really. It's a short pool - there as a convenience. If you're trying to swim distance, there's a YMCA with a great pool about 10 minutes or less in a car.

Answer from Marion G
Uber would probably be your most cost effective means of transportation. Depending on traffic, it would be between $30-$40.
