Pictures are misleading. The rooms are extremely dated and suites awkwardly situated. The first room we were assigned as an upgrade had an extreme, overpowering perfume smell. We requested a new room, which was accommodated. It was no longer an upgrade, but the standard room was much nicer, newer carpet, etc, with only a slight perfume smell. There is an airport shuttle that runs without need to request. We had to wait about 45 minutes, as the first shuttle drove by without stopping (as we tried to waive down- pretty sure we made eye contact). Weston and other hotels drove by 2-3 times while we waited for next shuttle. We tried calling the front desk after the first shuttle flew by and they were annoyed at our call and said there would be another shuttle. No lounge for elites.

We have been here about 24 hours and, unfortunately, we are captive guests for 8 more nights as our daughter has a dance event going on in this hotel. Apart from the bell hop who helped us with luggages yesterday, every other staff we have encountered seems to be dismissive, rude, or seemed they would rather be somewhere else. Truly, I do not think they should be in the hospitality industry. We are at the tail end of our 2 week trip and this is our third hotel on this trip. The Hiltons we have stayed at in this trip has been amazing compared to this Sheraton. Housekeeping never came by the whole day after our first night and we had to call the front desk to request for towel change, amenity replacement and trash to be taken out. As I fall in line by the front desk yesterday, I observe and watched how they speak with other guest, wondering if its just me getting this treatment, but it seemed it is the work culture in this hotel. We have stayed at many other Marriott Bonvoy branded hotels which we raved about. This Sheraton though has been a horrendous experience over the past 24 hours and our family truly dread the next 8 night.

Please accept our apologies for the level of service you endured during your stay. This is not common nor reflects the high standards we strive for. Once your guest room is ready for your arrival, our team does not re-enter the room unless a refresh is requested and the room is unoccupied. I would recommend that you stay some where else. The hotel staff is very rude and dismissive of you. The shuttle bus from the airport is very slow and we watched as other hotel shuttle buses pass 3-4 times before the Sheraton shuttle arrived. I called to see where the bus was and the staff person said "it will be there soon" and then promptly hung up. The hotel check-in was frustrating and we were told that our rooms were not ready despite it being 3:00 PM and check in was at 2:00 PM. The Manager, Rosa, was dismissive and said to wait in the lobby like everyone else. She abruptly ended the conversation and called the next guest before I could say anything else. Further, the room was is disrepair. I had lights hanging from the ceiling and the AC unite was very loud. Plus, I had black fuzz all over the sheets when I pulled the bed covers back. Fast forward to a month later, and I got a charge for $87 on my credit card for eating at the Bar. I have called three times to get an answer as to why I was charged. Each time, I am told I need to talk to accounting. Accounting has never returned my call and I am now having to dispute the credit card charge. Staying at this hotel is like a nightmare that will never end. I really want to be done with this place, but it seems to keep wanting to haunt me.

We stayed 2 nights. One on the way from Boston to Hawaii and one on the back. Our first night’s stay demonstrated to us that their customer service commitment was nil. We weren’t given any info about Wi-Fi in the room. When we called, they gave us the Wi-Fi name that asked for our room # and last name. Didn’t work. Went back down to the desk, they told us how to sign in using a code. Tried it in the lobby - didn’t work. Went back to the desk- the lobby has its own sign in. And for all these interactions the desk staff approach to providing information was reluctant if not dour. I believe they are probably overworked and underpaid. Other problems - only decaf in the room - coming back from Hawaii, the 24/7 shuttle from the airport never came- we waited 40 minutes at 1 in the morning. Several calls to the hotel did no good. - had a difficult time getting guaranteed late arrival, which was necessary due to the lateness of our flight Bottom line - the staff does not try to be helpful. I have to believe this is on management.

I had stayed here twice, love the location and the space of the lobby (easy to wait around for flight without getting to the airport) Both time have the best sleep, really hope to know what brand their mattress is and what model. I wasn't too tire both time but always wake up feeling weightless and well rested, didn't get that experience in any other good hotel .... I would recommend. If anyone know what their mattress is, PLEASE do tell

Like most people we were only staying for one night…thankfully! Waited far too long for the shuttle bus from the airport . We saw other hotel shuttles pass at least three times before ours turned up. The room was tired to say the least. The air conditioning was horrifically loud so we turned it off which made for an uncomfortable sleep. We went elsewhere to eat so i can’t comment on the food. The only up side to the stay was leaving. We will stay in Manhattan beach next time.

We had a 3 days Business conference in This hotel and we are extremely pleased by the staff and their support. Tonya Spenser , the catering director and Estela Estrada are great. They supported us with having the conference go smoothly. Tonya made sure all our requests were met. She is professional and please to be with. Estela Estrada made sure our guests and team got he accommodations they needed. She was fast at responding to our request, vigilant and helpful. We are booking our next inference here and hope to make this place a home for us and for our clients.

$40 charge to check in before 2pm. Room is ready and no one in it! Lobby which has stained chairs and smells like old wet carpet is where everyone sits with their luggage waiting for 2pm to check into rooms that are already available. Starbucks on sight but closes at 1:30pm and doesn’t accept the app… hopefully the rest of the experience improves but so far would not recommend this hotel. We regret not staying in the airport lounge for a couple extra hours before trying to check in early or not booking a different hotel.

We held a 5-day event at the Sheraton Gateway and had a room block as well. The Events Team were excellent in getting the contract squared away quickly and handling all of our details. The event space worked great for our needs and is in a very convenient location. The shuttle bus is also easy to navigate and comes frequently all day/night. The hotel rooms are spacious and the beds/bedding are comfortable. I also want to note that the cleaning staff are incredibly friendly - every morning someone would greet me in the hallway with a smile. Would recommend this property either for an event, a stay, or both.

The hotel is OK. Nothing special. However, some of their staff are excellent. In particular, Estela Estrada, who was assisting the catering for our meeting was first class. Pre-empted many things, and provided things seconds before we actually needed them. Was on hand for everything !
