Very nice hotel perfectly located for us. The rooms were very large and everything worked as expected. We make a mistake renting a car as we used Budget Rental only to find we drove less than 1/2 a block. We could have rented a car the next morning to save on rental and parking costs. Oh well next time we will get it right.
I really enjoyed breakfast and thought the staff was very helpful clearing dishes and preparing omelets to order. Everything worked as expected. We will stay here again.

I passed through LA with my family on our way to Canada for Christmas and spent the night at the Embassy Suites North. This hotel has a great location for those needing to be near the airport, and the rooms were fairly spacious and comfortable, breakfast was also nice - simple but delicious and the buffet was well looked after and topped up regularly. The main plus for this hotel though is the people. Jaime, the manager, and the team were all friendly, welcoming, and totally genuine in every interaction. Everyone we encountered was an absolute delight. It was our sons birthday, and even though we were only staying one night in transit, the entire team went out of their way to wish him a happy birthday, even having the robot butler (brilliant) drop by our room with some treats. Way to make a travel weary 10 year olds day special! I will absolutely stay again, and will reccomend this property to everyone. Absolutely wonderful.

I booked a three night staycation. The person I spoke with in the phone during the reservation process was extremely pleasant. However, nothing she told me was true.
When I recieved my email confirmation, the rate was about $20 more than what I was quoted. It also did not include the $40/night parking which the first person told was inclusive. I called back and spoke to another person and the price was adjusted back to the regular rate.
I chose the Embassy Suites because I was, believe it or not, looking forward to a waffle breakfast during my staycation. Lol. In check in. I was told that the breakfast would only be a "to go grab bag". That was fine. I had confirmed on the phone that I would still be able to order from the restaurant. That was false. The restaurant didn't open unti 5 PM now.

I've stayed at MANY Hilton/ Embassy Suites, I've always been given a water at check in or had a water in the room. Neither happened here.

I don't know if the walls are just thin or if the guests were just ridiculously loud, but there was always some kind of noise going on until 2 AM. The hotel was not full. I understand that hotels are working on limited staffing but it shouldn't be to the detriment of the guest. I'm sure they can tell when 'party groups' are coming in. Put them away from the regular guests.

Lastly, I have never been charged $100/night deposit for a standard hotel room. A resort? Sure. But a regular hotel? Never. Absolutely, ridiculous! Even at other Embassy Suites I've never paid $100/ night for a deposit! What is the point of that? There is no mini bar in the room. The breakfast is usually free. How does one spend $100 between lunch and dinner everyday eating in the same restaurant?

On check out, I am usually asked how was my stay? Here, I was greeted with 'put the key there'.
Lesson learned. Don't stay here.

My positive: The 2 ladies at the restaurant made delicious Cosmopolitans (that I did not charge to the room).

If could leave less than a star I would. From the subpar cleanliness of the rooms to the continuous stench of marijuana and cigarette smoke pouring through the vents was horrendous. We couldn't believe it when were were told that they only clean the rooms every seven days and therefore could have housekeeping during our stay. To make matters worse while requesting fresh towels we were told we would need to pay a butler's fee. You've got to be kidding me? Check the other post on here about the unimpressive grab and go breakfast and the nonexistent reception replacement. This had to be one of the worse hotel experiences...mold in the shower, stains on the carpet, and constant running up and down the halls at night. Do yourselves a favor... don't stay here.

We flew in late Thursday night of MLK weekend, spent two nights, went to Dana Point to spend another night, and then came back to this hotel for the last night as we needed to be at the airport for an early flight Monday.

Our first night was great. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful, as was the evening reception (on the days we went). The second night (Friday) was horrible. Even though the hotel is supposed to have “quiet hours”, and had signs at the elevator indicating that they had a “no party policy” for rooms, our room on the 8th floor had doors slamming and people in the hallway being extremely loud, yelling, and the like - until after 3 AM! Tried to call the front desk to ask if something could be done, but just kept being placed on hold with no resolution.

Our second stay (Sunday night) was “okayish”. We went to take a nap and I locked our suite door with all latches and locks and then just closed our bedroom door so just in case there were loud people outside, we wouldn’t hear them. Ya - worked great until it was time to leave and we were “locked” in our bedroom as the non-locking bedroom door was stuck! After calling the desk, they had to utilize brute force to get into the room, cutting the latch off with bolt cutters I guess just to get to our bedroom door and then had to brute force that one open as well.

While the handyman was awesome in getting our room open, sure would have been a nice touch for someone at the hotel to check on us, but I’m aware this isn’t the Ritz Carlton and the staff is quite busy.

Parking is $44, so if possible at all, use Uber/Lyft or the Budget Car Rental place is right across the street from the Hotel.

Overall? Good, clean, solid, and legit hotel with good rates except for the parking (almost half the cost of our hotel room just for the car).

Lost one star for being completely unable or unwilling to control guest noise or even receive a front desk call about guest noise. Loses a second star because they didn’t contact us after we were locked in our room.

Dear FITraveler1011 - First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to write and post such a thorough review. Without question, the TripAdvisor platform gives future guest insights into many aspects of the hotels they are considering. It also allows hoteliers to look in the rearview mirror and take action. Your review has provided a transparent and fair look into your stay with us. I can't imagine the feeling of being locked in your room. On the other hand, I am happy that our team was able to respond quickly and rectify the situation. I know how valuable your time is, but if there is any way you could spare 5 minutes, I would like to send you a private message through the TripAdvisor platform. After reading it, a short response from you would be VERY much appreciated. Thank you again for staying with us, and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Best, John E.

Worst stay at an embassy suites in my life. First room #405 smelled like cigarette smoke. It smelled like a casino. There was even an air blower in there. Why check a family into a room like that? Next room #809 I was moved into, the shower had not been cleaned, small hairs (probably pubic hair) in the shower. I took pictures. the bathroom is gross, it has mold all around the shower. The room was hot, had the room set to lowest setting and it would cool down. Wanted to sleep with the slider door open but the airport noise and traffic is just too loud. Temp outside is 66, temp in the room is 78.
The pool was murky, could not see the bottom of the pool. We had our reservation from 9 - 10, the pool needed a chlorine shock. The pool was very disappointing. Also the pool flooring has mold. Additionally, the website shows that custom complimentary breakfast would be delivered to room, but upon arrival I was told the kitchen is closed due to lack of employees and instead are offering grab and go breakfast which is some sort of pastry. This is the longest complaint I've ever made, but hopefully it helps to have people like me be aware of the reality of this hotel when deciding to stay here. I would never stay again

It’s a very good hotel with complimentary breakfast. Best location specially if you have to travel back in a couple of days, 5 mins drive from the airport. Although one of the drawback is that in some bedrooms you can hear the planes at night while you’re sleeping.
Rooms are very spacious, decent size living room, with a nice comfortable bedroom and a bath.
One of the other drawback is that during the breakfast they don’t serve warm milk even if you ask them for it.
But overall, I would definitely recommend people to stay.
Ambiance of the hotel is amazing, very beautifully made and cleanliness is also maintained at all times.

I selected this hotel because I expect high standards from Hilton properties and feel the safest with their cleanliness standards especially in the given state of the world. Check in was fine and the desk person was very nice but you could just see the whole place desperately needs a facelift. The windows in the elevators were covered in hand prints and there was paint chipping all over the walls. The first room I stayed in was not what I was expecting as there was several chips in the paint of the furniture and the wall paper was peeling off in places. I also noticed several noticeable stains on the couch which made me feel uneasy sitting on them. I found an ant crawling on the table after sitting down and hoped that was it, unfortunately this was not the case. As I sat there several other ants crawled up my clothing and I felt totally appalled. The desk offered to change my room which I accepted my hen they told me they didn’t have any ant traps. The second room had the same problem aesthetics wise but seemed fine, until I was in my pajamas getting ready for bed. I saw something out of the corner or my eye and so I knelt down to investigate, there was an entire chicken nugget under the bed just sitting there. I felt sick to my stomach, if they miss a whole chicken nugget sitting on the floor what else might they have missed? I began taking photos of the various cosmetic issues around the room as well as the stains, chicken nugget and other cleanliness concerns. I changed rooms again (it’s now close to midnight) and was given another run down room where several lights did not work. This property needs to not use the Hilton name as I felt like it was more a dirty motel then a Hilton property. Very disappointed. Staff mentioned giving me 20% off my first night but this never happened either. Will NOT be returning to this property.

We have always been happy with Embassy Suites, but this visit was very disappointing. We were assigned a room that we found to be stale smelling, and dirty. There was a black hair in the bathroom sink. This is in spite of the door seal, signifying that the room had been “sanitized”. The front desk staff was very responsive, and made the best out of what corporate provided them to work with.
