Nice fairly inexpensive hotel close to USC which is why I was there. Lots of eats close by. Seemed safe enough. We had double queen room in the back corner. The parking lot was full by 7pm. Good thing when I left, no one was coming into the driveway as it was blocked with cones for someone's parking spot. I can see if it was a busy afternoon or morning it would be hard to get out to the main street. 7-11 across the street but they don't sell beer.

Very nice people running at the front desk.. Clean room and pretty quiet. 7-11 right accross the street.
Not many places around to eat, but there is a McDonalds and Jack in the Box close.
Parking a little difficult at night, but worked out fine.

They were remodelling the hotel that we had planned to stay. Instead of listening to hammers and saws all night we chose Super 8 to save our vacation.

The room was clean and quite. No strange odors. The air conditioning worked. The room had a little refrigerator and microwave. They even supplied us with plenty of little soaps and little plastic drinking cups. What more could you ask for!

The only negative is that one of the days somehow the maid skipped our room and our beds were left unmade and we missed out on getting clean towels.

Nothing spectacular, just a decent room... which was exactly what we were looking for!

Where do I begin...
1. The room had a hole in one wall; you could see outside, people could see inside, and bugs could come in and out. I told the woman at the front desk that there was hole all the way through the wall. She responded, “I know, all the rooms are like that. We’re getting internet.” I asked her, “Well, we’re in the room right now, what can you do about it?” She said, “Here, stick this in it.” And handed me a washcloth.
2. Inside the room graffiti was carved into all of the light fixtures, the air conditioning unit, and into the wooden furniture.
3. The bathroom door had what looked like dried food all over it. The bathroom fixtures were rusted and the floor was incredibly sticky both days we were there.
4. The carpet was filthy and literally turned the bottom of our socks black. We ended up wearing shoes the entire time we were there and would not walk on the carpet.
5. The sheets were clean but the top sheet had a blood stain towards the top and in a visible location. We were given clean sheets but were still disgusted by the stain.
6. All of the walls were filthy, the furniture didn’t match, the bottom of one of the chairs was ripped and sagging to the ground, the refrigerator never cooled enough to keep our food from spoiling., most of the TV stations did not get good reception, and all of the furniture looked like it came from a thrift store.
7. We had been gone all day the second day we were there. We arrived at the hotel room around 3pm, hot, tired, and in need of a shower. I went to take a shower and discovered there were no towels. I asked the housekeeper in the next room where the towels were. She did not speak one word of English so I went to the front desk, inquired about the towels, and was told by the woman at the front desk, “The towels are in the wash.” I said, “All of the towels are in the wash? Don’t you have any extras?” She said there were no extra towels. I asked when they would be ready, to which she replied, “They’re in the wash now so whenever they’re done we’ll put them in the dryer and when they’re done in the dryer they’ll be ready.”
8. The continental breakfast was OK. The only problems with the breakfast was: long black hairs all over the apples and their idea of breakfast, which on Sunday consisted of Twinkies and Ding Dongs.
9. We were told when making the reservation that the rooms all had hair dryers, iron, and ironing board. Our room had NOTHING!
10. There was a homeless lady with a shopping cart “living” in one of the parking spaces.
11. One of the housekeepers was washing the sidewalk and sprayed the entire back of our car, which we had just had washed and detailed, with water. We couldn’t believe it when we saw her do it. We tried to say something to her but she couldn’t speak any English.

I just stayed at this Super 8 and it was absolutely the worst experience I've had in my travels. The room given to us was in great condition at first glance. When I opened the drawers, I saw a few ROACHES! I disregarded the incident, taking into account the fact that the room seemed clean enough. The next day after I came back from my day trip, I entered the room and the dresser, cabinets were crawling with roaches. Even the bathtub had at least two in there. I complained to the hotel manager who told me there's nothing that they can do as they were fully booked. If you do not want to sleep with roaches, do not book this hotel.

I stay at this motel for 3 night while looking for an apartment in Los Angeles with my 3 small dogs.
This is a great place for the person who spends their $$$ on other things rather than a luxurious room.
There is an adeqate Continental breakfast buffet as well as in-room internet connection. This place is one o the most reasonably-priced pet-friendly accommodations in the L.A. area.
This is one of the East Los Angeles neighborhoods comprised of Latino/Asian/Caucasian so it has a unique character. There are great Mexican restaurants around the motel. Many families seem to stay here so it's probably not the quietest place however the price and location negate that.
It seems many people stay here when having medical tests/treatment done at UCLA Medical Center.
A short distance is the Alhambra downtown area with a Target store as well as movie theatres and good choice of restaurants. Staff was helpful and attentive.

Checked in to find front door to our room was open, no explanation given. Tried to park the car but the spaces are ALL painted too close, just asking for your car to be dinged during the night. asked front desk person who explained its just like the compact lot you get at LAX airport. SO, be prepared to have your car ruined when you stay the night. THANKS Super 8!!!

The staff is very helpful~Both early in the morning or extremely late at night they were always caring, polite, and willing to help. The walls are thin so if your neighbor is awake at the crack of dawn you will hear them. Fairly clean rooms, good check in and check out experience, cont. breakfast included, and parking. Very fair pricing for Los Angels area. Positive stay all around and will gladly return as a happy customer.

I visit the location usually once a week for business reason. The environment of the guest who literally hang out there seem unsafe. Staff does try to accommodate myself away from the noise whether loud talk or sex at 2 am. Very disrespectful for the people who spend their money to stay.

No, I don't remember there being any surprises or hidden costs at this Hotel and of course you can collect Wyndham points for a future free stay! Check out downtown Alhambra for some nice restaurants and our favorite the downtown "Main Street Diner" a classic California Diner, right out of "Pulp Fiction" although apparently it wasn't filmed there!
