Very easy to find & super clean. Room was of a good size & lovely walk in shower although not that powerful. View of the car park from our room. Car park was small but secure behind a gate & included in price. Staff were friendly & happy to help. Breakfast was coffee/Tea with a pastry or cake - some fruit would have been good. Would definitely stay again - area was safe to walk around. Handy for highways 101 & 110

If I could give The Metric more stars than 5, I would!

Upon first entering the Metric, I was warmly greeted by the clean aesthetic and fresh aroma that is maintained throughout the property. The elevator was so fast and quiet. Making it easy when I forgot something in my room!

The lobby hours were from 7am-10pm, where I was able to grab water, tea, and whole bean ground coffee at my leisure. Oh and I can’t forget to mention the fresh pastries offered in the morning, such a nice touch!

The room is so immaculate! I mean meticulously cleaned and well looked after! The individual thermostats allowed for an ease of escaping the heat. The linens on the bed were fresh and crisp. The towels were pristine and they also provided make-up towelettes. The door was a soft close, as well, so I wasn’t disturbed by hearing any slamming doors. There were ample power outlets and USB ports for all of my devices. The wall desk was great for plugging away on my laptop.

The location is so convenient, there are a multitude of attractions and food options in close driving proximity! Speaking of driving and having a car in LA, don’t sleep on booking the parking package direct when grabbing a room. Los Angeles is notorious for ticketing and towing…the secure gated parking offered on-site giant me piece of mind through the evening and my stay, that I wouldn’t pay any additional funds to the city of Los Angeles.

Literally, all aspects of my recent 5 night stay were 5 stars and a 10 out of 10!
It was such a reasonably priced stay to boot! I actually went down at one point to ask if there was availability to extend my stay…Not so surprising, there was not. The room was already booked for another extended stay.

If you are looking for a modern, clean, and reasonably priced place in LA, look no further then The Metric! I already know, I’ll be booking it for my next trip!

Late post: I am an exhibitor and attended a conference in Los Angeles. Have stayed at Jerry's a number of times in the past years and can say it is super convenient to the convention center with easy freeway access and onsite parking right outside your room door. The staff is always helpful and rooms are clean. Great value for the money especially if you don't need the typical extras associated with big hotels such as a restaurant and pool. Mom and pop corner shop next door has great sandwiches too!

Great and friendly staff! Everything was very clean, quiet and enjoyable. The morning pastries were a perk. Also having a filtered water dispenser on site was a huge bonus. I hate spending so much on bottled water when I stay at hotels. I would recommend for anyone to stay here

Formerly known as the popular Jerry's Motel, this wonderful family-managed property is brand new, having been rebuilt and renamed as The Metric. The rooms are high tech, quiet and extremely clean, with modern fixtures and very high-speed internet, which was appreciated! Room size seems fine for short stays, maybe slightly more challenging for extended visits (as ours was) since storage space is limited. Still, with a little bit of space organization we were able to make do!

We had a very comfortable king bed and enjoyed wonderful free gourmet coffee and breakfast pastries each morning which were provided in the lobby for guests. The location is on a residential street next to downtown Los Angeles, and is a quick drive close to everywhere worth seeing, and actually within close walking distance of the Bellwether LA, a new music venue.

Finally, one of the best features for us was the free parking for hotel guests, which is a HUGE plus for people visiting LA. We were grateful to make our way home to the Metric each evening and not have to worry about whether or not we would find a parking space.

Huge thanks to management for making our stay even better. Wishing them many, many years of success and we definitely plan to be back.

Definitely recommend!

This hotel used to be Jerry's Motel, which we stayed in back in 2014. It's now The Metric, but it is an entirely different hotel in nearly every way except for it still has a great staff. We loved the minimalist/industrial aesthetic; it was clean, convenient, and safe. The beds were so comfortable we didn't want to go home. There were so many little touches that made the stay even better - a sound machine for sleeping (not that you need it, but we usually use one and are used to it!), an automatic nightlight in the bathroom, blackout curtains, delicious free breakfast pastries, and even the toilet paper holder with a shelf for your cell phone (because let's be honest, we all take our phones to the bathroom). Plus, ample, gated parking for a relatively small fee on top of the room. We will 1000% stay again on our next trip to LA!

During this crisis, its places like this that you wonder about and hope they survive. This is the spot my wife and I stayed at countless times during our visits to our daughter's house in nearby Echo Park. Run by an eldery gentleman who lived onsite it was a true "motor hotel". Drive your car up right to your room door. Chat with the owner at any time. It was amazing this place was tucked away in the shadows a stone's throw from the large downtown LA skyline. I sure hope to visit them again once we are behind this madness.

Booked this as most of DTLA was sold out during my stay. Happy to find this little placed tuck away right next to the 110 fwy. Was able to get to Staples for a Lakers game in 8 mins with an Uber. Next morning I was able to walk in 15 mins to the Broad Museum and then from there hop on a train to Hollywood to take the Hop On Hop off tour. If you want to spend less than $150 in downtown, this is your spot.

I selfishly want to keep this place a secret by not writing a review...but it's too good not to share. The perfect boutique hotel with a great location (THE best location if you're going to LA Center Studios) in downtown LA. Everything is brand new, squeaky clean, and comfortable. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the city. And to top it all off, they have free espresso/coffee, filtered water, and pastries in the morning from Homeboy Bakery. Really can't say enough good stuff about this place.

Great new boutique in a great location - super close to downtown and easy to get to western LA neighborhoods. The rooms were clean, modern, and super comfy. The front desk staff was super friendly and very helpful - even offering to look up Metro and bus schedules for me. I'd highly recommend for anyone looking a hotel close to downtown, and I'd definitely stay here again!
