The room itself was the usual understated Westin neutral toned elegance and the bed and linens incredibly comfortable, which is why I prefer Westin in general. I also love that there are water refill stations in the lobby. However, you can't change the fact that it's right next to the airport. You might get a great view of the runways but you'll also hear planes taking off throughout the day and especially late at night. You can also hear alarms going off for your neighboring guests and doors slamming. If you have free breakfast with your status it's in the "Executive Lounge" on the 12th floor, not the restaurant on the ground floor.

Dear mxa2022, Thank you for being our guest at The Westin Los Angeles Airport. We are glad you enjoyed your overall time with us and that you loved the beautiful views and our signature Westin Heavenly Bed®. That said, we regret the disturbances you experienced due to runway noise, an unfortunate side effect of our convenience to the airport. We understand your frustration and are grateful for your patience. Thank you once more for all of your feedback, and we hope to welcome you again on your next visit to the Los Angeles area. Be Well, Mark Goldrup General Manager

Excellent place to stay near the airport. The hotel was quiet and comfortable. Check in was easy and was able to leave my car there instead of LAX. The shuttle took us to the airport at 4:15 AM and runs every 15 to 20 minutes. Will be my go to LAX hotel.

We have done dozens of Park and fly packages at the Westin. This time, both our pre-flight stay and our return stay were on high floors, as requested. Marriott status acknowledged, limited snacks and drinks at lounge pm and decent breakfast am. It smells so good at the Westin!
Two cons:
Very noisy, hard to sleep. I inquired what part of the hotel I should request for a peaceful nights sleep and the Westin’s (rather flippant) response was, street out front noise, or runway noise 24/7 or on the side facing a dog kennel, where they bark all night.
The shuttle…we stand on the curb at LAX and see 2-3 shuttles go by for other hotels before the Westin takes forever to arrive.
I think we’ll be looking for another airport hotel with frequent shuttles and quieter rooms.

Terrible night at the Westin LAX during a business trip. The sensor lights in the bathroom turned themselves on every 90 minutes throughout the night. The bathrooms have glass doors, so the whole room would be light. I thought there was an intruder in the room! But it happened all night. I complained to the manager at 6:30 am at check-out and she said that since I didn’t call maintenance, they couldn’t verify that this was true. Absolutely terrible customer service. Would never stay there again.

Ines at the reception desk went above and beyond normal expectations to ensure that our rooms were available in a timely manner after a 5 hour flight. INES you are the best at what you do. Our flight got in to LAX at 9 am ,which is way earlier than than the normal check-in times at the Westin. Ines was able to make suggestions on how we could get our rooms and she also made sure that our Bonvoy memberships were updated.
Thank you,
KJ Bonvoy member.

Please beware that the gym is not equipped with any video surveillance. I was in the gym on the evening of 1/13 and a man walked in with non-gym attire, walked straight to the bathroom, and then left (or so I thought). I looked up and he was exiting the bathroom again and he started walking toward me. I was on the treadmill and was startled because I thought he had left the gym. He proceeded to ask me how I was doing. I looked away and replied “okay” to which he replied something unintelligible and walked out. He had on street clothes not workout attire. I felt unsafe and began looking for security cameras in the gym but were unable to find any. I left and ran into security patrolling near the gym and explained the incident to security. Security walked back into the gym with me and confirmed that there are no security cameras in the gym. There’s one camera at the end of hallway at an adjacent hall near the gym. I understand you have to use your key card to access the gym. However, there are no additional security measures in place to ensure your safety can be monitored while you’re in the gym. I felt like that man’s goal was to engage in conversation with me so I could feel comfortable and let down my guard. He could’ve attacked me and there would have been no video evidence of the attack. As a woman, I trust my instincts and my instincts told me he was an unsafe person.

I immediately escalated this issue to a lady at the hotel front desk. An Asian man (who I think is one of the night manager’s because I’ve interacted with him before) came out from behind her and told me that security was already looking at the video to see if he could identify the man. That was the gist of the conversation.

No one at the front desk asked me my name, room number, or phone number to follow up with me regarding the incident or offered to walk me back to my room to assure my safety.

Because of this incident, I left the hotel shortly thereafter. I no longer felt safe and did not have any confidence that Westin staff would assure my safety for the duration of my stay. Please be aware of your surroundings when staying at this hotel. I also noticed that the elevators did not require a key to access the floors throughout the hotel, which is also a safety issue. In addition, there are a lot of homeless people near the hotel so please be aware of your surroundings at this hotel. If something does not feel right or you feel unsafe, leave!

Brian at check-in was excellent; he placed us in a quiet and very comfortable room. We were able to enjoy the hot tub before the pool area closed at 10 pm. Since we were returning our car to Fox Rental (which is within walking distance), we didn't need to pay for parking.

We did encounter an issue with our bathroom sink—it wasn't draining. However, the maintenance person promptly arrived and fixed it. We were very impressed with the quick response.

The shuttle was ready for our early morning departure at 5:00 am. It's not the fault of the Westin, but it was a bit annoying to wait a bit longer due to flight attendants (Delta) trying to organize themselves and waiting for late arrivals. It felt a bit like herding cats!

We stay at this property many times a year for park and fly or to see a show in LA.
Staff has always been reliable and friendly.

All previous reviews got erased since the remodel which was needed and nice. Nice comfortable bedroom. The only suggestion is that there should be a way to keep the bathroom door open if you want to.

The Daily Grill on site is the place we always have dinner before our flight or before heading to a show and always good. Frank was nice and attentive.

See you again soon

I live in Hollywood/Los Angeles but when I landed at LAX, I was too exhausted to get home and so I grabbed a room here and it was perfect. First, the Bellman, I think his name was Steven, could not have been more welcoming and wonderful. Then Richard at the front desk made my horribly long travel day a good one by upgrading me as a HILTON Goldmember to the only Sweet left in the entire hotel. He was kind and happy to do it. I really needed rest and because he upgraded me I took the next day off and excepted the late checkout offer.it was a much needed break and I never would’ve expected it down the block from the airport and 45 minutes from my front door. Loved it.

Great hotel
Wonderful rooms, some of the best at lax. Great employees too.
Just don’t understand the constant music being played in the lobby
So annoying and unnecessary at 0600 when most people want some peace and quiet. Especially at lunch time when business groups are meeting in the lobby.
