Overall, this is a good hotel to stay in for the area. It is not too close to the freeway or the busy street of Beach Blvd. It is upwind from the freeway and so you can breathe a little bit easier. Directly across the street is Whole Foods supermarket and Bella Terra, a shopping and dining complex which consists of California Pizza Kitchen, Cheese Cake Factory, Island Burgers, Jamba Juice, Somi Somi, Jamba Juice, and a whole bunch of stuff. There’s also REI if you need camping gear and a movie theater too. If you want Vietnamese noodle soup, there are two of the best noodle shops in Orange County within walking distance: they are Silk Noodle Bar (they make their noodles fresh and their filet mignon pho is out of this world. You can add other meats like meatballs to it if you want.) and Pho 101 (their sister restaurant Pho 79 won the James Beard Award recently. They have a good variety of things like the grilled pork and shrimp vermicelli. You may have to wait in line for a bit on the weekends.) A 5 minute walk to Beach Boulevard will get you to the bus stop where for $2 (or $4 for an unlimited one day pass) can get you to the beach and Huntington Beach Pier.

Back to the hotel, you can expect a fairly insulated wall, a robust air conditioning system, clean rooms and amenities (their is an exercise room where you can get your water bottle refilled). My room 220 has a broken faucet though. (I took .5 points off for this but gave them the benefit of the doubt and gave them 5 stars anyway because the staff, especially Nicolas and Anthony were great in helping to take care of it. These guys were genuinely concerned about my dilemma of waking at night to use the toilet and faucet and couldn’t shut the water off until I had to shut off the valve below the sink.) There is, however, a new trainee at the front desk during the week that I am here. She is the embodiment of the Wells Fargo perky but has no soul employee who unnecessarily tries to engage you in conversation by making and/or asking personal statements questions. I know she is new. All I have to say is for her to lower her voice a bit and imagine that she is checking in her aunts and uncles each time she relates to people at the front desk. The room layout is natural and convenient. The architect who drew this layout up is a genius. The a/c hums but not noisily. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom and toilet are clean. The second floor has an open terrace that you can sunbathe and play games. Overall, this is a good choice if you can afford this price range.

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We travelled with my two kids 2 years old and 6 months old, we enjoyed the location near LA

I love Huntington Beach and this is my 2nd year stay at Springhill Suites. (My friends and I stayed here the same time at last year). It was a very nice surprise to receive a welcome back handwritten note with some goodies from the Manager.

Always a great stay at this hotel! AB who checked us in was very friendly and helpful as well as the other Reception staff. I love the modern decor of the room with ample suite size. Bed was very comfortable with separate area for lounging and working. Rooms also have a mini fridge and microwave. The only thing was the bathroom light was directly in front of the bed. Could be really bright when bathroom light is turned on while everyone's sleeping.

The common areas and the 2nd floor patio were also nicely decorated with a giant chessboard and Jenga. Location was very convenient, Bella Terra Mall was in front of the hotel and is a 10min drive to Huntington Beach. Lots of restaurants to choose from in the area. Would gladly stay here again!

We selected this location because it was nearby to a family gathering. We thought it would be a great place because it is a Marriott and it is a pretty new property. First, when we checked in we were told there was a $10 charge to park, of which we were previously unaware. There’s no security provided in the parking lot. It is self-serve. Not sure why the $10 fee was needed. Also, the front doors to the hotel were not working, so we were instructed about the location of side doors. We found this to be a safety concern, as we have been awoken in hotels before, when the building had to be evacuated through the front lobby.
On to the sanitation… Right outside the elevator on our room floor, there was a large dark stain in the carpet, as though someone had been sick there. Not sure what truly caused it. However, on the table in the elevator waiting area, there was a piece of gum prominently stuck on it. The carpet in all the common area needed to be vacuumed badly, as the hallways were littered with tiny pieces of debris and papers. In our room, we found a dark curly hair in the bathroom sink and a long light hair on the countertop. The grout in the bathroom was filthy, mostly dark and looking nothing like the original light grout that was found around the edges of the bathroom floor. Oh-and the room a/c was super noisy.
We will definitely not return to this location. It is nothing like the other Marriott Springhill suites we have stayed in over the years.

The blue dot gave hot water and the red dot gave cold water on the sink faucet so the plumber hooked up the sink faucet backwards. Room 305 if anyone wants to fix it. The shower was unreal. We could not get clean. Horrible to no pressure at all.

My recent stay at Springhill Suites was truly exceptional. The hotel looks newly refurbished, and has got a complimentary AC charging station. Service was outstanding - Batoul from front desk was very attentive and accomodating. My experience was beyond enjoyable, thank you to the fantastic team! Out of probably 20 different Marriott properties I've stayed around LA in the past year, this is hands down the best one. Keep it up!

Parking is $10 / day and there is plenty. If you are an Elite Member I believe they will waive the fee. Just ask when you check in. The policy seems to be quite liberal.

No pool. Looks like they used to have one but they filled it in. Huntington Beach was about 10 minutes. Easy drive.

Everything from eggs bacon pancakes French toast cereal coffee juice. This place was super nice and I have high expectations for hotels. You will not be disappointed. The drive to the beach took me less than 15 minutes. I was skeptical at first because I wanted to stay on the beach but for the price and everything included with this I am glad that I chose this place.
