This to us was the best hotel in hermosa. The staff were super nice and helpful. Rebecca was always smiling and helpful. The valet guys were awesome . The lady who did the continental breakfast area was always making sure it was well stocked and clean . The rooms were amazing . I’m glad we upgraded from ocean view to oceanfront . It was well worth it . The hotel is super clean and quiet . We will return again .

Amazing Ocean Front View, right near the pier and all attractions. If Jay Leno is performing they have tickets! I have to travel for medical reasons, The rooms are amazing. I am very disabled. They have ADA accessible Full Ocean View rooms. I wanted to stay in the ocean front room if possible, the showers are all walk-in showers which is my biggest concern and they even measured the height of the lip to get in the shower of the ocean front so I could make sure I could safely use the shower. I had a wonderful time. Getting up in the morning, getting to sit outside, drink coffee, see all the people and dogs go by on the strand, volleyball on the beach, and most of all the ocean is priceless. I even made the walk down the pier and through the courtyard to Jay Leno (very slowly with the help of my caregiver and friends, all so close by).

we stayed here as we had stayed in the same chain in HALF MOON BAY. This hotel is set in a great location right on Hermosa Beach, only separated by the side walk. we arrived early and our room wasn't ready, which we understood. we had a hire car with our luggage in, the desk staff advised that we could park our car ourselves or use the valet service, when i said this to the valet they said it was only valet, i couldn't park the car myself and they would sort the luggage . I may have mis understood what the desk staff said but the attitude of the valet was take it or leave it. we decided to take it and left the keys. we didn't fond the desk staff that helpful they asked for us to leave our phone number so they could contact us when the room was ready, which was fine. we went off for a walk around the town and returned appx 2 hours later and as we walked in I received a text to say our room was ready, coincidence or luck!?. we got to the desk and were presented with a set of room keys asked to sign for the room advised were the room was and that was it. we questioned if there were any 3rd floor rooms available and after a quick look were told there wasn't and that the room we had we would like. we asked fit got sun and were told that it had plenty of light. we had witnessed someone else being booked in and being treated equally unhelpfully and others who were treated like they were regular visitors and told every thing about the stay from were breakfast was, the spa, time of breakfast etc etc. We received none of this information. all this said the room itself was very comfy, clean and the room amenities were great. This is in a great spot, but the service needs attention.

On parking, we only have Valet, with the hotel. The other is through the city and much less convenient. Also, ours is only valet as we have limited spaces. I’ve stayed here several times over there years, but it’s been several years since my last visit. Nothing’s changed, in all the best ways. It’s situated right on the beach just down from the Hermosa Beach Pier on the Strand. Each room has a sitting area, a mini kitchen, a fireplace and such comfy beds. The views from the ocean view rooms are perfect. There’s a bit of noise from pedestrians on the strand at night if you leave your sliding glass door open, but it’s the best way to hear the ocean waves. The continental breakfast in the morning is plentiful and the extras are so nice (Bikes, umbrellas when it rains and more). Such a great beach luxury find!

5 weekdays Oct 2020 we stayed on the downstairs partial ocean view room on the north side but the check-in person was kind enough to give us the room closest to the beach in the main building still partial ocean category but a great view since we were staying for 5 days. I could supervise my kids from the patio while they played on the beach. We could watch the foot traffic , skaters and volleyball players. She did tell us that the room was next to the breakfast buffer area and would be more noisy but we didn't mind and wanted the nice view. We loved the free beach-chairs and towels. The bell boys were all super helpful , polite and friendly especially Jerry. With corona breakfast was not buffet but selections from a large menu that you could customize every night and get delivered on a nice platter to your room at your timeslot of choosing. we will definitely come back.

I have stayed here twice now and can’t wait to stay again. I don’t know how I had not heard of this hotel until last month but I am so glad it randomly came up in my search as it is now my go-to beach getaway when I just need to have a change of pace and scenery. I live in LA and use this to get away a d have some peace and quiet (also perfect during covid).
While I usually try to choose a more reasonable room at hotels that I stay in, for this one, I spring for the oceanfront as it is absolutely worth it. Sitting outside just watching people walk by or savoring the magnificent sunsets is so calming. The 2nd time I stayed, I kept the door open the whole time to enjoy the breeze and was lulled to sleep by the ocean waves.
The room is spacious, with a little kitchenette area that is fully stocked with glassware and dinnerware. It also has a fireplace and comfy living area, it almost feels like a small apartment.
There is nothing else I could really ask for during my stay. Can’t wait to be back.

Stayed for four nights recently on a trip visiting my daughter who had just moved to the area. Loved Hermosa Beach in general, and was very happy with my choice. I had an oceanfront room, which was literally on the beach with the Strand running right in front of my room. For that reason , I’d advise visitors to ask for either the second or third floor, since the first floor is too close for comfort to all the people walking, cycling, rolling by. The suite was clean and nicely appointed. There was a separate sitting area with a fireplace in front of the balcony with the main bedroom raised up in the entrance. Nice bathroom too. Service was good, though one day I had to argue to get my room serviced since it was 4 pm and it hadn’t been done despite my having the Clean Room card out all day. In the end they did it. Valet parking is expensive but necessary and at least the car service was good. The complimentary breakfast is a nice touch and very good, with lots of choice. Not the cheapest place to stay but I enjoyed my visit.

Have stayed here many times before and loved it but this was not a good experience. Be careful when reserving an Ocean View room. The only ocean view is from a corner of the patio if you are outside. The actual view from the room was horrible (see photos). They now charge $35 a day mandatory for parking even though they do not provide this info when booking nor does the website. It indicates valet parking is available not required. The rooms are in need of a refresh, and the shower had almost no water pressure. The beach chairs provided were filthy/and the pockets were full of trash. The location is stellar but visitors beware. $4-500 per night is ridiculous considering the above issues.

We stayed at Beach House for 3 nights, and it exceeded our expectations in nearly every way! We were right on the strand, watching volleyball and all the people enjoying Hermosa while sipping wine on our very own enclosed porch. Yet when we closed the sliders it was remarkably quiet. We are still talking about the delicious breakfast we enjoyed every morning, a huge variety of fresh baked goods, fruit, coffee, and more. We ate outside on the pretty patio every morning. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, they let us check in early since our room was ready, they were also very helpful with any questions we had concerning the area, restaurants, etc. The people tending the breakfast bar were phenomenal, keeping everything plentiful and clean, and the housekeeping service was perfect, keeping us pampered but giving us privacy at the same time. Highly recommend! I wish every hotel was this spectacular!
