I was helping to move my daughter into UC Irvine and acclimate to the area so we stayed at your lovely hotel, Ave of the Arts in Costa Mesa for 6 nights. First of all I would like to say that the hotel is beautifully situated in a park like setting surrounded by greenery and waterways...a slice of tranquility rarely found in such an urban area.
At the front desk Ian Rosal was the first to kindly greet us and so kindly gave us a room which maximized the view and made our 6 days feel like a vacation!
The rooms are gorgeously appointed with luxurious linens, the towels where beautifully soft (not worn from overuse), the Kuerig coffee maker and pods were a big elevation in coffee quality from standard drip makers (and so much more hygienic during this time of COVID-19).
We were beyond impressed with both the front desk staff and Housekeeping who so kindly kept bringing us things we needed.
During this time of the Coronavirus, your hotel is a leader by example with your active focus, training and approach towards maintaining a safe, hygienic environment that promotes a healthy stay away from home....the most impressive actions that I’ve seen taken by any other hotel!

This is a classy hotel, not only in terms of elegance, but the way we were treated by the staff. Even though we booked the hotel through Priceline, they did not treat us any differently than high-end customers paying full price. They made us feel welcome and like valued guests. Doormen opened the doors for us when we came in and when we went out. The clerks at the reservation desk were warm and friendly. Housekeeping was quick to deliver extra towels and toiletries upon our request. My daughter had to take her cranky baby to the lobby in the middle of the night to walk around with him. The clerks (Carla and Angel) came over to play with the baby, and even brought him a tiny stuffed animal. This was way above and beyond any customer service experience we have had at any hotel before. This is a classy hotel with classy employees. Our room was comfortable, beautiful, and clean. The property and view was beautiful. Very happy with our stay!

I am still impressed with this hotel. I frequent hotel stays for business and this one has really sticks out to me. The room was tastefully decorated with an extremely comfortable bed, great water pressure. Everything was so clean. The service was great. There's a restaurant next door and food was delicious, worth every penny if you need convincing. On the back side of the hotel there's a beautiful water feature. I don't have business plans to go back to this area but I will make the effort to go back on vacation days just to stay at this hotel again. Location is great.

I have stayed at the Avenue of the Arts more times than I can remember now, it's always a delight, and being a Marriott Elite, I always have gotten at least a Jr. Suite each stay, as was the case this time. Also breakfast at the Silver Trumpet was included and I had purchased a food package with parking and $50 food at the Silver Trumpet also for dinner.

The branding and complete attention to their color theme through out is without fail. Very soothing. The water features area in the back of the hotel is just so nice to look out on in the morning and the evening and great to walk around. Also if you feel like it, you are really close to South Coast plaza which has every high end retailer I can think of off hand.

The Jr. Suite has a great living area, the bathroom is good. The bedroom is very pretty, but does feel a tad tight on the sides of the bed. The coffee bar and vanity area is good spacing and stocked with a Kuerig and tasty kpods. The Minifridge can have a minibar in it or you can have it unstocked if you like.

The bed is very comfortable, the noise is non-existant from outside (even being 3 miles from Orange County airport). It is very relaxing, and the entrance to the hotel being setback from the street immediately pulls you out of the normal world into theirs.

So the room is really good, but the true gem is the restaurant. The good is very well prepared, diverse and absolutely delicious. The locations views to the adjoining pond, indoors or out, a very excellent wine list. This is one where you do 3-4 courses and just enjoy the experience. The bar is connected, and has street access, it's very interesting decor but the drinks are exceptional.

The staff at the Ave. of Arts is top notch. There are people I have seen there for 3 years, so they retain quality individuals and it shows.

I prefer staying here more than anywhere else in the area, and I think only the coastal properties can even give them a challenge.

I can’t love this hotel enough! Not just because it fabulously chic but because it out of the way and super quiet which is a must have for me in terms or lodging. I love the circular drive and the fire lit heat lamps as well as the fountain out front. Parking is $25 or 29 to valet. The parking garage is right next to the hotel not a very far walk so unless you’ll be coming in late or drunk valet is not needed. The staff is exceptionally nice and the lobby is beautifully decorated with plush velvet couches and caged chairs next to a blazing fire place. The fact that the hotel is Not too big is also a plus. There is a large outdoor lounge area with plush couches. Very nice design, but it was too cold to sit outzWe stayed in the executive suite. Very nice.very clean With robes and slippers, 2 TVs, and plenty of amenities. Housekeeping was on point they brought us extra slippers and water. There are 3 balconies attached My only gripe is that my executive suite was not overlooking the large lake out back but the parking area instead which I think all the suites should but still a wonderful room and hotel. This hotel is surrounded by everything. there is a Friday’s and a Morton’s steakhouse across the street. Mall and restaurants down the street and the beach is a few miles away. Perfect place for a getaway.

The Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa Hotel was a wonderful stay! My kids and I enjoyed the clean, spacious room and all the large Hotels amenities. The staff was wonderful and my great experience started at booking! I was asked if I needed extra pillows, blankets or anything special for our staff, got a great rate and it was very efficient and timely. When we arrived at the Hotel and during our entire stay we were constantly greeted with smiles and helpful assistance. The staff really go out of their way to make sure you have what you need and are taken care of. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone and will be returning. Thank you!

This hotel is one of the nicest we have ever stayed in. As beautiful as the photos are, they don’t do justice to the beauty and atmosphere of the entire place. The room, hallways, elevators and restaurant were impeccably clean. The staff was so very helpful and enthusiastic- including special requests in the restaurant. We enjoyed the bar one afternoon and enjoyed the ambiance, drinks and appetizers. We also enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub- even in November, and had a wonderful time! Another day we sat outside and worked in their courtyard that is decorated and has the true feel of an oasis. The exercise room also was fully stocked with upgraded equipment, a beautiful view of the lake area (an oasis of its own), and extremely clean as well as stocked with fr ah towels, sanitizing wipes and bottled water.
This hotel is also wonderfully situated next to the Segerstrom Performance Art center which has various art sculptures and provides a beautiful walk to area shopping and restaurants. Try Baja Fish Tacos for a wonderful fresh lunch!
Very walkable location. We will definitely stay here again as it was truly relaxing and had every amenity we could have wanted!!

We are Marriott Gold Members and from the time we arrived until we left it was really seamless. The shuttle service from Santa Ana airport was quick and efficient. We arrived really early in the morning and within two hours (we went to grab breakfast) our room was ready. The room was spacious, quiet and really lovely. The hotel itself is really beautiful and was decorated for the holidays. The restaurant/bar are great the waiters and bartenders are fantastic. The front desk staff was really friendly and very much in line with the service of other Marriotts. My only suggestion is to improve the WiFi, it was a bit challenging to work and possibly re-do the bathrooms as they are a bit dated. I also really liked the Peleton's in the gym, great addition!

Very pleased with our stay at the Arts.

We selected this hotel so we could use our category 4 free night certificates. Check in was smooth and both rooms were ready early afternoon.

The rooms were clean and fresh. Each room had a small balcony facing the lake and pool, the lake area has a nice walking trail. The beds were very comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was large, very good water pressure, plush towels and ample counterspace. 2 complementary bottles of waters and coffee maker.

Loved that the hotel was quiet, no one running in the halls, talking loudly or slamming doors. Everyone we encountered abided by the covid rules – masks worn properly, social distancing and sanitation stations.

Would recommend if in the area.

Dear Anita, Thank you for reaching out! The renovations will be in our pool area during your stay and we anticipate that there will only be limited noise from the renovation. While our pool area will be closed, our Garden Retreat and the lakeside will still be accessible for guests.
