Clean, good quality rooms. Very nice facilities and helpful staff. It is roughly 10 mins walk from the nearest chairlift but it also has a bus which does a circuit every hour. If you need any help you can easily go to the onsite help desk.

My partner and I were one of the first guests to stay in Snow Dog when it opened last week. We stayed for 8 nights in their most basic room. We were expecting something small and simple. While small, it was still surprisingly spacious. It included a mini kitchenette with a small cooktop (for one pan), a microwave, a kettle, a toaster and a rice cooker. It was perfect for cooking basic meals for two- but who would want to eat in when there are so many restaurants in town? The apartment also has a washer/ dryer in one and included other bits and pieces that all helped along the way. The staff were also very helpful and friendly- happy to accommodate when they could- including a pick up from a bus from Sapporo to the Hirafu welcome centre. Snow Dog is located about 10 minutes…

As you mentioned, whilst the apartments are about 10 to 15 minutes away from Hirafu, there is a regular complimentary shuttle bus running around the Niseko Village area and into Hirafu just for our Snow Dog guests. Also our friendly onsite staff are more than willing to give guests a quick transfer up to the closest chairlifts if they are available. We are glad you enjoyed all your apartment had to offer, as we like to say the apartments are functional and have everything you would need for your stay in the way of amenities/facilities. My wife and I were the first guests at Snow Dog when they opened on 1 February 2017. The apartments are very comfortable size, and huge in comparison to Tokyo and Sapporo hotels, the apartments have modern appliances with all the facilities that should keep you comfortable during your stay. It even had a washer dryer which was a perfect for us as Niseko was the second leg of our trip and we had a heap of laundry to do! Getting there was a very simple process as the Ski Japan team arranged for arrival pick up from the Hirafu welcome centre and dropped us off at the Hilton for the resort liner bus stop to get to New Chitose airport.
