Lovely special place, very clean and wonderful hosts, nothing too much trouble for them.
Great room and very clean with a ceiling fan which was awesome for us, happy.
The bathroom was WOW!! So big and spacious, amazing corner bath. All clean.
Only small problem was it needed a bigger tv.
Definitely going back xx

Alan & Jan, are friendly, helpful and wonderful hosts. Spotless accommodation with en-suite facilities. Located close to the sea and I.O.W. Ferry. Hearty breakfast, excellent value and quiet residential location. It's an absolute winner.

My husband and I have recently returned from a five night stay at Wisteria House, Stubbington UK, which is a Bed and Breakfast run by Janice and Alan Coupe.
We had previously 'met' over the internet as I volunteer for a UK Charity, hence we had a running gag about Hysteria at Wisteria.
The only hysteria we had was a laughter-packed stay with such warmth from our hosts.
As we walked in through the door we were greeted with a warm, calm relaxing atmosphere. The bedroom with en-suite shower and bathroom were exceptionally clean, airy and fresh smelling; the small, cosy dining area was bathed in sunlight every morning whilst we ate our breakfasts to the tranquil sounds of soothing music.
Our hosts cater for any dietary needs so I was able to have my skimmed milk and special nut and seed mixture prepared by myself at home and kept in their fridge, which I add to muesli.
The breakfasts were varied, catered for all tastes, freshly cooked and beautifully presented.
We were given the key to our room so that we could use it any time of day if we needed to return from visits in the area.
Despite it being a cold, snowy February out of doors, indoors it was warm and comfortable, so much so, that it was easy to relax and fall asleep which i did so often after having a cuppa and watching TV in our room.
We haven't stayed in a Bed and Breakfast Hotel for over 20 years, preferring to opt for self catering when our son was young, or latterly top class hotels.
However Wisteria House far surpassed any hotel we have stayed at in the UK or Europe and we cannot wait to re-visit.

Stayed at this first class B&B for one night. The room, newly redecorated, was immaculate, spotlessly clean and well appointed with a good supply of teas and coffee and a flat screen TV. The bathroom was spacious with large bath and two basins and a large shower. All plumbing worked well and there was a supply of nice toiletries. The two rooms are self contained and guests get their own access to the property. Alan and Jan made us feel very welcome. The only slight niggle was that breakfast, even on a Saturday morning, finished at 08:30 which was just a little early, notwithstanding that, the choice and ingredients were excellent and it was delicious. This place is a little Gem in an area which doesn't have that many, definately recommended and we will be going back.

My husband and I have just returned from a long weekend at Wisteria House which was a treat for my husbands birthday. We chose Wisteria House as it's close to Portsmouth and Gosport which were both places we were visiting to sight see.
We stayed in the Blue Room and it suited us perfectly with its huge en-suite and comfy king sized bed.
Jan and Alan are lovely hosts, attentive but not overbearing and I have to agree with another review that Jans poached eggs are amazing! Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty and we took Jans advice and took the ferry from Gosport to the Dockyard which saved us a very stressful journey into Portsmouth by car.
We enjoyed our break so much that we've already booked to go back in November for our anniversary and we can't wait to return.
Thank you so much Jan and Alan for making our break perfect.

We stayed here whilst visiting my husbands brother and wife for a 2 night stay. The Wisteria is 100% spotlessly clean. We stayed in the Ebony suite which is superb, massive and tastefully decorated. The bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was an epicureans delight. The hosts made us feel very welcome and at home - nothing was too much trouble.
We would recommend this guest house highly and when we do a return visit we will be staying here again.

Despite having reviewed Wisteria House in August 2012, I felt compelled to write another review after visiting in June 2013. The reason for this is that on our arrival we discovered Jan and Alan, the proprietors, have completely refurbished and redecorated the two guest bedrooms.
We stayed in The Ebony Room as before (formerly known as The Orchard Room) – this has been tastefully decorated as has its adjoining bathroom with overhead shower. Both bedroom and dining room are still kept meticulously clean and fresh, providing us with a pleasant and relaxing ambience for the duration of the stay.
Breakfast was freshly cooked and promptly served - exactly as we’d asked for. Not only did it come on a warm plate but with warm smiles and ‘set yourself at ease’ general chit chat as Jan and Alan served us.
The only thing I’d add to previous reviews is - try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

Very nice modern accommodation. However we found our room, the 'Jasmine Room' a little small for the amount of luggage we were carrying. On the other hand, the bathroom was very generous in size.
The breakfast was very good and nicely presented. The tea making facilities in the room included yummy biscuits and chocolates.
Our hosts were very helpful and friendly and gave good sightseeing advice.
We found this location very convenient with easy access to Portsmouth, Winchester and Southampton.

We stayed there for 6 nights. Wisteria is definitely a first class B&B. The location is perfect, walking distance (3 min walk) to restaurants and markets. The rooms are so spacious and well decorated. The sheets are snow white and super soft, it makes it so tough to get out of bed. The whole place is so clean and cozy you really feel home. Aside from all these great things, Jan and Allan, the owners, make you feel so welcomed that you might get a little too comfortable. They are such a lovely couple and Alan has a good sense of humor. Thanks so much for everything guys and you know we will be staying there anytime we are anywhere close to Fareham.

I have never written a review on any accommodation I have stayed in before, but I felt compelled to write a review about Wisteria House.
I stayed here overnight as I was attending an interview in the area. After a horrible rush hour drive it was lovely to have such a friendly welcome and shown to such a lovely, clean room and the offer of a cup of tea.
If the bed was big the bathroom was HUGE! A really comfortable room to stay in.
Both hosts were great and did their very best to keep my nerves at bay the next morning, offering an early breakfast if needed and calming words. The breakfast itself was lovely, well cooked and great "runny" poached eggs.
Thank you both for a lovely stay - if we have too many visitors when we move down we will definitely recommend you to friends or family.
