Stayed here for 2 nights while on a quick trip to Disneyland. It was cheaper to take a Lyft back and forth from the hotel to park so the distance was good for us, not very far.

Check in was easy and quick and the front desk staff were friendly enough. We had room 117 on the first floor. The room was for sure dated and in need of some TLC, but appeared to be cleanish. The walls had some serious scuffs mark and are in dire need of being repainted. The carpet is stained very bad, but was clean. We walked barefoot on the carpet and didn’t turn the bottom of our feet black or brown, so could tell it was clean. But for sure needs to be replaced.

The rest of the room was clean and stocked with basics. There is a mini fridge in the room which is a plus and with 3 adults the room was very spacious.

But now to the beds! These were by far the WORST beds that I have ever experienced in any hotel/motel and the reason I won’t be back nor recommend to anyone. They were extremely hard. I believe they were memory foam (or something similar), but whatever they were it was not good. You may like firm mattresses, and if you do then you will score here! I laid on the floor at one point and the floor was about the same as the bed. Made for 2 nights of lots of tossing and turning.

If the beds were improved this would be our new go to place though. Location is good, close to convenience stores, restaurants, e.t.c. And the area is safe as well .

We needed a reasonable, centrally located motel for a one night stay and this Travelodge was very adequate. Although it was somewhat dated it was affordable, clean, some aspects had been modernized and the location was very desirable. We would consider staying again.

Travelodge in Brea is a wonderful hotel for the value. Spacious rooms. Clean. Located right in downtown plenty of shopping and nightlife a quick walk away! Friendly helpful staff on hand 24 hours a day for all your needs. It sits in a hotel row of sorts with plenty of competition right next door even yet puts itself above and beyond all others in terms of value and quality

The property itself is okay. It was the making of the reservation and attempting to correct an error that proved to be a total nightmare.

This was supposed to be a simple one-night stay because of guests visiting. When I made the reservation online, somehow the DATE changed on me (I was booking on the Trevelodge site, not a third party). Yes, I should have caught this prior to completing the reservation, but correcting an error should not have been this much of a challenge.

I first noticed the error when I received the confirmation email. I immediately tried to call the property but was unable to reach anyone after multiple tries. Since it was about 8:30 at night I thought maybe no one was available so tried again the next morning.

I tried again to call the next morning and again had to make multiple calling attempts before finally reaching someone. However, the person who answered the call showed zero interest in wanting to help me at all and suggested I go online. When I went online to attempt to change, the site ultimately told me to call the property.

So, I called the property back again and after a lot of runaround and several times of being told to "hold on" while they talked to someone else, Finally, I was told to call back later after she spoke to the Supervisor. When I called back, she tells me now that there will now be a $350 deposit required with no explanation - to me it just sounded like they were throwing out a ridiculous number to get me to go away.

In complete exasperation, I left work early to drive to the hotel to hopefully get this straightened out. There were two male clerks on duty who took their time to even acknowledge I was there (I wasn't being difficult at all: I calmly went in hoping for a fresh start in this process). I explained that I was simply trying to change the date of my reservation and I was informed that the excessive deposit was because I had never stayed at this location. I told them that I HAD stayed either earlier this year or late last year, but apparently they were unable to find. At this point, I demanded to talk to the supervisor and he was able to work with me, explaining he was able to find my previous stay and they there would be no deposit required. After a couple of minutes talking with him, I thought we were finally settled. But I discovered when I went to check in the night of our stay, I was STILL charged a deposit - not the $350, but still ridiculous.

Hello Sir, I do apologize for any inconvenience faced due to the inability of our new front desk agents to grasp and understand the situation and the subsequent confusion. A deposit is required, as is standard of all new guests. And for this inconvenience please contact me directly in the future and I shall accord you with an appropriate discount on your stay.

When we got to the room they gave us someone in the next room must have been showering which was very noisy. This went on for a half hour before we decided we didn't want to put up with the noise and they moved us to another room, but closer to the street, so more traffic noise. The first night there were many people in the adjacent room who were up until at least 2 am talking and we could hear it all, although they weren't being particularly noisy - just no soundproofing. The room was clean. The floors were hard surface, so no nasty, dirty carpet. The faucet handle at the sink was loose like it was ready to fall off and we never could get hot water from it. But the shower had hot water. Mattress was hard, but we slept OK. Overall OK for a cheaper motel, but my husband said never again stay at Travelodge.

I stayed here recently for work close by. Everything about this place leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Spend your money elsewhere there's way better places and better people to rent from. The owner of the place is an extremely rude and hostile woman.

Room we stayed in needed painting finishing and repairs. Owner is now trying to charge me $65 for damages that my family nor I made...after leaving this hotel. Never will be back. Disappointed due to being a loyal Travelodge user. Won’t be using them anymore.

Zach, There was dent in the wall after you left. It was not so before the room was rented to you. Infact, that was the room we had reserved for Franchise Inspection, so we know that it was in immaculate condition. I know you will deny and you also mentioned in so many words that if we did charge you for damages you would write negative reviews about us. You have succeeded in doing so, while we know this brings down our reputation, we (you and I) know the truth and so does god almighty. God Bless

The owners were really polite and friendly when I came in March for work related meeting. The location is great with plenty of places to eat near by and the room was pretty clean. This place was worth every money I spent and I would definitely recommend this place.

The whole place has a stench. It's a smoking property. Couldn't wait to get home to shower the stench of that place off of me. Also, they might as well not bother having internet service since it barely crawls. Did I mention the rude staff? It's unbelievable this place has any stars at all!

Good value, but would not stay here more than one night. The bed was extremely uncomfortable (felt like I was sleeping on wood), the floor did not look like it had been cleaned in a while (hair and stains), very little toilet paper was left in the bathroom and no extra roll was available, front door did not fully close and let in light and sound. You can hear your neighbors so depending on who is next to you, it can be distracting. Some positives were the price, the a/c worked, and there was a tv. The shower wasn't too bad, and check-in and check-out was easy. It's OK if you need somewhere to crash for one night and need a shower, but would not recommend for more than one night and if you're planning to rest at the hotel.
