The Peninsula Beverly Hills boasts spacious and beautifully adorned rooms that have garnered high praise from guests, though a few find them to be less remarkable. The service is typically lauded for its attentiveness, but it's not without occasional lapses, such as slow room service. Guests enjoy the luxurious amenities, including an elegant afternoon tea and a sumptuous pool area, despite some reports of inadequate in-room conveniences. The hotel's atmosphere is consistently celebrated for its inviting elegance, and its prime location near Rodeo Drive is a highlight for visitors. While cleanliness receives commendation, opinions on value vary; some guests feel the experience justifies the premium cost, while others disagree.

Those who are looking for a hotel that goes above and beyond, The Peninsula Beverly Hills is the perfect choice. From the minute we walked into the door, the hotel was 5-star in every single aspect.

The rooms are beautiful and handy, from the digital tablet that controls all the settings for your room, the printer under the desk, the radio and television, to the continually replenished plate of fresh tangerines on the table, the floral curtain design, and the unique monogrammed pillows that you get to keep. They are spacious and light, thanks to their floor to ceiling windows.

The location is convenient, walking distance to Rodeo Dr and other main streets and shops in Beverly Hills. Not to mention that the hotel offers free drop-offs within Beverly Hills, in either their iconic Rolls-Royce Phantom, Cadillacs or BMW limousines, a fantastic way of getting around!

The rooftop area is ideal, and you mustn’t miss out on visiting it during your stay. Due to the size of the hotel, it being smaller than the others in Beverly Hills, The Peninsula feels more exclusive, is less busy and it enables the staff to pay more attention to individual guests. The pool, rooftop, gym and spa are all top-notch facilities.

The staff are excellent, the building is beautiful, clean and well maintained, the food at breakfast is all one can ask for and the garden and lobby are full of divine, fragrant flowers.

Of all the places to stay in central Beverly Hills, nothing comes close to The Peninsula standard, the epitome of luxury.

Stayed in the Peninsula for the final 5 nights of our very first trip to California. Talk about saving the best to last... the hotel is impeccable from the minute you pull up outside (and no, they don't care if you're not famous or who you are, you get the same welcome as everyone else). Check-in was quick, and we particularly loved being told we could check-out on our departure date at a time to suit us. This is such a nice touch. Our room wasn't ready as it was late morning so we were invited to have a drink in the bar while we sorted out our day and went for some lunch. The location is perfect with many shops and cafes within walking distance.

When we got back to our room we couldn't have been any happier, so quiet, so cosy with everything you need in both the room and the bathroom. Everyone we met, a lovely housekeeper, the concierge guys, the receptionists, bar staff, waitresses and pool boys, were all professional, friendly, eager to be helpful and ensure you had a wonderful stay. They certainly did so for us, we had a fabulous time, we absolutely loved the hotel and as we are expecting to be visiting Los Angeles many more times we know exactly where to stay.

I stayed here about 5 years ago and the hotel is as good as i recall. I was upgraded to a suite through Amex Platinum and I recommend rooms here with good light; the bungalows are in the garden area and are dark, which is where I stayed last time. The gym is as good as it needs to be, pool is very good (and was heated well enough that I swam there each night even though it was in the 50's and raining; and the jacuzzi next to it is really super on nights like that!). The suite was very nice and functional, and the hotel is easy to get in and out of. I never waited for an elevator which is an advantage of a hotel that has only several levels of rooms. Dinner at the Belvedere was excellent and the pastry chef is top notch; this has always been strong at this hotel. Breakfast was also excellent although I was perturbed at the lack of pastries aside from muffins and croissants; i was hoping for a nice danish or cake. You can get print newspapers delivered to your room, something that has become a special thing to mention.

There are a few things here that I don't particularly like that made me walk across the street to check out the Waldorf Astoria as an alternative. They could use a bathing suit dryer in the spa area near the pool. You have to walk around the hotel with a wet bathing suit after using the pool or jacuzzi and get it to dry in your room. I wound up leaving my bathing suit in my room because there was no way to get it dry for the trip home. There is no steam room in the spa; I don't like dry saunas and the one they have there is not really hot anyway. I was told that they used to have a steam room but had piping problems. I guess they just chose not to fix or relocate it but after several years it would be good to figure it out and fix this. The Waldorf has a steam room by the way. Their gym and pool area are comparable with killer views from the roof which has a good bistro up there.

Room faucets spray water but not like a normal faucet; in the spa they are fine, so I guess they just want to save money in guest rooms. It's annoying when you want to brush your teeth and things like that. I also don't like the bathroom amenities with these caps you have to open with a sharp point and the metal packaging makes them heavy and hard to squeeze. The Peninsula chain has a history of being a top-level luxury hotel and at least the bathing suit spinner ought to be there. Top hotels have those and they shouldn't cut corners like these.

The location here is convenient for Ubers and you are in the heart of Beverly Hills. The hotel compares well against the top hotels such as the Beverly Hills Hotel, the Montage and Bel-Air, but it has some rough edges lacking certain amenities that I really want when I travel, and it's not a slam-dunk favorite. I'd probably want to check out the Four Seasons Wilshire on my next visit.

I have been to afternoon tea several times but this is my first time at this location.

As the first person to arrive for afternoon tea service, I was mostly ignored. The hostess, who came after me, serviced a more vocal patron and then went to the biggest party afterwards. In fact, as she started seating people, I heard her say to someone else, because you were the first person here, I will seat you first. I took offense, as that statement was not true.

I was seated in a very sunny spot, and had very little shade. No one acknowledged this until the manager came to ask me if I would like a little more shade. The poor guy had to move the umbrella all by himself; for which I was very grateful.

In terms of the service, very little was explained to us. We felt like we were the least important people in the room, as we were the last to receive service. We had ordered several drinks, and I found that I was lacking in the water that I had ordered because of the sunny spot that I was seated.

The tray was divine looking but I found that there was substantially less food than at the other places that I had visited. In fact, there was only one small portion of each item on the three layers. It didn't give me a chance to enjoy it, especially since I was sharing. At other locations, they give you substantially more food for a substantially lower price.

The tea that I chose was the Peninsula Mango tea but it tasted more like a raspberry. No sugar was provided, so, it was quite tart. I also found that place settings were not readily available and we had to wait until after the first course was served which was the desiccated peaches with a mint ice cream. We watched it melt.

Eventually, other tables were served with water and also place settings. I had to ask for these things and sometimes I didn't get it.

Although, the experience was unique for Los Angeles, I felt that they could have done much better.

Always my favorite staycation and I repeat coming here monthly and choose to dine here during the business week

I love the rooms at the Peninsula they are very elegant and serene and when I need to escape from stress this is the place I would always choose. When I make a request it is always followed thru on and they have my profile in their system from my VERY frequent visits . I love the bathrooms and all the towels they supply ans I feel like a princess. The thing that is really great is they will customize what you like especially if you let them know and tell them for example I like two tooth brushes and a certain type of pillow. Always they take care of that for me and I don’t have to ask

The front desk is filled with smiles and professionalism and they know what room I love actually two rooms. And know my quirks about noise and sensitivity to any noise if a guest has a dog which happens but I prefer not to be near any dogs

I love the staff on the roof top they always treat me like gold including management at the roof top

The Belvedere is one of my favorite spots for breakfast and all the servers are very personable and know what I like

Ann, April -and Angelee. At the front desk and guest services have known me for a couple years and work so hard in the interest of the guests. They really know how to take care of all the Penjnsula BH guests

Another additional asset to the front office and somewhat of a hotel ambassador (maybe that’s his title ). Is Jim who works closely with the staff to pull all the pieces together

Concierge are always busy at work and as a local I rarely use them but I have heard excellent things about the concierge staff from many of the guest I have met over the last many years

The valet attendants are all top notch and they are the first and last thing you see when entering the hotel and they happily greet and serve all guests in a professional and positive manner

Management is excellent. GM Offer Nissenbaun and hotel manager Rebecca Goldberg are always walking the premises to make sure they are touching base with each guest and making sure everyone is satisfied and making conversation. I can assure you that does not happen at other hotels to the degree that these two impressive professionals look after their guests.

All I can say is why go somewhere else in Los Angeles if you have plans for the best most high end luxury stay !!!!!!

The bar in the lobby is also great, great food . Especially the dim sum and flatbread And excellent for people watching. You can order off more than the bar menu including the amazing salmon from the Belvedere

anyway. Don’t miss out on one of the best of the best

We had a great stay at the Peninsula Beverly Hills. It was a splurge for us, but I am glad we took the chance!

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had a Deluxe King room. You will get monogrammed pillowcases. Ideally both sides of the bed would have access to a USB port, but only one side did in our room. The bathroom was spacious with a tub and separate shower, and a small separate room for the toilet. The towels are vey plush.

The need was comfortable and the temperature easy to set. They provide an iPad or similar tablet to control the temperature, set the privacy light and other similar functions.

There is a daily turndown service too. If there was a weak point, this was it. One night the person came at 5:30pm, the next night at 8:30pm. There wasn’t enough consistency as to the timing.

The location was good too, at least by LA standards where everything is an hour away. We could walk to Rodeo Drive and the Lily Pond park with the Beverly Hills sign. There are several restaurants in the area.

The service is what stood out though. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. Bill the dining room manager and Boon the bellman were especially friendly. The front desk staff were always ready with a friendly greeting when we returned.

One could say they should be friendly and attentive at this price point, but they went above what was required. For instance, our room was not ready when we arrived so we were comped a beverage at lunch.

Both restaurants on site are very good, and the bar is as well. We did not try the afternoon tea.

You can’t go wrong here!

I had the best experience of any hotel at The Peninsula Beverly Hills. The hotel contacted me well before my stay to inquire about arrival times, preferences, etc. The dedicated concierge (at LAX) was fantastic. Upon arrival I was escorted to baggage pickup and the gentlemen retrieved luggage and escorted us to the waiting limousine. Perfect Upon arrival we were very warmly greeted and escorted to our room where a fruit basket, champagne and a birthday cake were all waiting (and were complimentary). The hotel is beautiful and every employee was wo professional and personal. This is hands down the best hotel I have had the pleasure of staying....not to mention when we departed to spend 5 nights at the Beverly Hills Hotel we were transported in a black Rolls Royce. 5 star So impressed with The Peninsula I changed my reservations (12/21 Tokyo) from The Ritz Carlton to The Peninsula Tokyo. I cannot say enough about this beautiful property.

This is one of countless visits to this and other Peninsula properties but i am so impressed with the Peninsula Beverly Hills management and staff while things are in upheaval around the world and they just do it right every time

The staff here are so wonderful. From valet to roof top pool service to concierge and room service it’s just one of these special places. The luxury and elegance of the property and the welcoming feeling I get every time I walk thru the front doors of this property make it hard to want to go home.

I had a chance to stay in one of the villas this time and they are beautiful and relaxing and elegant. I highly recommend this type of room accommodation

During my stay I spend a lot of time on the roof top, this particular weekend and past recent weekend I have been taken care of by Joseph the manager of the roof top garden in food and beverage also other staff Maria Rodriguez who just aimed to take care of me all day long. They are so professional and attentive and just continued to make all the guests happy. It’s so impressive that when there is this unusual situation going on in the world, It’s like it’s not even happening with this impressive group of people looking to uphold the standards of the Peninsula in Beverly Hills The front desk staff and head of rooms Young Yoon and everyone else who are so accommodating make this truly an experience a person wants over and over. When things get back to Regular pace I know I’ll be back and just as impressed.

The food is great. You can get almost anything you desire and it is just one delicious bite after another

This is a very special hotel. With very special people.

We spent 4 days in a standard room, nothing flashy or exorbitant, but we’re treated by the hotel staff like royalty. Not only is the physical plant of the hotel flawless, but the attention and care of the staff was surprising and delightful. We’ve stayed at other 5 star hotels in LOS Angeles, it the Peninsula was a whole level better in every way. They’ve won us over and The Peninsula will be our go to hotel in LA from now on.

This delightful Boutique Hotel is stunning in all levels! From the beautiful rooms and roof top restaurant/pool area to the exceptional service from the staff, this place simply emanates what you would expect in Beverly Hills. Drinks were delish and food pleasing to the the eyes and taste buds. Wonderful location for easy access to store and shopping but displaces to provide a peaceful restful experience.
A decisively lovely place to stay!
