Do not hesitate to book this resort. We will not go to another all inclusive unless it’s an Excellence, we were so spoiled here. Everything was taken care of the moment we arrived until we left. The staff was amazing, I can’t name them all but Edgar, Hector, Carmen, Alexander, junior, shaky shaky, Danny were a few of the best. We will be back!

There’s no words to describe the amazing weekend we had at Excellence El Carmen, since our arrival to departure everything was beyond excellent, just perfect. We were a group of nine having 5 rooms in different buildings all of them extraordinary clean and comfy, the mini bars and room service were super efficient, also the waiters and waitress of the different areas were always checking if we needed something, special thanks to Danny from the pool area and Carmen from the beach, also thanks to Delvis from Oregano restaurant who made sure that we eat properly during our stay, even when we were too busy drinking at the pool. Sunday night we had a special dinner for the group hosted by the chef Frankelly Castillo himself, we had no ideas of the menu, he just asked if we have allergies (thanks god we don’t) and guided us to a celestial culinary experience, we ate so much and so delicious that we clean every dish, thanks to Felix, Yoel, Eliezer, Palma and all the staff from the Excellence Club and Magna Restaurant. Thanks to housekeeping for having our rooms and areas always clean. Thanks to my people, Nicolas Ramos, Ibhar Vargas, Joel Santana, Mario Santana, Marlon, Alexander P., Wilquin Brito, Alejandro Aguilar, they made this wonderful experience even better. I have to recognize security people and his manager mr. Ramón because at all time we felt safe and without worries of letting our belongs at the beach beds and chair longs, that’s because we always saw security people around. Concerning to the global situation because of the Pandemic of Covid -19 I have to say that the hotel is fully signposted with information of how to wash’s your hands, the 6ft distance, tables are apart and they have safety kits all over the place (as you can see in pictures). This is a place WHERE YOU CAN FEEL SAFE AS HOME. Last but not least I have to thank to Mr. José Luis Piz and Mr. Felix Sánchez for ensure a welcoming, loving, and amazing experience, we will be back soon! Dominican Republic has it all, and you can feel safe to travel to Excellence El Carmen where they make sure that you have it all. Beautiful place with outstanding service. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay the best. Carmen was our favorite poolside beach server. She made sure we always had what we wanted. The activities crew Junior and Cassandra kept us engaged with the other guests. Variety of food and drink options available day and night.

The staff at EEC make the experience “excellente”! The hotel grounds are beautiful and the attention to detail is evident wherever you are. There are so many employees to recognize for various reasons. Spa services are world class and the therapists (Rosa, Ana, Sonia) rank up there with some of the best therapists we have experienced. The spa was spotless! The martini bar is a gorgeous focal point in the main building. The beauty is overshadowed by the delicious drinks and bartenders. Alexander, Aurelio, Maximo, and Edgar are truly mixologist and provide constant entertainment. They truly care about the happiness of each and every guest. It does not matter when or where you see them at the property, they have a smile for you and ask if it there is any thing they can do to make your day more enjoyable. The hospitality does not end indoors. A beautiful, short walk to the beach and you will find more staff members happy to greet you. We had the pleasure of meeting Ines, Rocio, Jensi, Alberich, and Carmen. These folks love what they do and the warmth and concern for guest happiness is palpable. Spend a few minutes talking with the lovely staff and you will walk away lighter and happier. Food in every restaurant is delicious! We were not disappointed with any meals we were served. I have a severe fish and shellfish allergy and before we were seated (for any meal), we were asked if any allergies. This was written down and highlighted with a bright color for the servers and kitchen staff. We loved starting our day with Francheska and Miriam. These ladies have smiles to light up any room and again, truly care about each guest they meet. There are many others to highlight...Yilda, Joel, and Alexander (Lobster House). Each meal felt like being at home (only more beautiful). The Concierge reached out throughout the week to check in with us and make sure we were fully satisfied. Our trip ended with Enrique ensuring we were in the vehicle that transported us to the airport, made sure our luggage was loaded, and sent us away with a smile and assurance they will be there to welcome us back “home” soon. Just got back from Excellence El Carmen. Amazing trip in the middle of these crazy times. Arrived at the airport and I must say, the private transportation from and to the airport that the hotel provided was absolutely amazing. Made us feel extremely safe and comfortable. Both drivers were extremely professional. We were received w champagne and a quick check in. The room was extremely on point in every way. Modern and clean. We had the plunge pool room which was nice but ended up just using the jacuzzi the entire stay not the actual pool. The beach and pool were very nice. The pool service was beyond amazing. Danny and Carmen were insane. Making sure we were having fun and not for a second did we feel like we needed a drink. In fact it was the opposite. I had to slow down a bit. Lol The entertainment crew were very nice. Always doing activities, getting everyone involved. This is not a party resort so don’t expect that level of craziness but they do what they can to keep everyone engaged. Shout out to shaky shaky and Coca Cola. Restaurants and bars were on point. The food wasn’t bad but def have had better in other resorts. Portions were a bit small too. The night entertainment was ok. Nothing crazy. The night died down super early. Bars closed at midnight if I recall correctly. Not sure if this is a covid thing but man that’s kind of early. Only real complaint is the aggressiveness of the the guys selling stuff at the beach. They just wouldn’t take no for an answer and kept coming over. So much we literally went once and never went back. Another complaint I guess is some weird rust kept coming out of the jacuzzi when we were using it. But I mentioned it to the manager and immediately it was fixed. Much appreciated. Overall.
