Seems through Covid many forgot their job or duties. With only 2 restaurants of 7 open and bar service at a minimum most dinners were slow service and beach bar service was nearly nonexistent. The room we booked was in a closed wing so we were given a lesser room until we complained. The room was supposed to include champagne and fruit basket on arrival, we never saw it. $1000 room credit was a jokingly discount off of inflated extras and offered on the 5th day of 7 day stay. Minibar refrigerator was a hot box that we were told would be fixed several times to no avail. Unlike most beach resorts the seaweed was never cleaned up over the entire week. Never was the sand raked and debris remained untouched. Overall the resort is beautiful but seams to fall short as a Karisma Resort. Great experience and hats off to Milkyway the restaurant manager for his great service and trying his best with limited resources. …
Scared to go, but SO glad we went! From Air Transat flight to hotel transfer via Nexus to accommodations and welcome at Prestige Membership check in by Fairy - it was a fantastic trip. Everyone respected all safety/sanitary precautions, never a concern. Masks required entering/leaving restaurants but not once you get to your table. Resort was not fully open but was fully operational. Meals rotated between the restaurants so you got to try almost all of them (only one never opened), and you could order 'off menu' if needed (which never was in our case!) Breakfast buffets were served by staff as you moved along the line - very efficient and no shortage of selection. Edwin was our server at majority of dinners - FANTASTIC. Mario also was a server for some meals and Mamawana flowed. Beach is beautiful...and then we met Kenny our beach butler! Best service ever - rain or shine - bali bed/chaise lounge in prime spot, and drinks were plentiful. Went for Adults only getaway, Adults section closed so some kids in restos & pools but not too many and still felt like 'Adults only'. Karina at Prestige was so helpful with everything. Management readily available and pitching in (including serving on buffet lines at SugarCane resto!) Everyone friendly and working to make your stay perfect - they care that they follow the rules to stay open and its evident in how accommodating they were to any request and every detail. We even did an excursion (snorkeling) through Nexus which was great (except some people picked up at other resorts were not wearing a mask on the bus ride which we felt should have been enforced in the enclosed space and mentioned when we got back to our resort). Resort Occupancy easily down by 50% but service was 100% so it was actually the perfect combination - no crowds, no reservations needed anywhere. You can social distance just by virtue of the low occupancy. Met plenty of nice people, locals and Americans were majority if not Canadian (no travelers from Europe while we were there). Some evening entertainment,. over by 9. Bars open and cozy courtyard to enjoy the warm nights. In the end they need you and you need this - was a perfect break during these crazy times! Highly recommend for those who want to get away but stay safe. Karisma Resorts never disappoint!! Bring Sunscreen - with Covid they don't provide to members (like they did pre-Covid) and its expensive in the gift shop $25!!…
We can not say one bad word about this resort. We visited in December 2019 for our honeymoon. Our room was of high standard, plenty of space and cleaned every day to perfection! On arrival we had complimentary chocolates and champagne! Plenty of options for 24 hour room service. Always plenty of loungers available on the beach to sit back and relax. All staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble, when walking around the resort they would always greet you with a hello and a smile. Gazebos dotted around the resort with staff available to speak to for advice or to book treatments or day trips was very handy! We visited the spa twice and received a 5* service, recommend the full body massage and use of the hydrotherapy before hand was an added touch. Great entertainment in the vino vino bar and a big thank you to the bar staff for their excellent service including the bar staff outside in the plaza at the pop up bars Great selection of restaurants to suit most people's needs we made sure to visit each one. Sports hall and sport activities held each day, archery was good fun! Everyone made our time at tui sensataroi very special and memorable and will definitely recommend. Thank you!!…
We reviewed this resort last year. We revisited in December 2019 and we recommended to anyone, really! Great for families the beach is great for a swim. The pools are great for children. The sports centre is well equipped. Plenty of room for everyone. Adults only area is chilled with pools for adults. If you can book swim up it will add extra style and style to your holiday. All staff are great. I have to thank once again the girls from play house made our son feel very special again. The vibe throughout the resort is very relaxed. Restaurants are great food plentiful and tasty. Entertainment day and night is up there with the best resorts we visited. Elevating the Sensatory brand to new heights. Machuca everyone!
