Everything is great. Pet friendly, full size kitchen, large room. Tvs are too small and old. Internet is slow. Kitchen floor ( tiles) are dirty and not mopped. No water given like other hotels. Kitchen has everything you need to cook a good meal, but... Room 1604 was haunted. I could not sleep through out the night without someone poking me. I felt as if someone kept pushing my back and it was not my dog for sure. She was gnawing the whole time we were there, especially during the nights. It was not her usual self. I don't believe in ghost and I am not afraid. We decided to check out for a better place so I could sleep.
A friend of mine and I visited Tyre (Sour) in Lebanon and we stayed at the Platinum Hotel here. We are most impressed with the hotel. The rooms are clean, the staff are so friendly and the owner is delightful. The service has been outstanding in that whatever we requested, e.g a hairdryer and to ask them to adjust the air-conditioner due to the cold weather, someone was there to assist within 2 minutes of the call. The pool area and outside courtyard is stunning. Such a pity our time there was rained out. They also have a spa with a sauna and steam room and a hammam spa. The breakfast was pleasant and typically Lebanese but the breakfast staff were very obliging. On the Sunday that we were there, it was pouring with rain and there was no way to venture out for a taxi so the owner himself gave us a ride to the restaurant! How absolutely sweet. It is also a 5min walk to the Hipperdrome (Athaar al Bass). All in all, a great experience. We will highly recommend this hotel.…
I kind of love this place. Last time I stayed, I was in the "Angelina Jolie" suite on the third floor. It was weird and wonderful to spend the night with various 2-D images of her. In the winter the place is mostly empty and has a "fin de siecle" feel about it. But the staff are homely and friendly and really welcoming with kids.
Worst hotel to book in. The manager is rude and totally unprofessional. Opportunistic attitude and unethical behavior unlike all the persons I met in tyr. The location is extremely bad. Not recommended at all it is most probably the worst hotel in tyr.
Good location near the historic site -our room was upgraded so that we had an apartment rather than a single room, the pool was pleasant and our stay was memorable. The management did all they could to make us feel welcome and I would certainly recommend it for other travellers.
Service was friendly and the room comfortable. Nice looking swimming pool although i didnt try it. Breakfast was good. The shower in the room created a bit of a comedy - either boiling hot or freezing cold. Overall it was good but a little old. Main issue was the location as it felt a bit away from things. On reflection it would probably have been better to pay a little extra to stay in the christian quarter.
People in Tyre are extremely kind and helpful.. But we cannot say exactly the same for the receptionists of this hotel. The price is for sure one of the cheapest in town, but with a bit more you can get something better in an area closer to the Christian area, which is absolutely cute and deservs to be discovered. 5 stars to the guy working at the breakfast room: very kind person!
I reserved a room through booking.com. once we arrived there we were shocked of the location. A tire changing shop right next to it. Horrible. Anyways we were provided a room on the 8th floor the highest. I cannot and will not tell you how old the rooms are and how horrible. I made a fuss and wanted to leave but the Manager wanted make sure I'm happy and was provided a bigger room a suite actually on the newly remodeled 3rd floor but no view of anything. The night passed as we only used it for sleeping. The facility needs to be taken care much more before granting it a 4 star grading. By the way breakfast wasn't that great.
we saw the lobby, restaurant and 2 rooms and run away. It is a 4 stars hotel but should be 2. In lebanon it is easy to have stars. Rooms : clothets old, bed weak, bathroom rusty and old, towels mostly broken. Furnitures very cheap. No coffee no nothing in the rooms and expensive for what you have.
I stayed last month for a business trip. Location is not good. No sea view and no beach access such Rest House hotel. Staff are vey kind and helpful. Rooms are clean. Breakfast needs major improvements from layout, buffet display and restaurant setups. I like the pool. Overall is average for leisure and not bad for overnight business stay. Cheers
