We stayed at Tigh Na Sith on Tues 7th Sept for one night on our NC500 trip. We had great communication before we arrived with useful info emailed to us. Irene offered to book us a table at Peets which was greatly appreciated & we had a lovely meal there in the evening. Irene & David gave us a really warm friendly welcome. The B&B is located just off the main street & is well signposted. Our room was huge, as was the bed and we had a lovely view. We had everything we needed in our lovely room and it felt like home from home. Breakfast was served downstairs and was absolutely delicious. Irene & David were perfect hosts and were friendly & chatty. Irene recommended a few places to see on our trip. Lochinver was lovely and we were lucky enough to encounter the local wildlife up close! A few Deer and a Slow Worm!! We could have happily stayed longer. A bag of sweets for our onward journey was a really nice touch by Irene. We highly recommend Tigh Na Sith Guest House and hope to return in the not too distant future.

Having stayed in 9 different B&B's/Hotels on our trip round the NC500, this property was by far the best we encountered. This couple offer an experience that no other came close to and the attention to detail was incredible. Everything about it was special, the house was immaculate and the greeting on arrival was the most welcoming by far . Our room was spacious and had everything you could think of to make our stay a real "home from home". David and Elaine's communication skills were exceptional, they really covered everything imaginable in advance of us having to ask. The breakfast was fantastic, all locally sourced produce I believe and it really set us up for the day ahead. Elaine "worked" the tables over breakfast and was quick to advise all her guests on the points of interest/routes etc. depending on your plans for the day. On departure, she gave us a small bag of sweets for our journey (My wife demolished the lot !), a really nice touch and ending to our brief stay. She even took the initiative to reserve us a table at a great restaurant in the village to ensure that we had somewhere to eat that night, she did'nt have to do that but it was much appreciated (Peet's too is well worth a visit). This business deserves the highest rating given to B&B's, if we are ever looking to revisit this part of the world, Tigh Na Sith will be the only place that we would try to book, thank you both for an exceptional stay.

I booked this B&B months ago, and a short while after I booked, Irene (one of the owners) phoned me to say that the place she normally books her guests into for dinner, ‘Peets’, was filling up fast, so she asked if I wanted her to book a table for us which we greatly appreciated as we had an absolutely lovely meal there during our stay and the restaurant was completely full for the evening. As for the actual stay, the B&B was very nice and the owners were really welcoming and couldn’t have done more to ensure that our stay was the best it could be. Irene showed us to our room and explained their Covid rules and what herself and David were doing to ensure the cleanliness of the B&B and the safety of their guests. We had the room on the top floor which had a beautiful view of the village/sea below. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very nice with a great shower. Breakfast in the morning was great, I started with the homemade cranachan and as I’m vegetarian I had eggs, beans, potato scone, toast, etc. and my boyfriend had the full breakfast which he said was delicious. After breakfast, Irene gave us a map and showed us all of her and David’s recommendations which was really helpful and we ended up doing most of the things they suggested. The B&B is very central and is walking distance to the main shop, Peets, the harbour and a cash point. We also noticed that there is an electric car charging port at the carpark at the bottom of the drive. I would definitely stay with Irene and David again, and intend to next time I’m driving us the North West coast.

We stayed with Irene and David whilst completing the NC500. They made us feel really welcome and it did feel "like a home from home". Communication in advance was excellent and nothing seemed too much trouble. Our room was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was freshly prepared, with a varied menu. By this point we were beginning to get bored by the normal Scottish cooked breakfast so having other healthy choices was a great added extra. The morning Cranachan pot (hope that's how you spell it!) was just the best that we didn't get anywhere else
