Stayed at Mercure Selayang recently as part of work related trip Rooms are spacious and clean. Bed is comfortable as well. With a price tag of approximately RM180 (Approx 45usd per night) including breakfast, this place is quite a bargain Not to mention great views from the rooftop gym and pool! Recommended for a short stay at Selayang.
Stayed here for 1 night in a Superior Room with 2x Twin beds. It cost about £30 / 162MYR. Overall, it was a nice stay. The room was clean and spacious. It was nicely decorated and seemed very modern. The beds were comfortable and the wifi was fast and the AC was powerful. The front desk staff were nice and free parking is a bonus. We did not have a chance to use any of the room service/Gym/Pool etc so unable to comment. The only negative was the bathroom layout from a privacy perspective. e.g. I stayed with one of my parents and you can see right into the bathroom from the beds as the toilet/shower are segregates and only have frosted glass doors.
Had a 3day 2night stay at this hotel after a long hiatus since 2020. Been staying with them since a Gold member. Being an Accor platinum, i got my room to be upgraded to a suite, a courtesy of Ceceila, the front desk manager. She is a really a gem. Easy going, accomodating but never lack of profesionalism. Huge room, complimentary mini bar, welcome fruit platter. Ceceila even offered a late check out which i did not really need. Had a short workout at the small but well equipped gym. The infinity pool which overlooks part of selayang is another attraction. Not forgetting the housekeeping team who cleaned my room to a tip top condition as well as the wait staff at Meraki restaurant where I had my complimentary breakfast and welcome drink for 2 pax. While food selection for breakfast was rather limited but I had no complaints for the rate i am paying. Staff and the restaurant manager Mr Azrul were very attentive. Kudos! Meraki has very affordable prices on a la carte. Accor plus members get generous discounts which makes it even better. All in all, Mercure Selayang is an underrated hotel that worths to be mentioned. Will not hesitant to return anytime.…
📍Mercure Selangor Selayang ✅3 days 2 night stay ✅RM 150 /night (Inclusive of Breakfast) , Total Rm 300 ✅Superior Room ✅Booked through Accorhotels website For those needing to stay around Selayang, Mercure Selayang is quite affordable. For the price of Rm 150/night inclusive of breakfast for 2, it was worth it. This place is really convenient if the plan is to go to Hospital Selayang, or to visit Batu Caves, 99 Wonderland Park, or even Genting Highlands. Check-in was smooth. Lovely reception which was neat. Sadly, when it was raining and I asked for an umbrella, there were no umbrellas available for use. The staff are friendly. The room is simple and straightforward. What I enjoyed was the rain shower - really strong, with nice warm water. The infinity pool has a view of Selayang which is lovely. Being rather small, it can get squeezy when there are many guests. But it's still pretty nice. The breakfast spread was standard - Nasi Goreng, Mee Goreng, curries, cereals, bread. I quite enjoyed it, being the typical Malaysian I am. The only thing that spooked me was the head of the restaurant which at first, warned me not to take photos of the food. I explained that I like writing reviews, and he apologised for abruptly stopping me. If I have errands or plans around Selayang, I wouldn’t mind coming again. Apparently, I hear that there are beautiful waterfalls nearby this area as well.…
Stayed here few times after last review, everything good as last time except one incident. They gave me a morning call by drilling the wall at 9am just next to my room, i think sometimes small detail can be the difference between good and very good hotel .
just stayed here 1 night recently during RMCO period, very quiet and able to check in earlier. Front desk only open till 11pm now, and others facilities are closed during my stay. breakfast is served in ala cart style. Location wise a bit out of town area, not much restaurants to choose within walking distance. Free parking available. Given room on 6th floor, key card needed to access the lift. Everything good except sound proof with next room very poor, can hear clearly what they are talking all night. overall a basic and clean hotel in Selayang area.
The hotel was clean and very nice. It is a four star hotel with very nice view of KL from the rooftops pool. The room I'm in was superior suite with sofa. The room was clean and everything were in order as expected from accor group of hotels.
What I liked 1. Comfortable bed. Big mirror. 2. Cozy room ambience. 3. Breakfast very basic. But not bad. 4. Location is convenient for Visitors. 5. Contemporary design. 6. Very big corridor and spaces. 7. Convenience parking lot. 8. Free parking minimum 2hours every entrance. 9. Built in hairdryer What I disliked 1.Hot shower is too hot. Cold shower pressure limited. Difficult to adjust. 2.Wardrobe too far from Bathroom. Serve no purpose. 3.Pillow could be softer. I prefer soft pillows. 4.Pendant always knock my head. Too low. 5.Feel emptiness spaces. 6.Exhaust WC very noisy. 7.No enough hook in the WC. What I prefer 1.Breakfast could be more options 2.Must pick the Higher room to have better landscape window view. Above 15th levels is great. 3.Luggage rack spaces must be near to bathroom.…
i book superior room with 1 double bed but i get 2 single bed... i ask to front desk but he say in system i book 2 singgle bed... aircond very hot!!! 16 with high fan but still hot... breakfast good but not much choice... parking ok... lift ok.... smell good.. only because my room 509 aircond very hot i give no stars!!
Really too far for me, but the hotel itself not bad at all. The question is why someone would open a beautiful hotel like this in the middle of nowhere in a ghostmall? Well, not my problem. Very well treated, especially Cecilia Yang and Eugene have to be mentioned. The room was spacious, the frigobar not cooling:0. Breakfast was pretty good. Nothing to complain. Far from the center, around 15km ? There is a lightrail station, but even getting there costs you 1 hour or ypu always will take a cab. Well, nothing is perfect.
