We stayed at Liakoto for a week in June and could not recommend it enough. Rooms were really smart and had everything we needed, the pool area was lovely (with bar serving drinks/light snacks throughout the day), and the staff were hugely attentive and friendly throughout our stay. The hotel is in the perfect spot for access to the sea - the most beautiful swimming platform/beach is just 2 minutes walk from the pool - and also to Kardamyli with loads of restaurants, bars and gift shops. We won't hesitate to recommend Liakoto to our friends and will definitely be back!

Can’t fault this hotel. We had both a mountain view off the bedroom and sea view from the balcony attached to the kitchen area, both simply stunning. Room spacious, bathroom more than adequate, bed big and comfortable. Pool lovely. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Kardamyli is a great base to explore the delights of West Mani which is a really beautiful area.

We stayed in room 219 which had a balcony looking over the Mediterranean Sea. It couldn’t have been more perfect. The room is equipped with a kitchenette and small fridge with plenty of service ware. The bed is super comfortable and the room has a rare European ceiling fan. Breakfast can be ordered and delivered to the room. The staff was friendly and very helpful, including getting us dinner reservations with another sea view at the last minute. The only downside was the slow and sometimes non-existent wifi; however you are here to get away. Put your phone away and you won’t notice! Stay here for your relaxing Kardamyli getaway.

I’ve been visiting Liakoto in Kardamyli for five years now; twice a year if I can manage it. I always arrive a crumpled, stressed out mess from London. But instantly this very special place does it’s healing. Is it the welcome, the Greek hospitality or the ouzo that does it; who knows but it’s why so many visitors keeping coming back! It’s a three hour (cheap) flight to Kalamata and then an hour’s drive. The village is idyllic - around 400 locals and about a dozen brilliant restaurants, tavernas and bars. Never had a bad meal and always so reasonable. The hotel is family run by Ilia and Gerry and all the staff are just fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are clean and well equipped and have beautiful mountain and sea views; go for a twin aspect if possible. The pool is just perfect and the sea (a one minute walk) is great for swimming. This very gorgeous spot will cast a spell….you’ll be back. And so will I!

We spent ten days in Kardimili staying at the Liakoto. Super attentive service from the staff. Beautiful apartment room with well equipped basic kitchen. Plentiful breakfast served to your room, for eating on the balcony directly viewing the sea. It did rain for seven of our ten days but the contrasting views over the sea and mountains were marvellous. We will definitely return.

WE stayed at the Liakoto at the end of October after a long haul of a year. We arrived exhausted but our hosts were super friendly and our ground floor apartment -which had a balcony overlooking the sea - and one overlooking the pool was clean, airy, had a huge very comfortable bed, a welcome bottle of wine and everything we needed. The following morning they brought breakfast to our room - enough to feed a whole family - cheeses, yoghurt, cold meats, home made cake, honey, bread, boiled egg, nuts, olives, tomatoes, freshly squeezed orange juice...Kardamyli in October was not crowded, the sea is warm, the temperature about 24. We strolled up the to Old Kardamyli along the cobbled paths covered with wild pink cyclamen, we watched sunsets on glorious terrace after terrace, swam in the sea, read novels for the first time for ages and ate wonderfully well. The Liakoto was a great base for all of this. Would we come again? Yes. Would we recommend it? Yes!

Second year at the Liakoto - though we spend most days at Anniska. Our appertment room at Liakoto is spot on. Great air con, but also a very silent ceiling fan in the bedroom - keeps bedroom cool without too much need for air con overnight. Lovely views of the see and the hills. Staff are just great. Rooms kept very clean. Either here or Anniska are good places to stay if visiting Kardamili. Swimming and snorkelling off the rocks at Anniska is fantastic - just so many fish to see.

This was our fourth stay at Liakoto. It seems to get better ever time we go. Comfortable, beautifully maintained, right at the edge of the most glorious sea and with the best staff. We had sea facing studio on the ground floor with two generous balconies - one onto the sea and the other facing the lovely pool. There is a useful kitchenette and the whole studio is kitted out to a high standard and immaculately clean. The pool area is glorious. We love it here.

We stayed one night at Liakoto. We had a lovely room right on the front overlooking the sea. We were given a bottle of wine on arrival which we had just as the sun set over the water. It was a lovely start to our brief stay. The room had everything we needed and it was a shame we only had 1 night. The pool area is lovely. I went for a swim in the sea off the nearby pier. The water in this part of the world is so warm. Staff were lovely and helpful. Kardamyli is a lovely little town.
