The location of this hotel is great because it’s walking distance from the historical site. The hotel staff is very dedicated and kind to families. Kids got a bear shaped pancake from the chef. The room had new furniture and was very clean. From the rooftop restaurant you have a very nice view of Petra city with all the lights on. Menu is limited but excellent dining service with well trained staff.

Our family of five stayed at Petra Moon three nights at the end of August 2019. The location is the best! And it was really conveninet to be so close to Petra's entrance. The rooms were comfortable and the showers good. Also the swimming pool was a plus. The whole staff is extremely welcoming and does that little extra for you. We really enjoyed the roof top with the delicious afternoon tea and tasty as well as generous BBQ at night. Thank you so much to Petra Moon management and the staff!!!

We stayed 2 nights at Petra Moon with our tour group. The location is just a short walk from entrance to the Petra old city. The room was clean & beds comfortable. Breakfast & dinner were superb with lots of varieties .No need to go out. Only downside for western travellers, no alcoholic beverages as it is a dry hotel but can be located a short walk from hotel. Would return there without a doubt. Highly recommended Read less

My guess is your reason for being in town is to enter the Siq and Petra archeological sites. If so, this hotel is just a few minutes walk to the museum and entrance to Petra. A stones throw from the gate. The rooms and food are nice. Good bed and shower. Ours had a musty smell, so not an excellent rating.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view. A two-day pass to Petra is only $5 more than a one-day pass.

We recently stayed at this hotel as part of a tour we were on. Excellent location within close proximity to the ancient city. Breakfast and dinner were included and the food was fabulous! Rooms were clean and not too much noise considering all the renovations going on at the place. This is a dry hotel so if you are looking to have a drink you can go across to Movenpick which has happy hour or nearby Kilkenny Hotel .
