There during start of Coronavirus pandemic. Despite projected loss of business, the owner and his staff were totally sympathetic and went out of their way to assist us. Even allowing us free access to international phone calls so we could expedite our return home . Otherwise, a lovely stay in a family run hotel.
If there was a rating on TripAdvisor of between 'average' and 'very good', then I would have given this hotel that rating. I stayed here for three nights as part of an organised tour while visiting Petra. The hotel looked nice enough from the outside, it's a little way away from central Wadi Musa but not too far. My room was nice enough if very small. Slightly reminiscent of Soviet-era in style, but not looking worn. There were 2 twin beds in the room, I wasn't sharing with anyone but if I had space would have been very cramped. The thermostat was centrally controlled and it was slightly too warm for my liking. The bathroom was a little small but perfectly ok. There was a half-size bath with a shower in it, and during peak times the water pressure could get a little low. There was wifi which was mostly fine if a little slow. The hotel had a swimming pool and a jacuzzi. The swimming pool was properly cold (maybe around 15*C), but I doubt they would turn the heating on during low season. The jacuzzi was lovely, but at times a bit crowded. We had breakfast every morning, and dinner twice. The buffet area didn't look massive, but the food on offer was actually really good. For breakfast there was a chef making fresh omelettes and pancakes which were delicious! The dinner was very good as well, they made especially for us Mansaf on our first night which was superb. There is a small smoking room to the side of the reception which felt very homely, think of a British-style pub with a fire. Once we ordered shisha here, and that was an interesting experience!…
This hotel is a 5-10 min walk to local restaurants and a 20 min walk to the Petra Visitor Centre main entrance and Museum. A great location, with very friendly staff. The restaurant provided a wide choice for breakfast, including eggs ccoked your way. The Turkish Steam bath and massage and indoor pool was a big hit with some on our tour.
Was here as part of a group tour. Dinner was included. First night it was luke warm and I was there when dinner service open at 6.30pm. Second night not that much better. Coffee for both mornings was the worst I had experienced in all my years of travel. TV wouldn’t work but I wasn’t that concerned with that aspect.
In Wadi Musa, about a 20 minute walk down, 30 minutes back up from Petra. The glossy entrance way is the best maintained bit. The reception staff were helpful, there is a lift for luggage up to the higher floors. The room was triple glazed, helpful for the mosque outside, and kept it warm which was good in December when cold outside. No tea, coffee or water in the room. The fridge also helped keep the room warm, but only if the electricity card was left plugged into the slot. Electrics interesting overall, lots of different socket types, not all functional. Bit like the bathroom: many tiles not all matching and clearly attempts to fix the many grimy cracked ones by literally tiling over the cracks. Breakfast usual ‘international ‘ fare. Omelettes probably the best bet, but the hot plate does make the W hole dining area smell of cooking oil. …
