Detailed Reviews
Warm welcome on a very cold day from Sami and a herbal tea and fruit plate.
We were given room 210 which had a small balcony overlooking the Petra area.
The room had a large comfortable bed and thankfully a very heavy thick blanket seeings the temperature had dipped unusually to minus degrees during our March stay. The heater in the room helped but the bathroom was very cold.
Sami was immediately helpful at recommending a perfect itinerary for our 3 night, 2 day stay. To take the main entrance into Petra to the Treasury on the first day. Then to drive our car to the main entrance on the 2nd day and take a taxi to the little Petra backdoor and walk to the Monastery. Taxi costs at the time from the main Petra entrance to the Little Petra backdoor JOD15 the taxi driver will point the way. We loved the backdoor route. Good shoes are needed wherever you are in Petra.
Such lovely touches during our stay with little treats left in the room after a long days walking.
Breakfast had delicious pastries from the local bakery just a few metres from the hotel. The falafel were good and the coffee nice and strong.
Would definitely recommend staying here. A lovely 'feel' to the hotel.
Easy parking, clean, great location. Though do note if you intend to walk to Petra based on the 15 min Google maps info it's downhill on the way there but very steep uphill on the way back.
We wish everyone at the hotel all the best for the future.

We stayed for one night and on arrival I was travel sick and was kindly offered a herbal tea to settle my stomach. It worked wonders and after a short rest in the very comfortable reception I was ready to spend the day exploring the sights at Petra.
Sami is knowledgeable and warm, friendly and chatty. He gave us some great advice about entering Petra at the opposite side in order to explore as much as possible over our 2 day visit.
The room was very comfortable with a lovely selection of fruit, water and chilled soft drinks.
I don't know the name of the lovely Ghanaian lady who works in the kitchen area but she was very helpful and did a miraculous job of cleaning my very dusty walking boots before I checked out, a thoughtful and unexpected gesture.
This hotel is excellent value for money and highly recommended.

We arrived at Petra Plaza hotel after a 3 hour drive from Amman. The hotel was lovely and bright and airy and we were greeted with delicious tea and wonderful hospitality from Zara who helped to take our bags to our room. The room was lovely and clean with complimentary mini bar (non-alcoholic) and snacks which was a welcome treat.
We asked for recommendations for a local restaurant which did not disappoint, we were also given helpful tips for Petra at night (get there early) and were directed to free parking by Petra (a 3 minute drive down the hill).
We were given a great packed breakfast for our early start to Petra the next day (sandwiches, fruit, water). On our final day we enjoyed the hotel buffet breakfast which was a really fabulous spread.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. It was very affordable, clean, comfortable, had a nice breakfast, and most importantly, has an amazing staff. They were so kind and very helpful, giving us great advice on how to maximize our time and money in Petra. They also provide laundry service for an affordable price, and can do it even if you are staying one night. Checkout is at noon which provides enough time for a half day in Petra on the day you leave. 10/10 would definitely recommend. Support this hardworking business.

What an absolute gem! We’d struggled to book a few hotels that we had wanted to stay at in Petra and ended up at the Petra Plaza but I am so glad we did. From the moment we stepped into the door, the staff were exceptional. Warm, kind and caring, nothing was too much for them. They have insightful and incredibly useful tips about when and how to visit Petra and also local attractions and restaurants. The housekeeping staff were also wonderful- from their kind greetings and welcomes when you arrive to the way the rooms are beautifully serviced each day, they were just wonderful. The hotel also offers many extras on the house which is such a lovely touch- our rooms were stocked each day with free drinks, fruit and snacks and whenever we sat outside in the courtyard we were always offered a cup of tea or coffee. Breakfast was also a good spread for a continental offering. I can’t recommend this hotel enough- an absolute gem.

I really liked this hotel to visit Petra. First, the rooms are big, well decorated and new, the view of mountains from the window is awesome, the mattress is high quality and we sleep really well (it's comparable to a bed in a 5*****). The bed is a real King Size. It's really well situated, we had all restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries at 50m by foot. The location is strategic in the city. The Visitor Center (main gate) to enter to Petra Site is at 20mn by foot. A free parking, Wifi super fast, A/C working like a charm.
The staff is very attentive. Always a kind word. We had great dinners at a very reasonable price in the hotel (comparable to restaurants around) and the setting of the restaurant is beautiful so that made sense for us and we had great time in family there. We will certainly come back to this hotel and we recommend it. It's the best value for money in town.

I had a lovey stay in Petra Plaza. It is a small and cozy hotel, in downtown Wadi Musa. The entrance to Petra is within walking distance, and there are many nice restaurants in the hotel surrounding.
The rooms are very comfortable and very well-equipped, and the complimentary breakfast is very tasty and offers plenty of choices. The best part about the hotel is the staff! They always welcome you with a warm smile, and they are happy to answer any questions. It is great family-run hotel. The staff even gave us a souvenir upon check-out. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

This hotel is located about a 2 minute drive from the Petra Visitor Centre, it isnt close but it is a straight forward downhill walk to the visitor centre. The location is otherwise good with excellent views over Petra from the hotel window and a lovely balcony to watch sunset from. The rooms are comfortable and clean with all the amenities/facilities you need. Breakfast was good. Most importantly, the staff were lovely and so kind, they did all they could to make your trip and stay brilliant. Little touches like a drink on check-in and fruit basket were really really amazing and made us feel so welcome. Thank you very much.

This small hotel is one of the most pleasant and hospitable places we stayed during our 7-day trip to Jordan. Nice small gestures like everyday compliments of fruits or sweets make you feel special and valuable guest.
The place is clean and well maintained. But the most wonderful thing here are the sincere smiles on the faces of the people who develop this place.
Thanks for your kindness!

It is but the walk is quite steep. And you'll need all your walking energy to get round Petra.
