Writing a review here as this host completely lied in my partners honest review of this place. The room was absolutely disgusting. All of the dishes were unwashed, and you could tell every inch of the place had not be cleaned. Let's not forget to mention that the host left a disgusting molded food product within the freezer of our place, leaving our fridge unusable. The host tried to lie to us to say it was just cleaned, then had nothing to say about the disgusting molded freezer. We also had to beg for toiletries (such as toilet paper, etc) as the host just so happened to "forget" that these are necessities. Then he has the audacity to wonder why we are unhappy in his disgusting place. The host also lied and said "the supermarket owner told me what you did With him when I went to buy some things from him." We were nothing but kind to this worker, so I'm not sure why the host is blatantly lying to make us look bad. We actually spent a lot of money at this place and were nothing but kind to him. I cannot believe that the host would stoop this low. I'm praying to the universe this hosts karma catches up quickly with him. Also, I'm convinced that the good reviews are this hosts friends. I've never stayed at such a bad place and had such an awful host. He is a deceiving terrible human that deserves what's coming to him. SHAME ON YOU!

Excellent. Good and clean rooms. Great shower. AC works perfectly. This place is simple but very comfortable. The owner is always there to help. Generous breakfast with Jordan food from a restaurant with a nice view. We didn't have a previous booking, and we just went there. He made a special price for us so we stayed 2 nights.

We stayed 3 nights at Petra 555. The hospitality of the owner and his family is outstanding! Everything was spotless. Rooms were comfortable and equipped with kettle, hairdryier, tea and coffee. Bathroom was clean and new, shower super hot. The location is also a bonus (only 15 minutes walk to visitor centre). The owner's wife cooked a delicious meal for us (10jod per person) and then we shared tea with the owner and listened to his stories. His sons are very nice, helpful and polite as well. Very recommended. I Would definately come back!

Good location for getting to Petra and into to the town centre, all walkable but taxis should cost 1 to 2 dinars max. Yahyah was very welcoming and sorted out travel to Wadi Rum for us as well as collecting our friends from the border. He also added in a highly recommended traditonal dinner for 10 dinar per head and a packed lunch for Petra that came in very useful. Yahyah will likely tell you the tale of how Petra 555 got its name too. Rooms are are clean and have things you need like hairdriers. What was really nice was that his grandkids and kids were visiting too and they were a lot of fun to speak to and practice Arabic with.

We stayed in this hotel three night and was the best hotel in our trip in Jordan. The room and the bathroom were very clean, the bed was really really comfortable and the shower was amazing. Every room has a boiler to make coffee and tea. The owner of the hotel is very friendly and open to every request. We woke up and left very early every morning and we coudn’t have breakfast with the other guests at breakfast time, so every night his wife prepared it for us so we can have breakfast at the time we needed. She is a very good cook: the breakfast is fantastic and she can also cook for you a delicious typical dinner for 10 jd for person. After dinner you can have tea and share stories with all the family. We enjoyed the dinner and the time togheter very much. From the hotel to Petra entry is downhill so you can do it easily by foot in 10 minutes. From Petra to the hotel is uphill, you can do it by foot or with a taxi for 2 jd. In front of the hotel there is a mosque so you can hear the sing of the muezzin also in the night, but the second night we already got used to it and we didn’t even hear it. This was absolutely the best hotel in the whole trip. All the family is really kind and friendly and they treat you as part of the family. If you need anything you can ask them and they’re really happy to help you. Highly recommended.
