Stayed here for a couple of nights while road tripping Jordan. Nice rooms/tents. Excellent food. ~15mins drive to Petra. Beautiful at night! Stayed here based on a friends recommendation. In turn, I now definitely recommend it!
This Bedouin camp is set by a rocky area which provides a great setting for the tents. There is big tent that holds the dinning room, a second and third which provide communal area to socialize, rest and relax with a chimney that provided heat and a never ending supply of sweet tea. These tents also have WiFi and plenty of electric plugs to charge all type of devices. Further down you walk towards the tents area all of them spread around and in the center the communal bathrooms. Tents are very basic, just a bed with many covers (it was winter and it was cold) no furniture, the floor was covered with a cloth material, you can lock them with a key, but safe to leave the tent unlocked. Bathroom was also basic and clean, hair dryer provided. Hot water available confirmed at night not sure early morning. The whole set up is very rudimentary it can be uncomfortable but worth the experience of sleeping in the desert. Breakfast and dinner were fine with plenty of food, vegetables, meats, rice, couscous, tahini, pita bread, fruits and instant coffee. Apparently they turn the electricity off by around 10 pm - not sure if this happened. Towels were provided. All staff in the camp were helpful and nice. The camp is located near Petra (15 minutes drive) we stayed here as part of the 3 Day tour to Petra and Wadi Rum of Israel Tour. We enjoyed the experience.…
We enjoyed the whole atmosphere of being among the rocky outcrops outside of Petra and having an atmospheric evening instead of being in a little hotel box! Some accommodations are a little fancier than here , but these folks are nice and friendly and the food's delicious. You'll be warm enough under four blankets in the Bedouin tents. My only suggestion is to fix the venting and the tea tent so that so much smoke doesn't wind up getting trapped in there from the pot belly stove.
Excellent place to stay, friendly staff, acommodations superb, 15 minutes in car to Petra. We stayed at the bubbles, really nice experience, they have a coffee place like a beoduin meeting place, food was ok, breakfast included and they offered local delicacies as well as a more western type of food. Probably would be best for a three night stay.
Showers had hot water. Staff was super friendly. Plugs available in the dining room. The camp is quite nice. The breakfast (included) and dinner (+10 JOD) were nice. The tent was not that nice because there was wind coming from holes, especially around the door. It takes 15 mins from the visitor center. No towels nor gel shower and shampoo were provided. We paid 80 jod for 4 ppl. We were supposed to be four but we were three and they didn’t accept to reduce the price. At night electricity was suddenly not working anymore. Nice place but in my opinion too expensive.
