This Bedouin camp is set by a rocky area which provides a great setting for the tents. There is big tent that holds the dinning room, a second and third which provide communal area to socialize, rest and relax with a chimney that provided heat and a never ending supply of sweet tea. These tents also have WiFi and plenty of electric plugs to charge all type of devices. Further down you walk towards the tents area all of them spread around and in the center the communal bathrooms. Tents are very basic, just a bed with many covers (it was winter and it was cold) no furniture, the floor was covered with a cloth material, you can lock them with a key, but safe to leave the tent unlocked. Bathroom was also basic and clean, hair dryer provided. Hot water available confirmed at night not sure early morning. The whole set up is very rudimentary it can be uncomfortable but worth the experience of sleeping in the desert. Breakfast and dinner were fine with plenty of food, vegetables, meats, rice, couscous, tahini, pita bread, fruits and instant coffee. Apparently they turn the electricity off by around 10 pm - not sure if this happened. Towels were provided. All staff in the camp were helpful and nice. The camp is located near Petra (15 minutes drive) we stayed here as part of the 3 Day tour to Petra and Wadi Rum of Israel Tour. We enjoyed the experience.

We had a great two night stay at seven wonders luxury camp. I was a little nervous considering you’re out in the middle of nowhere but the amenities and the superior tent dome we booked were absolutely fantastic. The hotel staff were very helpful and gracious and made our stay really wonderful. Keep in mind seven wonders is located about 15 minutes from wadi musa (the main town) and Petra so ideally you’d have a car here. They have breakfast which is included and dinner buffet which is 10 dinar if you can’t make it into town. The view is stunning from the room and they made the rooms as comfortable as you possibly can out in the desert. Absolutely would recommend this place to stay!

We used to travel a lot, but this was by far the best desert camp experience we ever had!
When travelling to the property by car we immediately noticed their signs on the road when getting closer with their mobile phone written on it. So smart! In case you can't find it you can give them a call. But there was no such a situation since it was so well indicated.
On our arrival we were welcomed with great enthusiasm and kindess. The owners helped us with our luggages to our accomodation and gave us all the information we needed to know. We chose to stay in a dome tent, such an experience! Inside there was a bed, private bathroom and toilet. Even towels, bathrobe, slippers, bottles of water, little snacks, shampoo, body lotion and soap. I can genuinly say that it was no less than a hotel! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room was immaculte! Beautifully cleaned every day.
I want to make a sidenote here, this camp is a family business, and only men are working because it is quite heavy work. The rooms were so incredibly clean (despite desert circumstances, I thought there must be the hand of women here, I was mistaken :) The owners and workers take care of their guests like it's their home and do everything with a genuine smile in order to make them feel comfortable.
Breakfast and dinners were good. The evening camp fire was an incredible experience. There was live music, guests were served tea during the whole night. The lanterns outside made it so romantic!
Shokran!

This place was amazing! I recently came and stayed for 2 nights with a group of 5 friends. To begin, they were very communicative, answered all our questions, and were ready to help. The rooms are warm with plenty of blankets, the site is beautiful at night, the atmosphere is authentic and charming, and those who run the camp are truly there for anything you need. They helped us with transportation to/from Petra and helped us even with we missed our bus to get another way to Amman! The food also is good value for money in the area, and it is good and you can truly eat your fill! Some of the greatest moments of Petra were around that fire circle under the stars. I would definitely recommend it and hope to return! :)

Stayed here for two nights in October 2023 as part of an extended stay in Jordan. Rented two bubble dome tents which formed part of the overall "glamping" experience.
Seven Wonders Luxury Camp is located about a 10 minute drive from Petra Visitor centre. There are a mixture of traditional tents and bubble domes within the camp. Breakfast and dinner were basic and that is perfectly understandable given the location.
The bubble dome tents have a double bed, interior seating area, exterior seating on a small balcony, toilet, wash basin and a small shower cubicle. Hot water is turned off between midnight and 05:30 the following morning, although this was nearer 06:10 on the first morning as we got up early to explore Petra ahead of the larger visitor crowds.
The bubble domes are quite compact and there are around 10 individual domes to rent within the camp.
The biggest problem I experienced whilst staying here were the number of flies inside the bubble dome; without any exterior openings (other than the front door), there is no way to get rid of flies once they are inside the bubble dome. On my second day, I swatted a total of six flies inside my bubble dome tent and there was at least one more which was hiding behind the thick curtains of the tent. This meant that I was unable to relax inside the dome for the best part and that unfortunately spoiled the overall experience for me.
My travelling companion (who occupied the second bubble dome tent) suffered a quite unpleasant incident of bed bug bites. The bed sheets were changed by the hotel staff after the first night but this did little to prevent further bites on the second night.

I had a wonderful time here! We stayed in an upgraded dome for a romantic holiday and cultural adventure. It was very comfortable and the view was incredible. The domes have large clear windows facing the bed, so you fall asleep and wake with an amazing view of the rocky mountainous landscape. There was heat and AC in each dome, and a nice shower. It was a great blend of luxury and camping.
The best part was the friendly staff. They were wonderful throughout the trip, and in particular when we suffered a flat tire 10 km outside of town, we called for help and 2 staff members drove out to help us change our tire. In a blizzard... after we checked out of the hotel even! Then they guided us into town and connected us to a mechanic who patched and refilled the tire.
Having that kind of support in a new country brings a great level of comfort. Thanks to everyone at the Seven Wonders Camps!

We stayed 2 nights at the camp. You park right in front. Well located. 3 minutes drive from Little Petra and 15 minutes from Petra (free parking everywhere in Petra)
The staff was also all very friendly and helpful. The owner/manager is also a delight to talk to.
We had one breakfast (5JD) and one diner (10JD) at the camp. The amount of food they give you for that price is just insane. We had like 11 cours meal for diner …
The following day, we had to wake up early so they even made us a lunchbox ❤️
If you like animals, they have 2 dogs and few cat. There’s even one cat that followed us in our room and didn’t want to leave 😂
The room was clean, full bathroom, hot water, AC, bath robes, slippers … they have everything you need.

The bedoiun camp is operated by Atif and his staff who really make a great effort to create a nice atmosphere. Support is always available, the showers and restrooms are checked and cleaned often (keeping in mind that we're in a desert with a lot of sand and dust!).
The tents are ok, the fireplace and evening music are cool.
Breakfast and dinner is served in an own place (looks like a tent, is more a building) and offers a wide spread of very good local food.
Absolute highlight is the illumination of the neaby hills! That looks awesome at night!

Seven wonders luxury camp is an amazing experience. The staff are amazing and they even gave us a secret honeymoon cake!!
The worker Atif was very helpful he took us to the back entrance of petra park for free and always checked to make sure we was okay. There is also a helpful syrian man who has always been polite and helpful.
The dome is definately worth getting as the tents can be underwhelming.
It costs 7JD to get to petra visitors centre if you are planning on visiting petra through the usual route. However, back entrance to petra is better as there is more downhill than uphill walking.
Definately recommend for those who are looking to visit petra through back entrance.
Seven wonders always give complimentary bottles of water too and the food is great

I have no idea, we always travel on our own behalf...
Absolutely! Tents have heaters, and every guest is equipped with a long beduin coat, too. Long tents are always heated up, and warm tea served.
Hello - Jane here from the Camp. The Seven Wonders Bedouin Camp is a simple camp - simple tents and communal toilet/shower blocks separate for men and women. It is suitable for those who have done a lot of camping. We also have another camp next door - The Seven Wonders Luxury CAmp with Dome Tents and Cabins. Both types of accomodation have their own private bathrooms, A/C, tea and coffee, toiletries, hairdryer etc.
Jordan is safe. Wadi Musa/Petra is safe. 80% of our visitors hire their own vehicles because it is also safe to drive yourself around. People leave their cars and houses unlocked because so little theft. No one gets mugged. etc etc.
It's around 7.5 KM from Petra gate. The road is nice. From main road you have to drive bit inside.
Hello,
So far I know dinner and breakfast arrangements are for the camp guests only. But I did notice during my stay there that they arranged dinner for a local group who did not stay at the camp. Call the owner Atef, a very wonderful man, who speaks perfect english +962 797958641. You can also email to get the answer: seven wonders bedouin camp
A personal suggestion: See if you can spend a night there instead of a regular hotel. You can stay at a regular hotel anywhere, any time. I stayed there for 2 nights and I regret NOT staying longer. I gurantee you will never forget the experience. It is very safe. Petra is only 10 minutes away from the camp and the taxi is only 5JD. By the way, please take the Kings Highway to go to Petra. It's worh the extra money. They can pick you up also from Amman. Excellent service.
